Eyelash curler heating tip: I run it under hot water for a few seconds, wipe off the excess water with a make up cloth, and use immediately. Much easier to control the heat, in my experience, than with a hair dryer. Love these videos, Frederique. Merci, ma biche!
If you have to run to the store or market and don't have time to do makeup...always wear a stylish pair of sunglasses and bright lipstick. Works!😎💋 (pre Covid)
Hello my lovelies, I had so much fun creating this video, I hope you will love it! Don't forget to give a big thumb up, and subscribe! Have a lovely holidays xx 😘
I do the same thing only I rarely wear make up so, instead, I use left over face moisturiser or olive oil or coconut oil, when cooking...Even butter will work.
My beauty hack is to brighten the inner corner of my eyes with highlighter it makes a big difference and my other hack is to use dark brown liner instead of black to give a fresher look. I also sometimes uses saline eye drops for brighter looking eyes. I like the powder tip for glasses.
Must try these. If you are very pale blonde, like me, I prefer a teal/bluey green liner. Not so hard looking on pale blondes and it picks up the bit of grey and grey in my eyes that are only a soft light grey brown, no particular strong colour.
Beauty hacks: I always apply blush on top of the cheekbones (where the highlighter would go) for a more youthful look and I curl my eyelashes with my fingers, after I apply 1 - 2 coats of mascara (should be semi dried) I gently push up my lashes with my fingers and they stay put all day
In between coloring, I use eyeshadow on my brows instead of pencil for a more natural look. Also I keep a bottle of top coat in my car. I get all settled then apply. It dries on my drive to work.
Yes I like this kind of video ♥️ beauty hacks for our age group are always great! I don’t want gimmicky ones like you sometimes see on TH-cam .. just practical useful ones like this! Thank you x
A beauty hack for eyebrows: to avoid eyebrow pencil from melting and fading from your brows, first lightly powder the eyebrows, brush them with a spooly, and then pencil them in. The pencil will last and last! What this does is eliminate the skin oils under the brow hairs.
Frederique, I have been binge watching your videos, I know this may sound strange but I was en immersion francais depuis la maternelle and I thought I forgot everything. Listening to you speak in your French accent makes so many words and phrases come back to me. I’m practising now at home tout seule. Merci, je t’aime❤️😘😘 Bisous de Vancouver, Canada 💋
Lots of great ideas. My mum taught me to put mascara on using both hands, so I don't need to cross my right hand over my face to put it on my left eye. So much easier
I love the hacks! More hacks anytime! I am already using your lips one, with the red lipstick video about the liner, and this was even more complete! My hack is that-- because I am a natural redhead I have to use sunscreen, and I picked up the idea from the makeup artist Mary Greenwell ( used to do the makeup for Princess Di) that the color correcting sunblock from Chanel, "CC cream" can be used almost completely in place of foundation for redheads. Since our skin is so pale. Very fair blondes could find this, too. If you want more coverage you can also layer light colored foundation on top. I've used foundation with higher SPF since I was in my 20s and my skin is relatively unlined and pretty great compared to others my age. For me it was just a matter of avoiding sunburn, which I got as soon as I had been out in the sun for 15 minutes. I also make it fun to take off my makeup by wearing a crazy turban or hair bow. I used to be so lazy about taking all my makeup off carefully, especially if I had a glass of wine. But now I think I look so cute in the hair bow or such that I look forward to it! It's become a serious discipline!! Thank you ~~ Frédérique, _merci mille fois, vous êtes si jolie!_
WOW have fantastic grey cover products and I also use waterproof mascara at a pinch and eyeshadow😊 my tip is, I use mascara to shape my eyebrows and cover those pesky grey hairs
Frederique, you look so beautiful and elegant and thank you for the great beauty hacks! A few of my beauty hacks would be to use cream rather than powder cosmetics whenever possible because they’re less drying and they give your skin a dewy younger glow. Just use powder in the oily T zone when necessary. Blinking while applying mascara helps to lengthen and separate the lashes. I also like to have a lipstick in a shade that can be used on my cheeks and my eyes as well. Exfoliating my skin at least a couple times a week also helps a lot.
