For years I thought James and the Giant Peach was just some crazy fever dream I had as a small child. It was only relatively recently that I found out that it is an actual movie X'D
Mathew Haswell I love Tim Burton but James and the Giant Peach wasn't creepy enough and that somehow made it creepier. I love dark and messed up kids movie and Burton and Don Bluth films are my life line but Peach is the Burton equivalent of A Troll In Central Park. Both were cheesey and creepy at the same time.
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory mixed humor and Burton's creepiness a fair bit better, IMO. Portraying Wonka as being visibly unhinged and detached from reality - as a long-time shut-in with only glorified slaves for company would likely be in real life - works as a darker/"realistic" take on him, IMO.
After closing the video, I immediatly went to watch Mary and Max. I had never heard about it, like...almost every other Australian movies, anyway I loved it. I'm aspie too and I appreciated this rapresentation of the own feelings of an aspie person about him/herself, that doesn't have to feel defective just for being different.
I agree. if I find the Movie Mary and Max I would immediately watch it because I'm an aspie myself and I think that it the movie discusses AD pretty well
花陽気な Isle of Dogs is really good! I really wish that we could have a new stop motion movie by Tim Burton but I’m not sure how it can capture the same magic as The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I personally dislike Isle Of Dogs, even though I love dogs. The plot was weird, the animation would get muddled with words so it wasn’t even great seeing the visuals , and again, the story was unusual, not in a way I personally like, but I do respect your opinion. I also think Kubo should have been on
I personally LOVE Wallace and Gromit! From the original shorts, to the Cracking Contraptions, to the Curse of the Were-Rabbit they all are so beautifully animated and so much fun to watch! I also think Chicken Run deserved an honorable mention. But I respect your opinion! I'd love to see you do a top 10 best and worst episodes of Danny Phantom, too, if you get a chance!
I admitted that I grew up with W&G movie (Curse Of The Were-Rabbit) but I have'nt grew up with the shorts. That's why I need to watch some shorts like Close Shave (where my childhood Shaun The Sheep made his first appearance) and Wrong Trousers (that penguin though).
Claymation is always fascinating being so unique and creative I love The Nightmare Before Christmas Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Isle Of Dogs, Wallace And Gromit And Many Other good claymations For my Future Top 10 for you can you have some more anime lists (I’d love to see Robin again) As well Best Canadian Cartoon And Top 10 Disney Sitcoms it’ll be fun videos for you to do and us viewers to see I hope you have a nice day Josh!^-^
Animation-wise, Isle of Dogs has largely the same style as the Fantastic Mr Fox movie. Both films were written produced and directed by the same person - Wes Anderson.
Fun fact: In Roald Dahl's original book of James and the Giant Peach, the reason his parents got killed was because James and his parents went to London to do some shopping and a rhinoceros had escaped from the nearby London Zoo and ate them on a crowded street. This shows how the writers of the movie didn't read the book properly.
Yeah but the Rhino had no bearing in the rest of the story like if there was no villain. Also, in the book, the Rhino LITERALLY ate his parents despite them being vegetarian. It just shows how little research the author did on them. Many fans even like to believe the aunts made the movie's depiction to scare and further manipulate James because he's simply a kid. I actually liked what they did with the Rhino BETTER than the book because they actually made it to a psychological fear for James that he has to conquer in order to stand up to his aunts. The changes in the movie IMO worked better. Like instead of weird cloud people, it's badass Jack Skellington pirates. Even the author's aunt fell in love with the movie's changes and felt it would be a movie her husband would've loved. So there's that.
@@brandonspain12345It would have made more sense if the rhinoceros trampled them to death or impaled them with it's horn or a leopard escaped and ate them instead.
I think my favorite is Coraline. I just really enjoy the story and ideas in that movie, though I agree the Nightmare before Christmas is probably technically the best if only because it is so much more memorable and more timeless. It was also the first movie that really wowed me with stop motion and dynamic camera shots. I used to to hate it seeing the super static shots in Rudolph movies(unpopular opinion I know, but I personally don’t like it, though I’m sure much hard work went into it). I love stop motion now. I think some other honorable mentions should be corpse bride for some stunning visuals and paranorman for the 2nd half and ending.
