    Thanks great tutorial for a beginner like me :) i like the way you explain things in a general way but not overexplaining; and you have a pleasant voice ;) I also noticed that when you change the speed of the emitter, it changes the lifetime (distance emitted)

    instead of adjusting the Emitter LifeTime parameter, it can be tedious, what you can do instead is to create a Destructor object for particles. You will find it under Simulate -> Particles -> Destructor. Then, you can place this Destructor right on the surface of "water". Now, you can put anything you want in the LifeTime parameter. Once a particle hits the Destructor, it will be destroyed. It's exactly what you need.

    I found the problem - there is a water surface 2 in the tutorial file. I eliminated that and it works perfectly. thanks for the fantastic tutorial.

    Possible you are rendering just one frame where water drops have not yet hit the planes surface (rendering current frame) try to render an image sequence say from frame 0 to frame 100 and see if you have good results.

    I too have C4D R13 but at 7:26 when you go into create load material then visualize, I don't have any of those tabs that you have. Mine goes from load materials preset to a terrain texture pack. How can I get that visualize tab plus all the options so I can continue with this tut?

    • @techtiptricks
      @techtiptricks  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      you would have needed to install C4d Studio in order to have the Visualize material options.

    At 8:00 I ran into a problem, i tried to create the water but after Create>Load Material Preset it says Empty. Am I missing something?

    • @komputerrepairgeexs8205
      @komputerrepairgeexs8205 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bloodied Angel just make your own material and try to get as good as possible to look like water...
      1: create a new material
      2: go into properties
      3:click transparency properties
      4:change refraction to about 1.4 fiddle around with it until you like
      5: change the Absortion color to near aqua color *will be below in transparency properties
      6: go to color click the arrow own texture click gradient and click on gradient text
      7: change the type to 2-V first color white second color aqua your done with that now follow through with the displacement your done
      8: enjoy fiddle around with the sttings...
