i few months ago i got an email that i got hacked and shoud change my pasword, i did that and felt safe after a few months tho i got mail from googleads to pay for all the adds that were running from my acc, when i got in there were ads that cost around 80$ for nordvpn hahahah
My brother and I are very aware of phishing scams. The ones shown here would probably fool even us looking pretty legit at a glance. I imagine they still catch many people, even those aware if their attention is divided or fall for the 'immediate attention' part of the snare.

That happened to me the other day, but fortunately I immediately realized and signed all devices out and changed my password I'm trying to sell a computer, and after talking with someone a little bit, they asked me to "prove I was real" by giving them a verification code. Said code was straight up verification for my Google account, and I was distracted gaming so my dumbass just straight up gave it to her
I was once phished from a silly bot sending fake links to Discord users who have "rare" badges like me (or at least I think they were targeting the "rare" discord accounts). They got into my account and changed the email and password. My account has my one debit card linked to it and they even tried purchasing the highest Discord nitro for $99.99 which my card declined. I contacted Discord support to help me out, but they replied DAYS later basically saying they couldn't do anything since I had 2FA enabled and I did not have the backup codes to disable 2FA due to changing computers and resetting my OS and losing files, etc. So, a month goes by and I apparently did enough complaining to Discord throughout that month that I eventually got somebody from their staff team to turn off 2FA for me manually, even though their forums say that they can't do such thing for you if you are hacked (which is so dumb). The day they disabled 2FA for me so that I could reset my password and re-gain access to my account was also the day a new TOS email was sent around from Discord so I wonder if they changed something so that they could help me and others out with the sort of issue I had. Anyways, I got my account back and left the servers and friends the loser who took my account added me to. All good now, but I almost lost everything. Be safe guys, make sure to check what you read and click on/sign in to.
Ye Linus transition to sponsors are really bad lol, i can see 10-15 sec before when he starts setting up his transition for sponsors and i start to fast forward then
That happened to me in one giveaway. The scammer has used the same username obv an sent me a link to claim my prize. Out of curiosity i clicked it but it wanted me to pay like one dollar with my credit card to claim my prize even though in the messege it said it was free. Then i realised that it was a scam. I checked the profile and what a suprise. It had way lower followers. So be carefull out there and think before falling for this type of stuff. Stay safe!
By the way scammers make spelling mistakes on purpose to be able to bypass the automatic-spam-email-filter since it won't be able to differentiate it like a spam email that way
Honestly, doing give aways like this seems the best* and secure way *yeah only the first viewers be lucky but in most cases give aways are sent to the first who do something so yeah
I can see people building systems to scrape the codes every time he uploads a video :( No matter what, people will try to game the rules to get an advantage.
the interesting thing to note about the usps scam, i wanted to see the main site from in which the webpage was being hosted on, but instead of taking me to some website, it took me to a server directory page of some kind, it would show what some of the things on the server was. some were restricted, but what wasn't restricted i was able to download. In my case, one of the files had an api key of some kind, i think it was for a telegram bot. Maybe try to pick apart these sites if it's possible, you might find something interesting.
2:24 someone did try to steal my Roblox information doing the same thing but for a trade in game I had 2 step verification and I realized it was a scam soon enough so I changed my pass before I even got the email saying 2 step verification And that is why you use 2 step verification kids because if you dont realize they just got your information that 2 step verification would save you
I recently was going to be scammed. I had applied for a new credit card and a few weeks after i recieved my card, i get a call from this guy who claims to be a bank guy. Mind ya, the call went from straight 9 AM to 3 PM, him calling me at regular intervals. He took my acc number(and yes i was in college during this whole time, my dad did all this), and a few other details and then asked my dad the CVV number which isnt supposed to be revealed. Dad got sus and made some excuses. Me back from home got to know this. Scared the f out of me. Immediately blocked my card (it wasnt actually even activated, for some reason i didnt want to activate it and thank god i never did it!!). The scammer knew that the card wasnt activated and persuaded my dad to get it activated. Dad was smart enough so again he made some excuses. At 4 PM i got a bunch of activation request links and codes, i was like bwuh stop it XD all this is in vain, really my family was having a good time see him struggle. The scammer also attempted to perform a ~$1000 transaction but guess what? dad recommended me to keep a low balance initially so i only had like $50 in my acc XD.
It was so weird how like the day after I used a usps tracking tool on the official site I get a scam text message saying my usps package has an invalid address with a link to a scam website. I almost fell for it but the timing was just so odd
For the first one, steam sells applications and video games. If you know a bit about steam, you could see its strange. Not insulting you, just talking about other people.
If I suspect a phishing site, I put in fake bs login and pass. If it takes the login, I definitely know it's fake. However, the site can just return a wrong user/pass message. But if you enter the same credentials again, it may record it as valid.
It's sad that i kinda fell for one of these. I was messaged by one on youtube on a comment of mine and he got my adress, name, email (not the password though) and the a photo of my student card. Does anyone know if im in danger and they can do something with these? Any info would be greatly appreciated, many thanks!
Someone tried to get with this on a PS5 giveaway he wanted me to purchase him a gift card and or pay for shipping and handling on a PS5 free giveaway. I told him I would compensate him when the PS5 is on my doorstep and he stopped.
Instead of using a VPN which you need to pay for, just use a free Virtual Machine to install on your PC and then click on as many links as you want, get as many viruses as you want, and if that does happen, then delete the VM and make a new one :)
I always get those at&t paid bill messages. Kind of annoying ngl. I also see alot of the lost package ones some even come through sms. The newegg one is pretty new ive never seen that kind before but its definitely unique. If only they would have spent more time designing the email instead of the website people might fall for it.
I caught someone phishing on my Windows 8 computer by using Windows 10 Lowe's ads (by windows 10, I mean how an email or notification would show on a Windows 10-11 system)
always, always, always check the url of the site youre on before submitting any personal information. a site might look legit but the url will tell the true story

