Just a little side thing, they have the key lime pie at California Adventure at Disneyland now, but it looks more like a duller green instead of the kinda fluorescent green here.
12:10 yeaaaah the fear of having the actual means to look at what your life could have been or even should have been and comparing your current life(especially if it's not what you would have wanted for yourself) to that can definitely be bad to your mental health if what could have been was 10 to 20 times better than your current present. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss and im glad they touched on this potential dilemma for the people of the TVA.
Sylvie having HWR's TemPad does not give her the power to reset Everything. Even HWR had to create the TVA to keep track of all of time and thecresulting branches. Having said that, it's heavily implied that this TemPad will be important to the Story, just as Sylvie is not out of the story yet.
Möbius' rational could also be: "I'm here, so the me on the sacred timeline can have a life." 80's French fries are amazing and very not Vegan but so very tasty, I remember them from my childhood and the memories with my parents. So far I'm enjoying the series this season, they are bringing the A game.
Thw whole opener to this episode had me sitting there and just thinking "god, Loki is so attractive" on loop. Just him walking. Running. Doing his shadow thing. Phew. Hiddleston definitely knows how to play Loki!
If you want to speculate what the movie was about, I looked it up as soon as it was over, and sure enough "Zaniac" is a Marvel reference... It was an entity from Dormammu's Dark Dimension that possessed people (apparently responsible for the man who became Jack the Ripper), and in the present day possessed an actor named Brad Wolfe. It was from a Thor story that had the Zaniac killing Jane Foster and Thor working with a TVA agent to hunt down the Zaniac through time and stop it from ever happening.
Something I just noticed! Loki has seemingly given up his daggers, perhaps taking note of Classic Loki's advice: "...blades are worthless in the face of a Loki sorcery, they stunt our magical potential." And his magic seemed much more potent this time around. At the least, what little we get of it.
In attempting to get under Loki's skin, Brad got into his own head, and once he remembered that even as a "loser" Loki has killed countless people, it did not take much for Loki to convince him that he would be just one more in a long list of homicides.
I can’t believe it took me so long to recognize Rafael Casal as X-5. He was so good in Blindspotting with best bud, Daveed Diggs. He’s also a surprisingly good rapper.
Tbh Owen Wilson really had me fooled. I did expect them to do that but he really made it seem like Loki told him one plan then decided to do something different and I was like wait did Loki actually Loki mobius?
We're building a team!! Mobius and Loki (and Sylvie) as the main "Agents", B-15 heading the new TimeCops with D-90 as a 2nd, and OB and Casey as the tech guys. I LOVE THIS CAST! I'll call them...."TIME-X" lol
I enjoyed your reaction to this episode I just saw it a few minutes ago and my favorite part of your reactions when Loki did the square torture and fan boying OB's book and seeing Sylvie Back in her uniform and Tom Hiddleston wearing a very nice suit !!! All those time lines and people really sad I just hope the present is still OK And I love McDonald's I always eat it every once a week cause it's close to my house🏡🍔🍔🍟🫓🥤
Sylvie has "He''s" pad, which i suspect allows her access to Miss Minutes, whatever that gets her. I think she planned not to use it, so the inevitable variances could run free. But, remember Kang's last line, "See ya soon." In the TVA time is a line. In Kang's castle it was a circle. Time is turning in on itself. Kang is swinging back around.
We talk about spoken lines and costume looks but a large part of screen storytelling is character reactions. And Tom Hiddleston’s reaction in the automat, to Mobius saying “I mean, you’re the god of mischief, right?” is the kind of quality acting which sets certain actors apart. He plays it as Loki being proud to be called that, touched that Mobius would call him that, and appreciative of their relationship all in one smile and head tilt. Such a split second of deep and binding adoration for the man in front of him, and their entire journey to bring them to this moment of friendship. There are set pieces, eloquent soliloquies, action scenes, and all that pizzazz. But those little reaction shots are the mortar between bricks and they do as much character building as anything else.
Dox did tell X5 to go look for Sylvie, and he obviously found her because he knew where she was. It seems implicit that she helped him make whatever modifications were made to his temppad, so she possibly got in his head about not going back to the TVA. I think she's playing a bigger game than we've been allowed to see or understand yet, and I think that X5 is in on it. I might be overthinking it, but it just makes a lot of sense at this point. What do you think?
What I keep coming back to is that X5 likely pruned the Brad Wolfe on the Sacred Timeline and took that life, otherwise he would've created another branch. The other thing is - they are all variants. Seeing a version of yourself on the sacred timeline doesn't mean that was their life - each and every one made decisions that pulled them away from that life enough that it was a nexus event.