God, the visuals in Coraline deserve all the praise they get. Otherworld is so creepy, yet beautiful. ParaNorman is definitely worth the watch, too, but be warned... The climax of the movie is heartbreaking.
My top 3 best stop motion movies 3: corpse bride idk why but I just like it it’s really good and fun 2: nightmare before Christmas its a really fun movie what talks about two different cool holidays 1: Coraline it’s a beautiful pasted awesome movie my only concern is I’m scared In Case I watch to much that I don’t like the movie any more so that’s all for now
Claymation is hard, painfully long to do, and requires a lot of patience. But there is one animation style that takes all those attributes to a whole new level. Only one movie that I know of was done like this. Look up the movie "loving Vincent". It's insane how much effort went into it.
Nightmare Before Christmas has the luxury of being a double holiday season movie. Here in the USA it's shown around both Halloween and Christmas. I think you overlooked Kubo and the two strings for a good stop motion though. Also could I request that you do a list of the top 10 Animated Cult Classics? And also top 10 Worst Animated Cult Classics? If you already have a similar list could you please put a link. I have joint damage and it's hard to search.
Your just one of the nicest people in TH-cam I only feel this kindness and passion with you and slice of otaku this appreciation for there viewers it makes me so happy
I was terrified of James and the Giant Peach as a kid. It’s weird to hear this description of it. Even little kid me didn’t trust anything on screen (which tragically kept my life devoid of stop motion for years after).
What about Corpse Bride??? Or does not a lot of people know about it????? (Also I agree why you like/dislike most of them. I like to see your intriguing opinions, for most of them is tasteful.)
@@dogboyconnor YOU SHOULD!!! It's a fantastic movie with a really great plot and nice characters. It's called Corpse Bride and it is an absolutely beautiful movie!!! I really recommend you watch it. :>
Great video. Just a quick question. Have you ever seen Kubo and the Two Strings? I would love to know what you think of all of the Laika Studio movies (Coraline, Paranorman, Box Trolls, and Kubo). I love Laika studios as I think they make some of the most original and beautiful movies nowadays. I hope they can make more.
Ah hey Robyn :) ah Kubo :D to be honest it definitely would've got a mention but I mistakenly thought it was CG >.< I loved the more dreamy atmosphere of Kubo and that fantasy element throughout it, while also feeling a hair more brutal. Only thing I'd say is I didn't follow the story too well. I really hope to see more from Laika studios too.
My favorites 1. Corpse Bride because it's just so beautifully well done :P 2. Nightmare before Christmas because we all love a Halloween movie 3. Coraline because I love creepy movies lol
I'm not a fan of the wallace and gromit animation style they used in chicken run, but I probably should've given it an honourable mention alongside wallace and gromit in retrospect. It really stood out in the claymation field at the time.
I know that Coraline got an honorable mention but I feel like Kubo should have also gotten an honorable mention. Yeah, the story is predictable, I was able to figure it out pretty early on when I saw it in the theater at least but it's still a good story with some great visuals. Personally, I feel like it's the best thing to come from Laika, I might be a tad bias on my feelings towards Laika because I do live in Beaverton & actually do have some connections, mostly have friends of friends but still, hard to not know someone, even if they are an acquaintance, that works for Laika if you live in Beaverton. A friend of mine even got a tour of the studio because she's an artist & was looking for work, she's the friend of the friend I mentioned earlier, since her & her family knows people there, they got to hook her up with the tour & she knew about the Box Trolls before much was released to the public. She wasn't allowed to share much but she told me what she could on it & I relayed that information to a friend of mine who's studying to become an animator, he holds claymation in high regards & was excited to hear about it since he is such a Laika fanboy, he even moved closer to where their studio is. I guess Kubo & the Two Strings is just one of my personal favorites & doesn't line up with the mass majority of which is all cool, I was kinda hoping on it getting an honorable mention but oh well.
