If you've seen this in the new cinematic you might have entirely missed the context, this is exactly how the Void Lord Dimensius had destroyed the planet K'aresh in the ancient past by bathing it in void energies and new information reveals that Xal'atath is the harbinger of this exact Void Lord which means we can predict what is going to happen to Azeroth and it looks like we are actually going to lose for the first ever in WoW.
This is what Sargeras tried to prevent and we stopped him so now we will have to do what the Legion never managed to accomplish. It seems like the entire sword of Sargeras ordeal was a message to the titans not us that there is no other way to contain the void as we learned that it was the sword that turned the Beledar crystal into the void, helping Xal'atath and her plan significantly. I'm not going to get into crazy conspiracy theories here I'll lay out all the new information so you can decide for yourself.

In my opinion Sargeras knew that Azeroth goes through a phase of Void corruption in a cyclical manner as the planet revolves around an unknown gravitational centre roughly once every 48 thousand years. It is divided into four 12 thousand years long periods that bestow the planets with different kinds of energies and Azeroth just reached the end of one such time frame, which means monsters from the time before the Flood will return. What follows is 12 thousand years long reign of Void, which will be strengthening for 10 thousand years, then it will gradually weaken for 2 thousand years after its peak power is achieved 10 thousand years from now and it will start the new era after two thousand years of weakening are over, meaning Azeroth will have to wrestle with darkness for 12 thousand years. The sad thing about the situation is the reward mechanism has flipped and it is so powerful now even Sargeras fell after he tried to stand in its way. The dark acts that benefit the Void will now be rewarded for ten thousand years and anyone who tries to stand in its way will be swept away by increasingly more powerful force as the new age progresses. The ancients were trying to warn us the current age has ended and what follows is birth of a new era gaining in strength for ten millennia.
Its patch 13.3, last titan final patch: Dimensious is defeated and on his knees, looking at the void hopeless. Behind him a massive figure awakens with black wings. Its azeroth!! and grabs dimensious by the neck, disenchants him and hold his skull for a few moments, until she stands up and points at the mortals, "follow me into the abyss" she says.

The moment they mentioned midnight and the last titian, I figured wed need to lose in at least midnight to setup an action ending.
We lose in both War Within and Midnight, and what happens next when we defeat shadow and only Light and Titans are left?
@@UncrownedKingDante Per se none of the cosmic forces were ever defeated. Some of their plans were stopped and in case of Death for example that one rogue Death God was shut down, but that's still not defeating the cosmic force Death itself.
Overeall really defeating a cosmic force would likely be just as bad if not worse than a cosmic force winning.
@@miriamweller812 I do realize we have much more players on the table here then blizzard leads us to believe.
I also think alot of characters from SL will be relevant in near future, especially Primus and Denathrius, also the first ones will be so much mentioned in the last titan.
They will connect the dots from past that arent connected and that didnt make any sense.

@@UncrownedKingDante SL will never be relevant again. It was a catastrophic disaster for WoW, and is now brand poison. The jailer is still routinely mocked, and Thrall is going through the same "elements are ignoring me" plotline, because Metzen is simply ignoring danuserlands.
We aren't gonna lose. We just have to pay for two more expacs to get a wrapped up story.

Thats if you look at it from surface perspective.
Azeroth woke up moment when he stabbed it.
Its more like Sargeras is the Last titan as we were hinted Azeroth IS NOT titan, rest of pantheon is already dead, what we saw as "Titans" were constellations left behind by real titans to fulfill their duty, like rest of "Titan keepers" on Azeroth.
Also for fact we know Azeroth was deeply imprisoned by Aman'thul and Norgannon.
Sargeras has domination runes all over him before he "corrupted" himself with Fel magic.
Its much bigger picture then "he is just bad and he did it to prevent bigger bad", its all part of twist and conspiracy we will find out in Last titan that metzen mentioned.
Whole point of the cosmic forces and their war.
Only the balance of all six is "good" for reality and mortals.
Neither of them on their own is.