Fabulous video again. Loved the eyeglasses hack a definite must try, also Guerlain is most certainly the best bronzer on the planet and one of my hacks is to use it to define my crease . Also, ever since I was 13 I have given myself a weekly facial which consists of a cleanse, a steam and a home made mask of beaten egg whites. Happy Christmas lovely xx
I love the pink lipstick and red nails it’s very French to not be scared of pops of colour. I think people are scared of colours but French love to experiment with colours, I think it is brilliant and chic! Great video gorgeous 😘
In a winter when you're driving, put a thick layer of handcream on the backs of your hands. It will soak in and protect from the drying effects of the heaters. Also, in summer, don't forget to put a good sunscreen on the back of your hands, and also on your face, neck and ears, especially on the side of your face that's nearest the window when you are driving. It's amazing how much faster this side ages.
BECAUSE of you, Frederique, I NOW sport a " French bob". I've always maintanined a dangling mane. But CHOP CHOP. and voila, its all ove the floor. And I feel much more svelte and lightfooted !!!
My favorite hack is to use a mattifying sunscreen when my skin is oily or when it’s warm outside. It helps cut down on the shine factor enough that I only have to touch up with powder once during a work day. I wouldn’t do this regularly during winter unless you have oily skin because it can be drying.
Hi Frederique. As A CHANEL MUA for 20 plus years, my fave hack is to use my fingers as tools instead of a beauty blender or brushes. Yes, of course sometimes brushes are needed for eyes, etc. but to perfect complexion, foundations and concealer melt into skin from heat of your fingers..more natural and skinlike. Stay well and Merry Christmas to u and Oscar..XXXX
I use brown eyeliner and take a thin brush and rub it gently in tiny circles over the eyeliner to give it a smokey look. Keep the beauty tips rolling. Your makeup is gorgeous!!
I’ve been using a nude eyeliner since you recommended in another video and it’s brilliant! I also use it in the corners of my eyes, just on the bony parts because then it doesn’t crease. Looking forward to trying some of your other tips xx
Your Vasoline tip yotally works great! My tip is a highlighter in the inner eye, it makes the eye's look more awake with a little sparkle. I use the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow, I even use the bronzer as a quick eye shadow.
Mascara on top lashes only and eyeliner upwards from the end of the eye in straight line . Use eyeshadow more than eyeliner for subtle eyes 50plus. For hooded eyes medium shadow above the crease and blend
Waterproof Mascara is my go to for making my eyebrows look fuller, taming fly-away hair (on the top of my head) and gray hair---who has that?! LOL I also use highlighter on the cupid's bow of my lips, and I line my lips with a lip liner, the same color as my lips for a fuller effect. Yes, a dark contour shadow or lip liner beneath the lower lip is perfect for a fuller lip. Add the gloss where the light catches those beautiful features and I will look almost as good as you. Merci, for the beauty tips. As always, you are GORGEOUS!
Hi Frederique, I've just subscribed to your channel..I love in Ireland and love everything French ❤️ so happy I found your channel. I'm also trying to learn some French by watching videos I enjoy. XOXO
You're videos are so addictive. I use a regular pencil to draw in my eyebrows. I understand this might not work for many people, but the color works great on me and because it remains stiff you can easily fill-in and shape. The color works great for ashy blondes with light blonde eyebrows.
Whats been working for me as I've gotten fine lines under my eyes, is to no longer set my concealer with powder. Then, if it settles throughout the day, I can pat it with my finger tips and its good as new!
Love the hint about the highlighter for lips, that's one I shall try.... but remember... it's our secret! And have a lovely holiday season. Look forward to the next one.
I also really like the white or neutral eyeliner trick. It really opens my eye area. It also gives a brighter fresh look like I've gotten a full night sleep. My biggest weapon is moisturizer every night and morning, exfoliating once every 2 werks, which really helps to keep my dry to combination skin looking fresh. Therefore my make up goes on smoother. Before applying my makeup, I like to first apply face primer to have a softer look, and I find my makeup last longer throughout my day.
Girl I know you did a capsule wardrobe type video already but I would love a video of let’s say 7 items to start your wardrobe under a certain price? If that makes sense. I want to have a more cohesive wardrobe but I find I struggle with what to spend money on. Thank you.💕🌸🥰 I have a beauty hack for anyone! When applying moisturizer/ serums, eye creams apply to damp skin!