For the record I think Kubo deserves more than an honourable mention and your opinion is closer to the mass majority than you might think, Kubo is literally laika's best reviewed movie critically but the unfortunate thing is that it failed commercially. It's a beautiful movie in the most literal sense of the word and I honest to god can't say I've seen any finer and fluent stop motion animation to date. Travis Knight the director of this movie really needs to be given more credit, he was Laika's lead animator for a bunch of their previous films and even contributed to Kubo's animation whilst simultaneously directing the movie. Hell now he's actually became the CEO of Laika. The upcoming Bumblebee movie is going to be his live action directorial debut and whilst people have every right to be skeptical considering how much of a garbage heap the transformers movies are, knowing Knight's previous track records and what he's said in interviews about his vision for the movie I have genuine hope that it'll be great. I respect Phantom's opinions and what not but I honestly cannot lie, I was super disappointed that Kubo was nowhere to be found in this video.
Marlene Martinez Kubo and the two strings is my personal favorite stop motion film. I liked it better than Isle of Dogs as far as the Japanese theme goes. Isle of Dogs is too furry but I think it was good enough to swap out Mr. Fox for it instead. @PhantomStrider when you said that it was not only lwatching a Fox and a Badger but felt like watching two middle aged men my first thought was: a thus a furry fan is born.
Honestly I really liked James and The Giant Peach because as I got older I realized it's more than just a whimsical interesting animation. In my mind at least it's a story on a boy who's running away from an abusive and/or neglectful household. The animated parts {Both stop motion and not} are the child's imagination and a way to keep him from falling apart mentally and emotionally as he runs from the only thing he knows. On a different note, one of my actual favorite Stop Motion movies is Kubo and The Two Strings. I already knew the original story decently well and was glad it followed what I remembered from reading the original years before the movie came out. It has little details you really only see in Laika films and Nightmare Before Christmas. Also, as an added bonus with Kubo, it won a world record.
I like James and the Giant peach, But I know that it's a bit clunky at times. But I watch it cause of the Claymation characters. I love their unique designs.
Ahhhhhh I Wake Up And I'm Greeted By Probably The Friendliest TH-camr Ever It's Always Nice To Hear PhantomStrider's Insightful And Well Thought Of Opinions
I'm an Aspie too and I'm about to graduate University with a Bachelors in IT Networking to add to my Associate of Arts. I'm socially awkward and have anxiety at times but I manage myself and don't like to be considered "disabled or mentally ill" cause there's nothing wrong with me.
@Conner Fields We all deal with it differently, so we all get different outcomes. Important thing is to be comfortable with yourself - though that can be the biggest challenge.
Stop motion has been around since the early days of film but claymation has been around for less time, something around the time you stated. Just wanted to clear that up since I have a bit of a soft spot for both forms of animation (thanks in large part to "Wallace and Gromit" when I was growing up).
Side note, Tim Burton didn't direct Nightmare before Christmas. Henry Selick (director of James and the Giant Peach and Coraline) deserves that honor. Burton was merely producing it and writing parts of the plot.
When I think of Claymation/Stopmotion I personally think of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" since it's so popular. But my fav Claymation/Stopmotion films are "The Coprse Bride", "Coraline", "Wallace and Gromit", I love em. Oh! And uh. That one kid who can see ghosts movie. I forgot what it's called.
I wholeheartedly agree with your list on this topic. Also I had absolutely no idea you had Aspergers, Strider. That's a interesting fact to know of one of my favorite TH-camrs. I never would judge it as a negative or a problem, though. I have been diagnosed with two mental disabilities myself, so I can more or less understand. Mary and Max is absolute favorite of mine because I feel that it's a movie that truly understands disabled people in general. While the world would tell us we're different and some would choose to believe that curing disabilities is doing us a favor, most of us don't want to change and would rather celebrate it as traits that shaped us as people.