Honestly, if you call yourself very aware and are easily able to fall for scams like this. You’ve clearly never seen a good phishing then.

Should've tried entering incorrect card details. In most cases, those phishing attack sites will accept that without any error or card validation
But it’s better to give the scammers false hope. They will be angrier.

Wow! I’ve literally always wanted to test this since 8 years old! Thank you
Can you try to like glue 16 cpus together into a square and then power them up (no data, just power) and then try to cook something on top?
Omg yes
I checked my playback speed cause I thought it was at least on 1.5x speed. Man! This guy talks fast!
Mryeester: says here are the codes
Me: Go go get my computer
I was sent an SMS phishing scam while watching this video. interesting to see just how quickly my data is sold
I've been wanting to watch a video like this for a while now, where you actually fall for the scam on purpose
Check out Jim Browning
That segway into the sponsor is terrific, I didn't even notice for a second.
Now that gentleman, is how people advertise.
Bro this guy built different he went from doing crazy pc part experiments to imma try to do phishing so you dont have too.
Queue: "default hacker b-roll". Computer guy to computer guy, I'm ashamed of your choice to perpetuate this stigma.
The scammer gotta be pissed off because they can't use the credit card to buy something ahahah
Clearly those scammers don't have NordVPN
Great video! Love to see more long-format content like this!

Which virtual credit card service did you use?
I was too late to get a game code. I hope whoever got it has fun!

The scammers most likely got their products; you just made Steam and Microsoft lose money when the charges are reversed.
It does not work like that
that was the smoothest sponsor segue i have ever seen
Dude this guy is brave enough to give a scammer his fucking credit card
Doesnt even say 'now a word from our sponsor', i didnt even see this until i looked at the description and saw a nordvpn link😂 nice man!
Day 18, asking to use honey in place of thermal paste
bro imagine trying to find a phishing hack and then you cant find one, but when your not trying to look for one you find one
Honestly the smoothest sponsor segment ever
I can't believe nobody has claimed that second code yet!
One time got a message that I have a order on the way and I knew that I didn't buy anything so I just blocked that number.
