  • This is a brief overview of the new Instax SQ40. A square format instax camera which shoots analog photos using instax film. #instax #instant #analog #photography #fujifilm #polaroid #sq40

Would you recommend the SQ40 as a first camera?

If you mean is it an easy to use camera which lets you shoot right out of the box - yes absolutely. If you want to learn about photography and have manual controls than no it does not offer that. Heading out to a party or event in an hour then yes great easy option.

The quick answer is that the SQ40 is an easier to operate with less buttons square camera. The SQ6 has a few optional functions whereas the SQ40 is a terrific simple turn on and shoot and all is done for you with no options. When you look at the SQ6 you can see on the back the various optional choices. It is also fully automatic. So in some ways it comes down to choice of color you prefer. SQ40 is black or black clearly. SQ6 which was phased out of the line up still survives in limited colors. The SQ1 is the replacement in three colors. How's that ?