If the list were anything related to stop-motion, then my favorite stop-motion film would be Into the Spiderverse. In fact, it's my favorite movie period. I could honestly go on for hours about how beautiful it was. But since the list is only true claymation, then my favorite would be Coraline. I personally hate scary movies and stories, but this one is amazing! It's a very memorable film :)
Mary and Max is one of my alltime favourite movies; probably because I have Aspergers myself too. And the movie respects the 'disability' so well that I can only recommend this movie to anyone who has never seen it before! It's a good start to understand aspies and it's just over all a very beautiful movie. And dear god, I LOVE stopmotion movies so much! I can only recommend ANY of the three best movies. But especially Mary and Max, it tells such an important message ❤
I believe Mary and Max was on my Netflix queue for quite awhile (it may still be), but I have to ask, without spoilers-- is it depressing? That's part of why I put off seeing it, as I have to be in a certain mindset to watch heavy drama things.
@@Schornforce Well, it does have some kinda dark and depressing moments, so if you don't like that, maybe you shouldn't watch it? Or watch it with someone who has already seen it so they can warn you idk
Maybe James and the Giant Peach might have been a little better if it was either live-action or animated instead of a mixture of live-action and stop-motion animation. It wouldn't help the writing or singing, but it might have made it more tolerable.
I dunno, I find it kind of funny how the film points out when James becomes stop-motion and plays it completely straight. (Say what you will about The Page Master, but it at least made sense in that film. Here, it's basically a stylistic choice)
"I do not feel disabled, defective, or in need to be cured. I like being an aspy. Taking it away would be like changing the color of my eyes." What max says about Asperger Syndrome is how I feel about Epilepsy.
Christy Loves Sloths when I watched Frankweenie I was scared to death, I watched it when I was like three... I also felt bad for the dog, but I didn’t know what was going on, and don’t get me started on how scared I was when watching Coraline
I grew up on ghibli and claymation Wallace and gromit was a big part of my childhood I love claymation and have seen the majority of the ones that have come out. It’s an awe inspiring sight to see clay move as if it were truly alive it astounds me every time.
FrankenWeenie and Coraline were my childhood favorites. I think just the claymation style and horror theme fit together so well. They both had stories I loved and I was intrigued for the whole movie. I wish more movies like that were made
Paranorman, Kubo and the Two Strings, Flushed Away and Chicken Run should totally be on this list!!! Then again, long live claymation!!!! In fact, I could make my own claymation movie South Polar Heroes!!!!
Sheldon is actually my favorite character in The Big Bang Theory. Also it’s so cool to know you’re an Aspie like me! Also I kind of liked Hell and Back. It’s an ok film.
I really don't know why he mentioned Sheldon during that discussion. The show writers have stated in an interview that they don't intend for Sheldon to be on the autism spectrum. Rather, he's just socially awkward and a bit detached from reality on occasion. They then went on to say that Sheldon can be interpreted however the viewer wants. But I agree, Sheldon is best character. Even if he's one lab accident away from becoming a supervillain.
I liked Hell and Back because I was just in the mood for some funny crude humor and an uninvolved plot that night. If I went in actually wanting to empathize with characters that night, my opinion would be very different.
I remember watching Mary and Max when I was around 8 years old and crying *so* hard. The movie was magnificent but to this day, I cannot watch this movie because it just puts me in one of those 'black and white' moods. Though I'm sure that was the effect it was supposed to have, it just makes life seem so sad and unbearably real.
Abed's a much better example of a good representation of asperger's. He's not inherently selfish and callous like Sheldon. He still feels but struggles to express emotions. And if there's one thing I know for certain, it's that aspies still feel. Alot.
I didn't know Sheldon had asperger's ..He always says his mother had him tested.. Anyways I had a friend who was fairly similar to Sheldon except he wasn't a genius.. ;-;
I wish Paranorman had been on the list, at least as an honorable mention. It may not have been as imaginative or explored the mind too extensively, but it did touch beautifully on fear, bullying, and being different. I absolutely love its twist on zombies and how it portrayed the 'witch' as how people once saw 'witches', the injustice the accused faced, and how people love to blow up a good scary story while ignoring the weight of the truth. Norman himself was portrayed as the 'different kid' who had trouble fitting in and faced terrible bullying, something that many people can relate to easily.
