- Clicking EVERY Download Button AD? Today I clicked every download button ad and saw if we ended up with a lot of malware

This video alone is one of the strongest arguments in favor of using adblock I've seen in a while.
And yet, TH-cam still hates Adblockers.

speaking of malware, i had a kindle fire a few years ago (tablet with android based OS) and multiple times i got viruses, which would either randomly show pop-ups saying something like "this girl is 10 miles away and wants to date" or the virus would randomly open random websites

Sounds like you downloaded some shady APKs. I wouldn't blame you for sideloading on a fire tablet tho cause the official app store on them is far worse than google play.
Omg I remember having one, and then one day it just shut off and never turned on again… I probably got a virus on it lol
I did a similar thing once on my virtual machine, and I ended up getting some really nasty malware on there. It pretended to be csrss and it somehow *disabled windows defender* and added a bunch of crap exes to autorun. I couldn't even get rid of it with task manager, because it kept coming back. So yeah, never click those ads unless you want some really bad malware on the system. Anyways, good video!

this actually isnt as bad as some other stuff because running malwarebytes or kaspersky would fix it cause they cant be disabled without user permission from the desktop

I remeber downloading a shady program that claimed to allow you to access free movies. It didn't actually let me watch anything, but instead installed other bad programs and browser extensions. I think at some point even had a ransomware show up.

The only thing i have to say is that for the majority of users, winzip or its adjacent programs like WinRAR aren't being used for zip files since, as mentioned, zip files have been natively supported by windows for a good while. What hasnt, are files like 7zip, or rar, or the plethora of other compression types that windows still doesn't fully support natively in their operating system to this day. Why the programs include those features probably has something to do with optimization, since many of them give you options for how your file(s) are compressed, what level of compression relative to data loss is acceptable, etc, whereas windows natively just has their baseline algorithm which does fine in most contexts, but can be lethal to someone like a dev or producer or artist where all the data is relevant and cant be left out/corrupted for the sake of compression.

I never use VM I wanted to ask if it's paid and hard to use. (i expect it will be paid just asking)
VMWare workstation is proprietary and paid, you can use virtualbox which is free. If you are running untrusted code in a VM, you should make sure you have disabled any guest sharing features to ensure the malware doesn't escape.
@@EricParker there are 2 versions of vmware the first one is vmware workstation player which is free and the second one is vmware workstation pro which is paid but has a 30 day free trial
When i was young i was unaware of these viruses and i stupidly clicked on them many times. What could possibly go wrong?

you were just an idiot. ive always been aware that the website thinks im an idiot. i actually dont press any download button because i am also an idiot and i am terrified of pressing the wrong one
I was really dumb when I was 9. I would fall for a bunch of minecraft "shaders" "mods" stuff like that. It never worked out and it always went to very sketchy places. And I learned my lesson from that, and I stopped downloading that stuff from 10 years old onward. And started to grow more Common sense the older I got afterwards...
I also fell for shady "jailbreak" and "tweakbox" stuff during that time. It was on my iPad, I don't know what it did but it was probably Malicious in some way. And when tried to get a lot of a specific item in a videogame, I fell for the stupid human verification stuff and it didn't do anything.
There are so many things I fell for, including stupid ads and many more. Now I don't do that anymore.

I use VMWare Workstation Pro 17 and would 100% recommend it to all people who use VMs for Scam Baiting or even just testing viruses like Eric here.
VMWare is good, Windows Sandbox mode is also ok.

What do you do with your internet when downloading these "fake" download button's because some malware can spread through internet. and I don't want to take a chance of it spreading to my gaming pc (that is pretty expensive and it would suck to have to replace my computer) so what do i do?
Nothing. Rarely I use a VPN, usually I'm not too concerned, IP address is not a useful attack vector.
The VM is NAT'ed so it can't reach the hosts network directly.

I did the same thing and am now playing Minecraft and Roblox on the same monitor while talking to my lustful hot milf girlfriend who was conveniently waiting only a 10 minute drive from my house

have in mind that some software has a detection script to detect if you are running in a vm and can make so the software wont run or run in a different way
