Cette vidéo a m'a permis d'épargner 160 € de garagiste, merci ❤. Bien penser a attendre 5 minutes pour que le véhicule se mette en veille avant de débrancher
Great video. My car was ever so slightly different, but I still got the job done. Helps if one has thin and and small hands lol. Thank you for the help
Thanks a lot! This is what Internet is all about - sharing obscure knowledge across the world! I'll give this a go soon - saving 100+ EUR compared to a swap at a workshop. On my car there is no "this thing" @1:52 - not sure what that "thing" does? Anyway, it hopefully means even less hassle with my upcoming DIY swap..!
Update: Battery is now exchanged, based in the great instructions in this video. All went well, 120 EUR saved... :) The cable zip clamp @0:54 was a bit fiddly - it got a bit destroyed in the process, but I managed to re-attach it at least partly afterwards..
This was really a great help for me, without this clip I probably wouldn‘t have succeeded. What a difference to my old Xsara Picasso, there it was so much easier, now this was really hard work.
Big thx for the video. Even following the video is a pretty hard job. Once again thx big time. Ps.: the video cud be named , how to fix Stop and Go system. ( most common problem is a battery)
thanks for this. quite involved isn't it. I'm used to loosening 1 nut holding the battery in place, taking off two terminals wires and done. Is there any procedure after fitting the new battery so the car's computer knows it's been changed?
Thanks for this very helpful tutorial ! I succeeded in this tricky replacement. I have a diesel one and I needed first to remove the air filter block, just unscrewed the ring of air pipe it came quite easily (when putting it back be careful to slide it in the rails on your right!) After this very first step everything is like in the tuto. I did not succeed to unplug the “thing” with white lever but it did not block me for continuing.
Many thanks for the video. My car is a grand picasso 2016 model, if I disconnect the battery is there any procedure needed after reconnecting other than setting the date and time?
Yeah. Thank you very much for sharing. Also I would like to share that I was unsuccesfull with disconecting the big horizontal wire with clip on the left. I guess it is somehow broken, but you can still finish the work. And there is no need to enter radio/battery code after all. But I would like to ask if someone knows how to manually disable start/stop in hardware setting? Thank you!
Thanks very much! I replaced the battery and the car wouldn't start... Watched the video and realised that I hadn't reconnected the wires... whoops! Life saver! 😀 Someone told me that you have to reset something in the ECU. Does anyone here know anything about that? I have a 2016 1.6l Blue HDi.
After more googling, I found a forum where someone said that as long as you replace the battery with the exact same type you are fine... so fingers crossed!
After the battery was connected, how did you reset the system to acknowledge a new battery has been fitted. my dealer said they need to reset if the old battery was bad as it will continue to follow the old charge cycle and not the new one needed.

Wow I think would prefer to change disc pads than a battery I would never have thought it would take so long and difficult :(. . .A Great Video

Yeah, same for me, the part at the front of the battery is smaller and slightly easier to manoeuvre the battery around, but the video certainly helped
Thanks for this. Absolute life saver today being able to watch this for help.

Thanks a lot. Battery replaced thanks to your great video. 10/10 🌟

Thanks for the video. Mine might need an AGM 096 soon. Had a quick look yesterday and thought OMG! But after watching the video not too bad.
Absolute life saver!! Thanks for sharing this!

This is a diesel too, but different orientation, the air filter is on top of the engine.
Thanks, helped me a lot. The diesel clue from Vincent works. Great!
great help indeed!
thanks! I have an diesel, so it was just a little bit differnt
Thx a lot. It helps before taking decision to do it myself.
Thank you so much for sharing!

Good video mate. The battery is well buried in there. I wouldn't like to work on these engines regularly!

What battery do I need for 1.6 HDI with start-stop system? I wan't to buy the right one before disassembly
많은 도움이 됐습니다.감사합니다

Ive read this as well. Slightly hesitant to do it myself

Thanks for doing this video. I just found it. Do you have to program the new battery using a scan tool or doesn't it need coding?
Did you need to code the new battery??
Why does people say online u have to remove black terminal first to prevent damage then do the opposite way
Hello. After replacement, does the battery require software coding?
@@grigoreclaudiu1073 nope, i didn't do any coding on this one. And no error message too
Did you need to register the new battery into the BMS via a scan tool after fitting? Interested as need to replace mine this week and have stop/start.
Nope. Straight replace. My stop/start came back after 3 weeks of usage of the new battery.
MBL - Random DIY Hi, that’s great. Thanks for the video - that’s going to help me out big time when replacing mine! Cheers
Thanky s a lot
I read that you should always release the minus clamp first, isn't that correct?
I've heard that too, but in this case it looks quite impossible,
Merci 😉
What years does the mkII cover?
2014 to 2017 as grand C4 picasso.
And renamed as c4 space tourer on 2018
Thank you
..a tak wyciąga się akumukator z nowego c4 gp.... chore!
why so stupid location of battery, was enough space to put on front and all wires back.
Thank you
