This video is about PO GUIDE PART 1 CLASS-1 that will cover GDS TO POSTMAN STUDY MATERIAL NOTES in Paper-II as per the New syllabus. PO GUIDE PART 1 is an important topic in the GDS to Postman syllabus as it is given in Paper 1 and paper 2 as well.
Post office Guide part 1 is given as MCQs in Paper 1 of GDS to Postman Exam and GDS to MTS Exam for 23X2 =46 marks including Products and services. However, PO Guide part 1 is given in MCQ for 5x2=10 marks in paper 2 of the new revised syllabus for GDS to Postman which covers only the delivery part of the postman.
What is PO Guide Part 1?
Ans: PO Guide Part 1 deals with Rules and regulations relating to Inland posts. Further, Post office Guide Part 1 contains information on all items of business transacted in a Post office.
The syllabus under delivery in PO guide Part 1 includes:
Delivery of mails
Refusal of article
Payment of eMoney Order
Redirection
Instruction regarding address change
Articles addressed to the deceased person
Liability to detention to certain mails
Facilities provided by Postmen in rural areas

I don’t provide any material.
Many people spend their time collecting materials, but they don’t take action to START preparing. Reason why they can’t get through.
But, DO THiS to succeed:
I suggest to prepare your own notes 📝. Further, you revise by seeing the videos multiple times and this will help you register in your mind directly ( finally that is what is expected... to register in your mind that take you to exam with confidence) just follow the classes, repeat listening them. Then, see my old mcq videos, try to answer in the comments section (it’s free😊) some MTS model papers I made, watch them. I also made 3 videos for revision classes for MTS in postal volumes . Watch them full.
If you do all this, you don’t need any material, your mind will be with full of material and you will definitely crack the exam .

Unfortunately Department has not updated the PO Guide part 1 since 1985. You can’t get latest updated version until Department revises it.
But, relevant parts information you can get from India post website in bits and pieces. That’s why I have provided the updated information in my videos by scraping all the bits and pieces and aligned to help you.

In the case of registered articles addressed to deceased person, applications for taking article those applications will be sent to HOC concerned right
Sir my dought is, that pastmasters are having authority on ordinary uninsured articles or all type of articles except uninsured articles
Postmasters power is for only uninsured articles that too without any disputes. All other articles particularly accountable articles like RL Regd parcel, insured letter/parcel to be decided by HoC only .

When the witness is not personally known to the postman, he or she must before taking delivery of the article, be identified and the person who identifies him (or her) will be required to sign the receipt and acknowledgement as a witness to the delivery of the article.

In that rulings it’s given only for prepayment of postage only - minimum is 500. PO Guide part 1 is part of your syllabus.
