We have kind of the same situation with our laundry/kitchen area we just keep our laundry stuff on one shelf in a cabinet/pantry area of the kitchen since it’s right there in the same room (we don’t keep food in this area of the pantry lol.

Also I love your patio or balcony I would put a Christmas tree in the balcony with Christmas lights make it look all cute once you're done with your apartment it's going to look fabulous girl it's so nice and bigger I'm so happy for you that you were able to get or a transfer to another apartment so happy for you God bless!🥰

You need to move your couch way to left AWAY from windows and have foot piece on right side. That way it’s more balanced and you could put chair on left for a seating area.
Your place is looking good. I like it. I use to live in an apartment. I've bought a house a year ago. I think my house is like 3x to 4x the size of your apartment. And I have a large yard .50 acres. Not fun to clean. 😂 I love the privacy though.
