Seeing this live was amazing. The helicopter sounds and gigantic screen visuals were another world. The Queen never disappoints.
Facts.
“Gang Bang” came off her MDNA album which was about her divorce from Guy Ritchie, who famously known for directing action style films like “Snatch” and “Sherlock Holmes”. He also directed her video for “What It Feels Like For a Girl” so this performance is a very proper response to her feelings dealing with their divorce.
Also, M has acted in multiple films and won a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her work in Evita.
Madonna is the greatest stage performer of all time period. Nobody does it like her. She was a cool 54 year old when she did this, can you beleive the energy she has? And yes that song is from her MDNA record released in 2012.
I was there in front row. You have no idea how intense it was. The gun shots sounded so loud, and the blood splattering all over the screens. It was incredible.

I stood 3 rows away from the Golden Triangle pit at the front of the stage for the MDNA tour when it was here in
Los Angeles proper.
Seeing that particular song performed
the way she presented it, was EPIC!
Madonna said the name of the song is
due to how many different producers worked with her on the song.
The theme of the performance, is revenge.
In the most deadly ways possible.
I suspect, it was written and conceived
about her newly divorced self from her second ex-husband, who reportedly said
he would never take any money from her.
She didn't have him sign a prenup.
He walked away with around 74+ million dollars of HER hard earned $$$$$$$$$$$,
as well as the estate/property she bought
in England when they first got married.
She's PISSED TF OFF!
It was a huge criticism to the lack of gun control and how people are easily killing each other. This tour she said it was all about a journey from the darkness to the light and the first section is pretty intense. She took it to a whole new level!
Funny. As a woman I would not take that message at all like that.
Basically because I disagree with Madonna's gun policy stance, which is that 'guns do not kill people, people do'. Now, if I had a gun, I'd kill people, that is, I would have, multiple times. Lucky for me, we have very strict gun control laws where I live in Scandinavia (with all the hunting and all).
For me this was pure aggro towards men. With all the assholeness of her ex-husband, of her previous partners, of the music industry, of the media, of her father... It was murder because that is what one would feel like after all she's gone through.
'Mer Girl/Sky Fits Heaven' for her Drowned World Tour. Another amazing theatrical performance.
The fun part was the bloopers that happened in a couple of performances. One when the gun doesn’t land in Madonna’s hands and the biggest, when the set malfunctioned. The set couldn’t move to the location and Madonna basically improvised and did the whole song without the set.
@@peepee2922 I think that the point is that after everything is perfect in 98% percent of the performances, she still can manage to go full improvising and scrap in the moment what is mechanically choreographed
And don't forget the one in Medellin, Colombia when the dancer hit her and break her eyebrow. She did the whole song bleeding
this tour is in my opinion her darkest and most controversial, which is why i love it

To be honest the next song 'Revolver' after this is a pretty good performance.
This was incredible live, the stage, the timing, the choreo and the song and screens are incredible. This song is a revenge song against Guy Ritchie her ex husband who she had to give almost 90 million in cash as part of their divorce settlement . This whole tour was on another level .........and he did this night after night while touring all over the world.........

I think this is a kind of tribute to Tarantino, if I am not wrong she wanted and asked him for directing the video of this song, obviously it never happened.
Yup. I don't think they ever discussed it together although. She joked that she "couldn't afford his directing fee" and if I'm not mistaken he was filming 'Django Unchained' at the time. I did read an article where he said she had a bad rap as an actress and that he liked her in 'Dick Tracy's I think. Would've been a great video.