For nails: I've started using the nail stickers. Super easy and fast to change out once a week based on whatever outfit I'm wearing for the weekend. My other nail practice is to get in the car, get everything ready (seatbelt, start the engine, etc) before painting my nails. They dry while I drive!
Great tips and thanks for sharing! For me a tip is using mascara on the lower lashes as well. I find it makes the eye look bigger 😉 Hugs my friend from snowy Canada and Joyeux Noël et Bonne Année! 🎄💖
Thank you, Freddie! Top information!! A tip/hack for me is to exercise for 5-10 min before washing my face in the morning. You just get a lovely glow. The exercise followed by the face-wash helps wash out any toxic particles created by stress and pollution! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
I love beauty hacks. Mine is to apply contour under my chin and underneath near to my blusher in a greyish tone, I am light/medium, then hilighter, then blush
@@iahorvath I put a little bit of soda bicarbonate on the top of my toothpaste and then brush my teeth. Once a week only and not for too long. I have never experienced any side effects. Normally, I try to use whitening gel with peroxide (I always purchase from my dentist) but it can be expensive to use it on regular basis (£75 per 2 small syringies).
My hygienist advises to do this as baking soda is an antibacterial, and tarter is made up of an accumulation of dead bacteria. Lovely to think about, isn't it?
Yes I love your new haircut and the helpful beauty hacks! I hope I can remember to try them. First I need to buy an eyelash curler. Also the pink lipstick is pretty
For the glasses dent you can also buy some little socks to put on the end of your glasses, they're called 'byebyenosedents', they're meant to balance out the weight so the glasses are no longer pushing down on your face. So you could wear the glasses all day and have no dent at all. I haven't tried them because they don't ship to Sweden but they have great reviews!
I swear by Rose Water. It really hydrates my skin. Loved your nail tip. Before having kids, I LOVED painting my nails, and every night I would add another top coat on my painted nails. They would last pretty much a week depending on how my week went.
I have a problem with too much mascara on the brush when I pull it out, so I always have a clean lint free cloth to wipe it on before applying. So much Asher than trying to remove it from my eyelashes. Thanks for your tips! 💕 Happy NewYear! 🥂
I love using one product in multiple ways: Greasy "roasted" for eyebrows, eye shadow and as a contour product. RMS lip2cheek as blush and for the lips. I use my foundation as a concealer, too - one extra layer. Saves so much time, space and products!
The less cosmetic make up junk we use, the better our skin and hair. Saves money and you can then spend it on serious skin CARE. But, even with that, less is best. I avoid too much skin cleaning, scrubs etc and try to make my own pure, natural beauty treatments from natural foods. Basically, if I can't safely eat it, it doesn't go on my skin or hair. After not washing hair with bought shampoos and conditioner or using make up for 12 months, my hair and skin has improved out of sight. But it's hard at first because it feels dirty. It's not, though. Plain water with a bit of salt or vinegar will clean skin. Things like butter or olive oil etc will moisturise. Carb Soda cleans hair, wine or cider vinegar will condition. If ends are dry, rub a little olive oil in. Olive oil also helps nails. Itchy skin and scalp and excess oil is cleaned up easily with a cup of freshly brewed green tea. You can also drink it, though not what you used kin your skin or hair. And itchy eyes, conjunctivitis etc seems to vanish if I wipe my eyes with a tissue dipped in pure plain freshly brewed black coffee (no sugar) but this only works with coffee made from pure coffee beans, not instant coffees, which contain added chemicals, possibly unhealthy toxic ones and no way would I ever drink coffee bar, no matter how classy and up market it is. You have no idea what they have added to your coffee eg to make you crave more, so you buy more cups...
I never leave the house without filling in my brows. Also I use a liquid eyeliner to paint or tight line underneath my lashes and move the liquid liner around the base of the lashes to fill in between them. Then I do the same type of back and forth motion painted line, very thin and tight to the top of the lash line. I am blonde and use brown and just that alone makes my lashed look double their thickness. Thank you for all your wonderful tips. Cheers to you and Oscar!
Tap setting spray under your eyes before applying concealer and powder after application of concealer. Will last all day without creasing or moving around. Love your videos.