The Corpse Bride is another amazing stop motion animated movie, and is one of my sisters favorites(along with Coraline and The Nightmare Before Christmas). The world of stop motion is such a wonderful place, but really does depend on good acting and a good plot(which Tim Burton has a good job at making), and I honestly think stop motion is one of the most amazing under rated animation styles.
My top 3: 3. Corpse Bride (The story and characters are very well done. It's gorgeous and the ending is unexpected, and it does a great job with a near gray color pallet with spot color.) 2. Nightmare before Christmas (Need I explain?) 3. Fantastic Mr. Fox (I just always loved it. It's color is brilliant, with showing the farmers going from light to dark slowly, the claymation is spooky but it fits well!)
Oh! I know it's not a movie, but I think Moral Orel deserves a mention. That show was great too and it's neat to see Orel working on his own stop motion shorts at the end of each episode.
At first, I didn't care for it. I just assumed it was a Davey and Goliath spoof thing and the few episodes I did see just seemed to be anti-religion and general mean-spiritedness. BUT, after watching more of it, I liked how they explored religion and how it doesn't condemn it, but points out the hypocritical aspects and fallacies. I also absolutely *LOVE* the last episode. I'm glad I didn't go with my early snap judgement on it and got to enjoy what I did of it.
Lol funny about the rhino thing from James and the Giant Peach. Rhinos are herbivores..😂 I remember reading that part from the book, and I was all types of confused. Now that I'm hearing this out loud form the movie, it's so dumb. 😂
I LOVE "Nightmare Before Christmas", because it's so amazing, the way the characters look beautiful and the movie's intro, oh that song that once you hear it, it'll never leave your head, you watch the movie and it makes you want to sing along to the intro of that beautiful movie! XD and plus that movie is in the month of my birthday!
I just watches Mary and Max and I thought it was absolutely beautiful ❤ I brings together a lot of ideas how people have different beliefs in the world around us, and questions that make us think deeply ❤ I think how the film has a great way of how people with aspergers syndrome think differently in the environment around them, and how two different points of view come together.
I haven't had the opportunity to see Mary and Max yet, but it sounds really good. I've been searching for a movie with a message like that, that being an aspie is just the way you are, and kind of felt a little bit hurt by Atypical's depiction. But it's comforting to know that other people out there feel similarly about it.
Max is quite heavily on the spectrum but what's important is that he doesn't see who he is as a disorder, just as we don't. And I would prefer if society didn't see it as a "disorder" as well. Cheers for the lovely comment mediafox
I just rented it on TH-cam, and its great. I would tell you exactly how great it is, but, I dont want to ruin the movie for you. Its dark, but has a strong message of friendship.
I think kubo and the two strings was great I think it should have been an honorable mention at least. But nightmare before Christmas is definitely one of my favorite movies in general.
@@melissacooper4482 i disagree. the book is pretty good, don't get me wrong, yet I felt like it was somewhat lacking in additional substance and was more random than the movie. the movie rhino you can argue is the manifestation of james' fears coming together as a destructive storm and the book just has a regular herbivore zoo rhino physically eat the parents. the aunts get axed off as soon as the characters leave the house when the movie gives them a conclusive arc for james to overcome. also many argue "the movie wasn't as dark as the book" when the book was only dark in a handful of places just like the movie. roald dahls family approved of the movie even. i guess people are just mad at it because they think tim burton made a cute movie when it was really henry selick who said burton wouldn't make a movie that cute.
Apart from James and the Giant Peach, which I personally like (but don't love), I'd say you nailed it once again, Strider! Also, as a maybe-Aspie myself (I've been diagnosed and re-diagnosed so much I can't remember what's what now), I totally agree with your commentary. We are who we are, and I like who I am. My list for best 1) Corpse bride 2)Nightmare before Christmas 3) Coraline 4) (Ik there is no 4 but whatever) Frankeweenie (that’s how you spell it right?)
