    Mad respect for the Moto ped upgrade read about in above comment. Great score. I did the electric and don't regret the upgrade. Yeah the first one is only 36v500w legal build but worth every penny spent. Am currently looking for the same moped wheels to upgrade for the other frame I wouldn't mind going 72v 6kw with the moped rim and adding the front wheel drum hub for the brake torque ability of burnouts. Enjoy all the customizing folks do with this frame. Just hate seeing them cutting one up when it's just as easy to replicate one with the right tire size. Stretching them means the loss of two so do the math. Those frames are fetching $200 in decent shape so cut them sparingly if ever. They ride pretty agile as they are. Just add speed. Keep up the good works.

      Yes, the Moped rims are a must for these bikes to be able to stop. You can usually pick up a parts moped pretty cheap. 72V would be one fast bike, you should build it and let me know. I agree the price of everything has skyrocketed I look online everyday hoping for another deal but haven't found one yet.

      It might not look pretty but it is still holding to this day. I’ve since bought a new welder.

      Hahaha I know the welder has a few issues and constantly trips the breaker. I have e since gotten a new stick welder which works much better

    How did you get the the bigger sprocket to work with the stock rim ?

    • @NorthernChris1
      @NorthernChris1  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t end up changing the sprocket from the moped rear rim. It was the same tooth sprocket as the motor so it worked perfectly. If I changed the rear sprocket I bet I could get it to go faster.

    Nice work brother ..I have an west coast chopper bycicle and I'm debating on what type of engine I want to mount if you don't mind can you please tell me what size engine you instead

    • @NorthernChris1

      Thanks! I used a 125cc 4 stroke. It came from a kids atv. It has a 3 speed transmission with it, they sell two stroke kits for these bikes but sometimes they are more headaches then they are worth.

      The rim was off an old mid 70's Motobecane Moped, I bought it off craigslist for $100 for the whole moped. the front and rear rims fit perfectly and they already have the drum brake inside them.

    • @NorthernChris1
      @NorthernChris1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought an old moped from the 70’s for the rims, it came with a sprocket that matched the motor sprocket teeth.
