1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup freeze dried apples (be creative and use whatever fruit you would like!!
1 TBSP cinnamon sugar
My daughters, rough and tough at nine years old loves her little country life and gardening, we go camping on horseback, locally nothing far but she loves to think she’s in survival mode all the time. This would be so much fun for her to have a little breakfast snacks

I just learned about the group doing the freeze dryer and all the things you can be doing with a freeze dryer. I have been wanting one for three or four years, but I'm retired and money takes longer to save up. Freeze drying looks like a great way to preserve food.

Hello! I dehydrated my apple peels and crushed them up and add to my oats. A little cinnamon and sugar makes it all good!

I love using freeze dried fruit in my oatmeal, too. I vacuum seal it in pint jars so I always have it in my working pantry.

This is such a great idea. My sister was a diabetic and quit using the flavored instant oatmeal because she said it had too much sugar. This is a great way to have the convenience of "instant" oatmeal but healthier.
Absolutely! I like using honey in mine but man the kids love that cinnamon sugar haha! 😁

Love this! Thank you! My boys love oatmeal too. I love how making packets oneself lets one pick the grain form (rolled or other), sugar content, and other add-ins.
I do make up my own oatmeal mix, so easy and healthy. Great idea to make it easy for the kiddos.

Great easy recipe. I want a freeze dryer so bad, but I do worry about using the food once it’s freeze dried, so this is a great video.
We had a huge slow down in egg production over the winter, like literally not 1 egg from 40 hens. And we used nothing but our freeze dried egg storage for about 4 months! I'm so glad I had it available with the insane prices! We personally like to freeze dry individual ingredients more than meals so that we can use them for anything. We use a lot of veggies also!