"Hell and Back isn't just the worst Claymation movie, it falls into the category of some of the worst animated movies ever." Translation: this movie belongs in the Extra-Special Category of *_ROTTEN!_*
You are wrong since not every movie Tim Burton makes is amazing. A few examples: 1. Mars Attacks. 2. Dark Shadows. 3. Alice in Wonderland (2010). 4. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. 5. Dumbo.
For me, my favourite stop-motion animated movie is Kubo And The Two Strings. It's made by the same guys as Coraline and ParaNorman. I won't say anything about it, I just recommend you go check it out.
Nightmear Before Christmas is special to me because it was the second movie I've seen with my GF (Spaceballs was the first) and the first holiday movie I watched with a romantic partner. I remember sitting on her lap and eating junk on the couch as we watched this beautiful piece of art together. Although that event wasn't even six months old, it still has a special place in my heart. I'm sorry if this is irrelevant, I'm just sharing a wholesome story for you poggers people. Stay safe out there!
As someone with Autism, I agree with you on Mary and Max. I don't feel disordered or disabled. I'm fine with my life.

花陽気な Isle of Dogs is really good! I really wish that we could have a new stop motion movie by Tim Burton but I’m not sure how it can capture the same magic as The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Isle of Dogs is great with a great and different style.

If you love fantastic Mr. Fox, then you will LOVE Isle of Dogs. It is also made from Wes Anderson! EDIT: ERMAHGERD SO MANY LIKES! THANKS MY PEEPS!

isle of dogs is amazing
Corpse Bride is stop motion?????

Claymation is hard, painfully long to do, and requires a lot of patience. But there is one animation style that takes all those attributes to a whole new level. Only one movie that I know of was done like this. Look up the movie "loving Vincent". It's insane how much effort went into it.
Isn't that the movie that was animated with like 13 000 Vincent van Gogh-esque paintings?

Great video. Just a quick question. Have you ever seen Kubo and the Two Strings? I would love to know what you think of all of the Laika Studio movies (Coraline, Paranorman, Box Trolls, and Kubo). Ah hey Robyn :) ah Kubo :D to be honest it definitely would've got a mention but I mistakenly thought it was CG >.< I loved the more dreamy atmosphere of Kubo and that fantasy element throughout it, while also feeling a hair more brutal. *When Chicken Run isn't on the list...*
Stinkyink tbh, I actually thought it was kind of boring
Chicken run was a claymation
Eh It Was Ok But Not Anything Amazing In My Opinion.
Stinkyink Maybe one Aardman movie allowed...
Kubo deserved the oscar
Marlene Martinez Kubo and the two strings is my personal favorite stop motion film. I liked it better than Isle of Dogs as far as the Japanese theme goes. Isle of Dogs is too furry but I think it was good enough to swap out Mr. Fox for it instead. @PhantomStrider when you said that it was not only lwatching a Fox and a Badger but felt like watching two middle aged men my first thought was: a thus a furry fan is born.
He apparently thought that was CGI
Amen. I thought I would see Kubo on this list.
Try being whimsical on the toilet, Doug did it and was deemed insane.😂

To me, I consider 'Chicken Run' and Tim Burton's films ('The Nightmare Before Christmas, 'Corpse Bride', etc.) are the best Claymotion films.
Side note, Tim Burton didn't direct Nightmare before Christmas. Henry Selick (director of James and the Giant Peach and Coraline) deserves that honor.
Burton was merely producing it and writing parts of the plot.

I'm also on the autism spectrum.
Ditto
As an Aspie, I have no problem with Sheldon. I actually started using his humor a bit. Atypical should stay in the trash can, though.
Aw I love James and the Giant Peach! Its cute and imaginative.
The nostalgia from just The nightmare before Christmas alone almost brought me to tears! Honestly,I consider it the best movie ever!
I'm also on the autism spectrum and i think characters like Sheldon from the big bang theory is way too over exaggerated and it's kinda insulting.
Abed's a much better example of a good representation of asperger's. He's not inherently selfish and callous like Sheldon. He still feels but struggles to express emotions. And if there's one thing I know for certain, it's that aspies still feel. Alot.

