Man, I was looking forward to seeing the ending too, bummer. You had it in the bag. I had a feeling this is how it'd end as you were playing on auto-pilot a tad near the end there and this is that kinda game that absolutely slaps you around if you autopilot.
I actually wouldn't mind if you found a way to reload somehow, as indeed this was a bit *too* silly of a death.
It was a very silly death, but I can't reload in classic mode. There's the ALT F4 method but I just don't like using it. I might do next season with a lot of cut content to get us back to this point as quickly as possible

I’m here to offer my thanks on your most recent video for all the tutorials. My condolences on the timing. I remember having a gnome monk in ADOM who had found every useful spellbook and almost every broken artifact (I was wearing like 9 of them) only to somehow be two shot by lightning spells in the air temple. I kick mined like 5 levels of dungeon to get the gems to afford those spell books. It’s the journey that matters. And now I’m journeying in COQ with a gunslinger who has horns- so thanks.

After making your way through those cursed historic sites with kraken, chrome pyramids, mirror bugs etc it's only fitting you die to a lone salt kraken in the dunes. Rough way to go but so goes Qud. Loved this season thanks for the uploads!

Yes, every instance of Mumble Mouth gets checked every time it enters a screen it hasn't been to before, so running through the desert vertically is the fastest way to get secrets. Totally safe, too. I mean, what are the odds that you'll run straight into a kraken's mouth as soon as you enter a new screen?

Yeah the Graftek was too easy to cheese apparently. I miss it!
I was running a character using the gigantism defect mod, had found a gigantic pump shotgun at level 10ish resolving his one biggest weakness even if not in the best way(took carapace, horn, burrowing claws, multi-arm to cover armor and weaponry as best I could). At level 20 I went to one of the furthest east historic sites was fighting a ton of king crab legendaries and all their spawn, floor two I'm absolutely swarmed....and a star kraken starts nomming it's way towards me. I desperately tried to fight my way free to run to the stairs but I just couldn't get through the crabs fast enough. At the last second I turned and hoped I could daze-stun the kraken with natural fists...alas, it was not to be. My flurry did in fact manage to stun, but it didn't stop the red zone and I got nommed the next round. That one is pretty much all on me.

- sneak into the moon stair to static reroll your skills for easy tinker 3 at level 15
- zero jell psionically cleaves and someone doesn't onetap you
- run to an adjacent mountain tile to heal
- lvl 1 seeker rolls you with sunder because your MA sucks

this reminds me of the time i was soloing a star kraken and i had a freeze ray, it was all fine until the one turn i accidentally skipped the freeze part of the strategy :)

Just finished watching the prior videos, and i want to give thanks to you for making this series super helpful for teaching new players all sorts of stuff! Ive recently gotten into Qud, playing a True Kin using some of the cudgel guidance and general advice from this series, and i finally got to beat Golgotha for the first time!! Even managed tk make the risky trek to Yd Freehold for future trading.
Do you have any advice for good ways to prep for Bethesda Susa? Currently im not too great at range, and so im worried about the 3 boss battles on the way down.
It might be worth mentioning, I *did* luck out and got ahold of some Crysteel armor and a Crysteel mace. Hoping to get 2 mauls cuz I found a Giant Hands implant!
Glad to hear it! For Susa you need some cold resist, and some blaze injectors to counter enemies that freeze you. Take your time, always have a way out behind you!

It might help your content appeal to an international audience if you could pronounce the /t/ phoneme instead of replacing it with a glottal stop. (e.g. watter = waht-tur instead of wo'-'uh).

I'm British. The glottal stop is how I speak! I don't think adding the T will make my videos more appealing to international viewers haha :)
