Yeah..81.. Hello Sailor played in 80 and Brazier was off his face after returning from USA.. He dropped the mike at one stage and couldn't pick it up !
I went to sweetwaters 1981,82.83 and saw so many kiwi bands, still got my tickets and programmes for 2 of them and a copy of sweetwaters news that was printed onsite.got posters too.
@Riffharder Elvis Costello was great there, also remember Split Enz playing "Charlie" seemed particularly good there. I remember the truck for the portaloos broke down or something & they were totally choked up - gross

This is DEFINITELY not Sweetwaters 1980 - that was Sailor, this is Legionnaires. More likely Sweetwaters 1983 I'd say . .
WOW
Oh yeah... and I still have my tickets :D
Tthis was definitely 1981 not 1980 (I was there for both). Excellent none the less.
Graham wasnt off his face. He was tired after just getting back from a tour around australia.
pretty sure this was 1981, not 1980....I don't think Karen Hay started doing RWP until the beginning of 1981.