My top 3:
3. Corpse Bride
(The story and characters are very well done. It's gorgeous and the ending is unexpected, and it does a great job with a near gray color pallet with spot color.)
2. Nightmare before Christmas
(Need I explain?)
3. Fantastic Mr. Fox
(I just always loved it. It's color is brilliant, with showing the farmers going from light to dark slowly, the claymation is spooky but it fits well!)
The Nightmare Before Christmas, is definitely a masterpiece of claymation
Oh! I know it's not a movie, but I think Moral Orel deserves a mention. That show was great too and it's neat to see Orel working on his own stop motion shorts at the end of each episode.
I really loved Moral Orel. All the episodes are on TH-cam and that's how I watched it and found it actually. The music in is really good as well.

For my family, it’s always been a tradition to watch this on the Eve of Halloween and Halloween before we go trick or treating.
Jacob Foster Maybe it's because he only wanted to focus on one Laika movie...
Coraline should have been at least a honerable mention if not on the top 3 list
B-but it was...
"Second worst Claymation movie is James and the Giant Peach"
*EXCUSE ME WHAT*
i grew up watching the james and giant peach movie, and personally i loved it. the way the peach looks always looked so good to eat
Have you ever read the book? I read it at least twice and loved it! If you haven't read it I advise you to do so. It's much better then the movie.
Keep up the awesome vids, mate!
I love Claymation. I wish it would be used more often.
Same
It's just a bit too hard for people to make. If you ever tried working on it you'll understand
@@masknzgamer Yeah, but so long as people are willing to make it, I'm willing to see it.
Already looking forward to the next Laika film next year.
To be honest I have but I just feel like its also unappreciated these days too
My list for best
1) Corpse bride
2)Nightmare before Christmas
3) Coraline
4) (Ik there is no 4 but whatever) Frankeweenie (that’s how you spell it right?)
My favorite claymation movie is "isle of dogs"
For me, it's a pretty good movie
Carl Heffner I personally dislike it
@@charizard_awesomepoco234 me too
I used to watch The Corpse Bride religiously when I was little
"Hell and Back isn't just the worst Claymation movie, it falls into the category of some of the worst animated movies ever."
Translation: this movie belongs in the Extra-Special Category of *_ROTTEN!_*
I would've punched myself in the face if nightmare before Christmas was not on the best list good job strider!
Let’s just all agree that every tim burton movie is amazing
You are wrong since not every movie Tim Burton makes is amazing. A few examples: 1. Mars Attacks. 2. Dark Shadows. 3. Alice in Wonderland (2010). 4. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. 5. Dumbo.
@@steventhilo3438you have mars attacks as a bad movie so your opinion is completely useless
I love both the Alice in Wonderland films, but I’m kinda biased on a specific actor in it.
For me, my favourite stop-motion animated movie is Kubo And The Two Strings. It's made by the same guys as Coraline and ParaNorman. I won't say anything about it, I just recommend you go check it out.
I wish Laika would have more content. Each of their movies (except maaaaybe Boxtrolls) was insightful, imaginative and entertaining.
@@reasyrandom I think I just discovered that Laika made Moonwalker
oooh so *that's* what Gravity Falls was parodying at the end of the Clay short! Gumby :v
I still can’t debate whether nightmare before Christmas is a Halloween or a Christmas movie???
I'm sure Disney is happy for it to be both lol XD
PhantomStrider what do you think it is?
gengar plays 112 I think it’s both
It’s a November movie so it’s between Halloween and Christmas.
Q: Is Nightmare before Christmas a Halloween or Christmas film?
A: Yes
Nightmear Before Christmas is special to me because it was the second movie I've seen with my GF (Spaceballs was the first) and the first holiday movie I watched with a romantic partner. I remember sitting on her lap and eating junk on the couch as we watched this beautiful piece of art together. Although that event wasn't even six months old, it still has a special place in my heart. I'm sorry if this is irrelevant, I'm just sharing a wholesome story for you poggers people. Stay safe out there!