Sylvie needs to enchant OB to unlock everything he knows. Like, if he knows the ins and outs of TVA technology, then he should know something about the Kang variant that put it all together.
Moebius is torn about his other life. For better or worse, he has been gifted/beset by a life of purpose. He'll never abandon that responsibility, so it would be agony to go see what he can never inhabit. BUT, IF somehow, he could be sure that the multiverse was safe, and could carry on safely without him, he'd go back and revel in it for all his days no matter how awful, or how brief.
This is my prediction: the person that Moebius used to be is exactly like he is now, and he was a lonely workaholic bureaucrat analyst for some big corporation in the mid-20th century, and that's why the TVA has everyone dressed in 20th-century outfits and why all the furniture and all the cafeterias and everything are themed for the mid-20th century. Maybe Mobius was the first guy that He-Who-Remains pruned, and the TVA is meant to make Mobius feel normal and comfortable.
I think He Who Remains' tempad is super powerful, but he also had Miss Minutes. I think the power lies in the combination of both. O.B. said he never had to manage the tempural loom because Miss Minutes took care of it. Where is Miss Minutes?
That's interesting that you think it's OB that prone him because I thought it was that general's that old general lady I thought that was her little lover that pruned him

I want to know if resetting a branched timeline works the same as pruning an individual. Because that would mean that each time you do it, an entire universe worth of stuff is dumped into the End Of Time - and it didn't look big enough for that. :P
Not to put too fine a point on it, that's not a cafeteria. It's an "automat." All the food selections are pre made and sitting behind little doors. Some were coin operated, some had one "lobby" employee who worked the register. They never really caught on and only existed in major cities. In the end credits they depict a vending machine for coffee and hot chocolate, and, farthest clockwise, hot soup. I remember machines like this. It was watery chicken noodle soup. It was really terrible.
I remember those vending machines! There was at least one (but I believe more) behind the scenes at Canada’s Wonderland when I worked there in the late 80’s. The entire selection of liquids was a toss-up on every pour. You’d have to take a sip to find out. …but during the “Hell Weeks” (when the park was open in late Spring, pre-Summer), if the soup, coffee, or chocolate was hot, then the machine was a godsend!
How can Tom Hiddleston manage to look boyish and innocent, pathetic *AND* badass and dominating?! 🤯 My least favourite version of Loki is the ‘pathetic’ and ‘submissive’ Loki we had in season 1 but I’m liking that he’s more mature now. Not to mention how *HOT!* Yes, he was pretty in season 1 but he got fooled around and picked on too much. He looks like and acts like a *MAN* now! 🥵🔥
I wish this wasn't limited to 6 episodes a season. I loved a lot of the scenes here, especially Tom Hiddleston in the interrogation room. But so much is unexplained with the Brad being a movie star stuff. (I'm still not clear on how Brad was able to rejoin his life on the original timeline. If he is a variant--presumably he made some choice that wasn't "approved" of, and he was taken to the TVA. That means his other self is STILL living their lives on the original timeline. So, uh, what did he do with the other Brad so he could take his place?) As a viewer, it feels like we missed an episode or two, and only the knowledge that this is, indeed, episode 2 of 6 keeps us from wondering if we skipped something.
@@WastedPo he was taken from his life on the timeline by the TVA. That timeline is pruned. The life he has now, he just traveled to a timeline and started from scratch there, as an adult. He didn't have to take his old life from another one of his variants. All those papers can be forged. Especially because they probably do it all the time at the TVA if they need to go undercover.
Thank you for sharing your reaction. Your insight is always a delight and your passion for the characters, in many of the shows you react to, is powerful and honest. You have a way of pointing out the uniqueness in characters such as Zuko in ATLA and Brad here. Your reactions are a treat and I always look forward to them. Yep you are tottaly right loki from the future prun himslelf. that was the only way to get back to the tva he already knows whats gonna happen. this theory is getting a lot of fans and New Rockstars are right on this theory too.
Actually according to Kevin Feige this is all Sylvie's fault for killing He Who Remains Kang O B must've read the Secret Wars comic by saying we're all gonna die lol
Angela one thing to remember is Sylvia is Loki they are not separate individuals. She was the only female Loki shown which, may be why she was pruned which in turn, proves she did nothing wrong but that she was born.