Love the hack about the crayon to line the lips, when i use my eye lash curler i angle it inwards to the nose so the the lashes on the outer eye flick up and out xx 😍
The powder on the glasses tip! OMG, I would never have thought of this. I wear little to no makeup, even at 50 (any day now...), but this may be worth buying some translucent powder for. ;) Eyelash curler and the neutral/nude pencil on the inside of the eye are my 'always do' tips. I also think that MILD teeth whitening is a way to look youthful - but don't go overboard a la Ross on FRIENDS!
The people who criticize you...are they perfect all the time? We are all human and only angels are perfect, important is to be a good Person and you are 💗💗⚘👍
@@ms.frederique I tried it today and it made a huge difference! I love jo malone but the English pear and freesia fades so quickly - I have told my mum about this and she is going to try it now
I have very hooded eyes, so my eyelashes must dry quickly in order to avoid a mess. I simply close my eyes halfway after I apply mascara, then gently apply the blow dryer on a cool setting. Lashes are all done!
Enjoyed your video and picked up many tips. I wish I could contribute a hack but my experience is not up to it. You know so much more than I do. So thank you as I love to learn from you. See you next time! ❤️ Suzy

Wow, i have used my eye mascara but had no idea there was an actual hair mascara!!!
Yeah baby! so easy to use x
I bought that immediately.
Beautiful and great tips !
Love the idea of the lips and roots parfumerie tip is awesome!
good advice! sugar mixed with jojoba oil and honey works nice too as a yummy scrub on lips and i like dr bronner plain lip balm :)
coconut oil too :) x
Olive oil is great too! Being part Greek by origin, olive oil is like medicine for me, ha ha! 😀
Cheers to you and Oscar!
thank you lovely xxx
Seche Vite. The only final top coat I use. Swear by it.
I have to try thanks for sharing xx
Great info , keep it coming 😁
Tap setting spray under your eyes before applying concealer and powder after application of concealer. Will last all day without creasing or moving around. Love your videos.
Great tip thank you for sharing xx
Thank you for the great tips.Love your videos.
Thanks for watching!
Dior lip glow is great for dry lips. It’s a great option and alternative to lipstick.
good to know thank you x
Merci, chère Frédérique 💚👍🤩 I do use BB cream (Babor) and it works very good on my skin.
Love the hack about the crayon to line the lips, when i use my eye lash curler i angle it inwards to the nose so the the lashes on the outer eye flick up and out xx 😍
Thanks for sharing!!
Love your tip of appying the mascara for grey hairs! Thank you Frederique'!🥰
Yes please, I would like to see more beauty hacks xxx
Thank you so much lovely 😘
To make eyebrow pomade last for ages (probably forever) you can add a little dab of moisturiser when it starts to get dry, and mix it in!
The powder on the glasses tip! OMG, I would never have thought of this. I wear little to no makeup, even at 50 (any day now...), but this may be worth buying some translucent powder for. ;)
Eyelash curler and the neutral/nude pencil on the inside of the eye are my 'always do' tips. I also think that MILD teeth whitening is a way to look youthful - but don't go overboard a la Ross on FRIENDS!
Love ❤️ your videos. I learn many many great things! Thank you 😊
Definitely going to be using raw sugar on my lips from now on. ☺️ Thanks so much. 💐

The people who criticize you...are they perfect all the time? We are all human and only angels are perfect, important is to be a good Person and you are 💗💗⚘👍
I love the Vaseline tip for perfume - I will definitely try that!
Yes
@@ms.frederique I tried it today and it made a huge difference! I love jo malone but the English pear and freesia fades so quickly - I have told my mum about this and she is going to try it now
I have very hooded eyes, so my eyelashes must dry quickly in order to avoid a mess. I simply close my eyes halfway after I apply mascara, then gently apply the blow dryer on a cool setting. Lashes are all done!
love it! xxx
Enjoyed your video and picked up many tips. I wish I could contribute a hack but my experience is not up to it. You know so much more than I do. So thank you as I love to learn from you. See you next time! ❤️ Suzy
Thank you Suzy take care x
I love the layers in your hair. The curly bits on the side are very flattering. What do you ask your hair dresser for?
