Firearms especially Glocks if you hear a click when you pull the trigger that means the firing pin dropped to hit the round in the chamber because the safety was disengaged when the trigger is pulled. Either three things happened. 1. The criminal with no knowledge of gun functionality failed to even chamber a round and had an empty chamber but full magazine resulting in a dry fire. 2. The striker spring attached to the firing pin wasn't strong enough and resulted in a light primer strike failing to ignite the round. 3. The tip of the firing pin was broken causing the gun to not even be able to fire a single round. This woman was lucky either way but this shows you need to be situationally aware at all times and carry a gun

I had got carjacked in April of this year. She took my keys from around my neck while we were fighting. I’m 71 n she was around 30 years old. She had an accident with my car n it’s was total. God bless me she had no weapons

I don’t recommend anyone fight for a car when someone has a gun to your face, that’s why you pay car Insurance. Let them take it, keep your life and have the insurance company buy you a new one under your comprehensive protection.
The problem is that sometimes they will kill you anyway. The best thing to do is to keep both eyes and ears always open for situations that feel "off" (like cars slowing down to corner you), never idle inside your car in public or at a sketchy open red light (red light ticket is cheaper than your life), and just floor the gas if people ever approach your window (the car can go 60+ mph & a moving body is much more difficult to shoot than a stationary target at the driver's side). NEVER get caught as a sitting duck and waste precious seconds arguing like this woman did.

I want to clarify it was not a jam. The way every Glock functions which is the firearm they used with an extended mag tells you it wasn't a jam it was even luckier. When a Glock jams it's a visual situation you can see and you won't hear the firing pin drop aka the click from pulling the trigger. 3 things can cause this to happen. 1. The criminal had no knowledge on the operation of a firearm and had a loaded magazine but failed to even chamber a round so when he pulled the trigger the firing pin dropped into an empty chamber resulting in a dry fire. 2. The striker spring on the firing pin is too weak resulting in a weak strike on the primer of the round failing to set it off. 3. The firing pin tip broke off rendering the gun unusable. All I'm saying is if you hear a Glock click and it didn't go off and it had ammo in it count yourself more than lucky because it wasn't a jam. Either user error or cheap parts played a role in this for sure and thank God she's ok and alive.
I'm glad she survived this terrifying ordeal, and I pray that the robbers are brought to justice. However, for the young and impressionable who may be viewing this, her false bravado is not the example to follow. She could have gotten herself and her daughter killed to save a material possession that can be replaced. Human lives are irreplaceable. I had got carjacked in April of this year. She took my keys from around my neck while we were fighting. I’m 71 n she was around 30 years old. She had an accident with my car n it’s was total. God bless me she had no weapons

I don’t recommend anyone fight for a car when someone has a gun to your face, that’s why you pay car Insurance. Let them take it, keep your life and have the insurance company buy you a new one under your comprehensive protection.
The problem is that sometimes they will kill you anyway. The best thing to do is to keep both eyes and ears always open for situations that feel "off" (like cars slowing down to corner you), never idle inside your car in public or at a sketchy open red light (red light ticket is cheaper than your life), and just floor the gas if people ever approach your window (the car can go 60+ mph & a moving body is much more difficult to shoot than a stationary target at the driver's side). NEVER get caught as a sitting duck and waste precious seconds arguing like this woman did.

I want to clarify it was not a jam. The way every Glock functions which is the firearm they used with an extended mag tells you it wasn't a jam it was even luckier. When a Glock jams it's a visual situation you can see and you won't hear the firing pin drop aka the click from pulling the trigger. 3 things can cause this to happen. 1. The criminal had no knowledge on the operation of a firearm and had a loaded magazine but failed to even chamber a round so when he pulled the trigger the firing pin dropped into an empty chamber resulting in a dry fire. 2. The striker spring on the firing pin is too weak resulting in a weak strike on the primer of the round failing to set it off. 3. The firing pin tip broke off rendering the gun unusable. All I'm saying is if you hear a Glock click and it didn't go off and it had ammo in it count yourself more than lucky because it wasn't a jam. Either user error or cheap parts played a role in this for sure and thank God she's ok and alive.
