The first one is my favorite, what about you guys? video chapters 00:00 SMB Advance 2: SMB3 05:55 SMW with Levels from SMB3 12:42 SMB3 Golden 20:31 SMB 3X
Something's not right with the walk cycle in SMB Golden. The animation doesn't line up with his bobbing. There's no clear pattern in the locomotion to give his movement weight. So it seems like he's floating while flailing with his legs. Other than that it's clearly the best looking version.
@@Dark_Mario_Bros. I'd say when the bah some in use the orchestral hit for it. I think it would sound much nicer! Other than that the song sounds perfect as it is
the second one really hits different. the random music (Mario World GBA's level list music as the title screen, the NSMBU theme, the remixed athletic theme...), the level design not being 1-to-1 with the original Mario 3, and many other tiny details gives this version the most charm out of all imo.
The first one's backgrounds are way too detailed and nothing distinguishes them from foreground elements apart from the parallax. They should be lighter or darker, and not have horizontal lines the same heights as the foreground. And less busy.
Well, the first one just use the smb3 graphichs and name but have literally nothing to do with SMB3, which is hilarious. The second one has the smb 3 levels but doesn't use the smb 3 musics for whatever reason. The third one uses redrawn style graphichs but it's very faithful in the music usage, but that would need more tweaks imo. So I'd pick the first and second ones most likely
I'm worried that more and more rom hack makers are less interested in adding new boss monsters from classic games or new in general, or adding more power-ups from other games etc and instead seem more interested in limiting the graphics and making levels from the other games but without all the stuff those levels offered. It's like they're just taking games, scooping out their charm and maybe having less stuff over all. It's weird. In other news? I wish Super Mario Bros X2 would add 4 player local co-op as well as Simon Belmont to the roster. It seems to be the only game with promise that actually tries to add MORE instead of take away more stuff from what we loved from the games as kids or wear the hollowed-out empty shells and skins of those games.
The reason why games from this era had this wonderful, mysterious quality to them is simple, and a little bit sad. We didn’t have the internet. Every secret was up to us to figure out. Now that we can just do a simple google search, that feeling is gone forever. Imagine a game like Tunic, which came out this year, without the ability to google the answers to every puzzle? It would fall right into the SMB3 category of greatness.
To be fair, new games that are good also had a lot of lessons learned for them in advance about what to do and what not to do. Programmers of the 80s had far less examples to draw from!
It's why longplays of even the longest NES games only last a few hours but when you were playing them brand new, it took months or sometimes years of mastery till you can finish the game.
bro they filled the games with secrets to stop people from refunding the games and to make them buy magazines 💀💀 whem i play games, i dont look up info cause i dont want to ruin the experience. but NOT having that choice did more harm than good for most games
None of these are actually SMB3 faithfully recreated in SMW's engine, or even recreated gameplay-wise but with SMW's aesthetic. Has no one made a proper SMB3 in SMW at all on the internet?
#1 - I love the fact that they took creative liberties with the background. Not really a fan of the limited NES color palette though. #2 - Interesting to see. But not interesting enough for me to want to download it. #3 - While it looks very good, I can't say I'm interested in this one. #4 - AND THERE WE GO. That's the one for me. Visuals from the All Stars remake of SMB3. (although I don't like the fact that some SMW music was used)
Something else I want to say...I don't know if this can even be accomplished or not, but I would seriously love to see hack "remakes" similar to the fourth hack of the other games in the All Stars collection. Preferable as a total conversion hack of the All Stars collection itself. I'd love to be able to go through all the old Mario games with the SMW physics (and NES remake sprites/visuals).
I’ve always really liked ❤ Mario 3 NES graphics. Something about their 8 bit look feels more magical like than Mario Worlds saturated SNES graphics. Mario 3 is just too good to top.
The first one is my favorite, what about you guys?

Honestly i really dislike the way SMB3 Golden looks, even without the weird walk cycle and Mario sprite. Just doesn't look right
@TanookiMax absolutely lol
6:08 Sonic 3's Launch Base Zone Act 2 Prototype Version for No reason
6:12 And NSMBU Overworld Theme
Fun fact: I made that nsmbu overworld theme for Super Mario World. I should probably work on a more accurate version later.

Streets of Rage - Stage Clear
(Sounds awesome with the SMW instrument set, too!)

My favorite is the first because it's a mix between NES graphics and a lot of detail, plus it has the Advance Coins
Thx 4 da ♥️
Welcome!
I've seen a romhack called "Super Mario World in SMB3 style" now it looks like someone made a hack that's vice versa. Nice!
The first one's backgrounds are way too detailed and nothing distinguishes them from foreground elements apart from the parallax. They should be lighter or darker, and not have horizontal lines the same heights as the foreground. And less busy.
SMB Golden: Best graphics.
SMB3X: Great level design.

The last one be just like the first one, have nothing to do with smb3, only the graphichs, music and name, the levels are all original

I like the world map from SMB3 Golden. But I like the graphics of the first game.

Launch base zone's beta theme 😂
6:08 this is the beta version of the song the launch base act 2
Oh cool I've always wanted to play Mario 3 on SNES
7:20 Uh why is there streets of rage 2 music for the end stage theme?
26:34 The Happy song from video's ending.
What’s with Mario’s hoppity walk and crooked neck Toshiba in first rom hack? 😜😜😜

Yeah that's true, I used to get really irritated with konami games because of this.
The "New" serie's low quality is not because this

good job one of my favorite mario games just supported u
The SMW sound effects in SMB3 throw me off.
I'm uncomfortable with how Yoshi stares at me as he runs lol
I dont like the background on the first level, it looks like a false platform to jump on. But I did like they tried to incorporate parallax scrolling
Streets of Rage level end music at 7:20
#1 SMW with Levels from SMB3
#2 SMB 3X
#3 SMB Advance 2: SMB3
#👎 SMB3 Golden
I just love Chris Pratt in SMB3 Golden! 🤪
🤣
5:46 i legit thought the game crashed

Me encanta el marrito 3 con gráficos del marrito world =)
I wish they could change the nes sfx

The Ones Is From SNES
Third Is The Best.
I prefer the first two
this all just confuses me and years from now I will have the mandela effect
😂 maybe years later when you watch this video again, you will remember you saw it somewhere and gave it a 👍
All of these are fan hacks Squirrel not official games.
Wooow!🛐
second is the best
The best is Super mario world on the true Super nintendo.
Cool!
It sort of reminds me of the 1989 Super Mario World beta
SMB
Super Mario Bros. 3 X isn't a remake of SMB3.
The video is very good
Nenhum dos 4
NICE
FEET
i didnt like any of these. especially smb3 golden