No, the reason why she was pruned was that she was becoming a good person. It was clearly shown in the first season. I don't remember the episode, but it was when she played with her toys before she got taken by the TVA. And Loki and Sylvie are not one thing. They have their own character. They're not exactly the same.
@@Stephanie-es7wv Hi Stephanie. Thank you for your response to my comment. I need her help to enlighten me. What mischief had the female Loki caused? As you mentioned, all we saw was her playing with toys while when Möbius showed versions of Loki all were male. They are the same entity/person however; they have different life experiences which is what confused He Who Remains when two of the same person arrive Remember, he mentioned how wild it was that both of them were there being they are they same person. Sylvia also informed Loki he could enchant because she could because they are the same person. This does not take away from their slightly different variations in characteristics but they are of course, variants. Can you please point me to the scene showing young female Loki as a bad person? If I missed it, I apologize; I don’t recall her being pruned until she pruned herself and found Mobius and the Loki crew at the end of time. The hunters grabbed her as a child but she escaped so they never pruned her.
In Ahsoka, Disney uses a character that is said to have arrived at the Jedi tempel in a big blue box (Huyang) and now they call a Marvel character Brad Wolfe? Are they trying to buy the BBC's SciFi deparment?
"I like Brad! Ha! Ha! HAAAA! Who knew that it would take 1 episode for me to be like 'not quite the douche I thought he was but kind of douche I enjoy watching?" So you like douches? Well, here I am...
The only thing I don't understand is Sylvie having that TemPad. In season 1, HWR says he programmed it to go where he did when he pressed it so is ALL of this still programmed? Did Sylvie program it?
dox action in this episode is so obvious when we where introduce to her character bcoz she was against the plan of not pruning the other branch timeline and she left the tba with a lot of fire power for one person and i know sylvie has killed alot of tba hunters and is a force to be reckoned with but let be honest eliminating sylvie is not the only thing in dox's mind after learning the truth and her stubborn belief of pruning other timeline be the correct way....
I am unsure about this season, there have been some good moments for sure but it feels...disjointed. Like this episode revolved a lot around x-5 and made it seem like they had a long standing relationship but he was just introduced in the last episode. Mobius made some comment about "all that time you've been gone and you haven't found her?" But he only left at the end of last episode with no discernable time jump. And the mystery of the general's mission, set up and resolved in less than an episode. Also also maybe it will be addressed but aren't the branches infinite? The bombing would have to continue indefinitely like the TVA previously or they are finite in which case the bombing just solved problem with the time loom. I dunno, maybe i'm just getting old but it really feels like this show has cut a bunch of connective tissue (like oh 4-6 extra episodes) to fix the stupid 6-ep limit marvel tv shows have now and i feel like i'm missing things, forgetting things and just generally having to do extra work to make it make sense. Your reactions as always though are impeccable. Looking forward to the next one :)
If they need Kang’s aura for that piece of tech my guess is they’ll go looking for the nicest version of Kang and discover Victor Timely and bring him to the TVA for the aural match. So if I were Ant-Man Kang and I just got set free (I theorize he did not die at the end of Quantumania) then I’d find Victor and kill him and take his place and wait for the TVA to come get me and bring me there.
I *SWEAR* the pie and interrogation room scenes were improvised. That’s why they’re so good! 😂
Casey meeting OB was like Mark meeting Ricken in Severance. Pure joy in seeing the person whose words made a difference in their lives.

Given the look on your face during Tom's "terrible awful things to you" speech, it definitely had the opposite of the intended effect on you 😂

Fun fact: This is Marvel’s most expensive and successful show and is the third most expensive show of all time! 🤯
Dox just killed more people than Thanos.
And she isn’t even the main villain

dox action in this episode is so obvious when we where introduce to her character bcoz she was against the plan of not pruning the other branch timeline and she left the tba with a lot of fire power for one person and i know sylvie has killed alot of tba hunters and is a force to be reckoned with but let be honest eliminating sylvie is not the only thing in dox's mind after learning the truth and her stubborn belief of pruning other timeline be the correct way....
Brad is a little like Gaius Baltar.
I think Dox is an older version of this variant of Sylvie🤔 And X-5/Brad is her son with Loki😮
Is that incest?
I think it's more self-love than incest🤔🤷
If they need Kang’s aura for that piece of tech my guess is they’ll go looking for the nicest version of Kang and discover Victor Timely and bring him to the TVA for the aural match. So if I were Ant-Man Kang and I just got set free (I theorize he did not die at the end of Quantumania) then I’d find Victor and kill him and take his place and wait for the TVA to come get me and bring me there.
