I love Mary's take from a perspective of suffering, and surrender and purpose.

I think to believe in jesus is to live in the direction of jesus. I follow a path of humanitarian ways in life.

Our performance can never measure up to what Christ did for us on the Cross of Calvary. God loves us no matter the circumstances, 'cause he wants to be our Creator in everyday life, he wants us to be the work of his hands. Even if the outcome is not certain according to our human understanding, the inspiration and power he gives in every aspect of life is unmeasurable and worth giving up for short-term pleasures that even leave guilt in our conscience and being. Lord, we love you, thank you for your goodness. So let us stand firm and unfrigthened against the wiles of the devil in accordance with philippians 1:18-30 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

I like the way Peterson puts it in The Message: "Alive, I'm Christ's messenger; dead, I'm his prize."

This is just what I needed today. I am feeling so overwhelmed with some major life changes between my friends and I, and I have been feeling more alone than ever. Thank you Peter & Mary for being such a Christ-like example and producing these podcasts, and I pray for you all every single day. You both are SO loved!! :)

What Mary said, that she feels the redemption of her suffering when she is able to encourage her friends. Yes. I believed my purpose in life was just to feel pain because that's all I'd known, until I heard my friends saying that they would have given up if not for seeing my courage. IN courage we ENcourage. Talk about redemption!!

I first met with the idea of redemptive suffering after becoming Catholic. I feel like they pay more attention to the Passion - the suffering of Christ - than Protestants but it's a hard thing to wrap my mind around. Thank you for this, Peter and Mary.

This was so helpful to me today. You two have been a blessing in my life - don’t have a small group right now so your videos are so uplifting. I have been dealing with health issues for 11 years now and, as Mary knows, some days are really tough. ❤️🇨🇦

In the course of my life I’ve had a struggle with staying alive, mostly because I just want to go HOME, I want to be with Jesus! Like to me it’s an easy decision and I don’t understand really why people don’t want that (and I can see the beauty on earth) but a little while ago I kinda took on a mantra of thanks to the US Marine Corp “let no man (or woman) be left behind” because while there are days I’m like “let the rapture come” mostly I’m like No! There are too many people yet to be told about Christ and we have to tell them and at least give them a choose by example or voice (in whatever obedience God asks us to do, some sow, some real, and we’re a body, we work together not as individuals!!) so that they can (hopefully) choose Christ before it’s too late. And I say “too late” not because I know if we’re in end times because no one knows the day or hour Jesus will return, BUT no one knows that time so we shouldn’t sit back and just assume we have time either. But again, we don’t do the saving, so it’s more about obedience then running around like a crazy person...I just realised that while I was breathing God had a plan for my existence even if I didn’t understand it, and even if I wanted to go HOME. So trusting him was more important. Because ultimately it’s about his plan, NOT my life specifically because I’m going to heaven! But there are others that aren’t! I hope I’m making some sense. Oh and I’m not saying that this is morose because generally I’m not! Just some days are hard, but even good days, I know heaven is better! But still, I wouldn’t want to knowingly usurp Gods plans if he decided that he wanted to use me for some reason (because ultimately that’s grace because he’s God and he doesn’t NEED me, or any of us, but he chooses to use us! Which is pretty cool I think!)

Thank you so much for sharing The Word with us. I love to watch both of you so much. And I need this so much. What version are you reading from because it does not match my KJV? I would like follow along with you in the same version so I would like to get your version if I do not already have it in my arsenal of Bibles!

The Bible says to “pray continually” - we need to ask God for his support, wisdom and love. Praying is tough so keep trying and keep tuning in. Rick Warren is also very good. Never give up. Hugs ❤️