Funny how you crybaby still don't get how a manipulator works. Got NOTHING to do with 4D chess but hiding and - DUH - manipulating.
It took Zovaal thosuands of years to reach a point in which he coul follow his plan, so thousands of years of failing, but as long as his manipulation stayed hidden he could continue to wait and work on reaching that goal.

dreadlords are ants. denathrius alone could manipulate him, but only when sargeras is at his most vulnerable.
Maybe the Titans will be so desperate they let Sargeras and the Legion out and it'll become "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"
It either means the void is fought back, Azeroth ascends but a lot of pain with it, or Warcraft goes full Warhammer "Rocks fall everyone dies"
Man, if Sargeras was right all along, I'm just going to uninstall. That's not a "what a twist!" moment, that's just dumb.
I hope for the return Illidan and Sargeras to combat Void in the last Titan, wiil be amazing!

I think the titans are responsible for Karesh being destroyed.
I think they removed the world soul of Karesh to prevent the void from getting it, thus destroying the planet. They then moved it to Azeroth. Which is why it is singing the exact same song now.
We've defeated one enemy and inadvertently helped another enemy before. While the War Within is almost confirmed to end with a full Void invasion, resulting in the Titans returning to "reset the planet", it's not like we haven't defied fate before, and saved Azeroth on our own. People like to defend Sargeras and Zovaal because that's been the trend within certain parts of lore community since BfA, but I'm sure with Metzen back, they won't go too crazy with the tinfoil hat- stuff, like Danuser did.

I actually think you're wrong on the connection between the sword and the crystal. I think the sword was meant to crack the prison holding azeroth/the world soul, and that is why its been able to speak to us, and that this crystal is basically a chaotic neutral, that was kept positive while azeroth was fully imprisoned, and was negative when the black empire controlled it. Now that the prison is weakened, i think it has reverted to its primordial state, spreading both light AND darkness.
so sargeras' brilliant plan was to stab azeroth, damage a crystal, turning it void? contradiction...is he stupid or just foolish?

I think the sword is there for a reason, not just to stick it to anyone. Sargaras had more than enough time to get a full cleave on the planet if he wished, but he chose to plant it. Gorribal the Dark Seether as the rpg would call it, could be the contingency against the void, it could stand like a beacon and draw the void in, trapping it, much like Xal’atath was within her blade. I still fully expect to see the forgotten one to rise from Kaz’Algar, and once he falls, the void will be exactly where they want to be, the void lord will come, we may have todo somethings but I think it will be Sargaras’s sword that proves to be our light in the darkest of nights.

Sargeras did not fail, he injected Argus power into her blood stream via his sword, the power coming his sword (it’s gone now!!!!) She is god of creation , Argus is god of destruction. He knew what he was doing. The power coming out of his sword when be stabbed her.. not to harm her, but to wake her up. And she is waking up.. war within is evidence, she’s speaking to us.. the titans had her in a dream 24/7 until now. He will return last expansion to sacrifice himself for her

Sargeras could the last titan, but I have a feeling that it will be Azeroth her self since, I think she is the only one stronger than Sargeras, and they only way to avoid corruption might be if she awakes.
Azeroth isn't a Titan though. Why would the newly empowered Aspects literally say "this is not the Titans magic - it's from Azeroth". I mean they know how Titan magic feels and that wasn't it. Azeroth is probably the culmination of all the cosmic forces or their creator. She probably is a first one or something else entirely.
Sargeras feels like a good example for an anti-villain if this ends up being true. He has good intentions, but his way of doing it isn't.
If the game is a big clock. Vanilla is one o clock, Midnight is 12 o'clock. The war within is the 11th hour.

Sylvanas Windrunner was the hero the whole time. We are the villains and we are doomed for our crimes. If we wish to save Azeroth. Than we need to find Sylvanas Windrunner. As she the only one who can fight the void. We must kill Alleria Windrunner as she is void corrupted.

We won't. No idea how this guy looks at a world-destroying threat and says "yeah we lose here." We'll likely fail to stop Xal'atath in TWW, and then maybe Azeroth winds up with some void power by the end of Midnight, and that's what causes the conflict with the titans in the finale.

I’ve been saying this form the beginning 😂 I actually think we won’t win until the third expansion of this saga because war within is going the be the war and midnight will be us fighting and losing against the power that took hold and finally in the last titan we will forge our own titan to help fight and win against her
