I had two strikes at one point, and one was for ACDC and the other The Eagles. I stay Aya from both entirely now. They weren't even originals, the were Karaoke cover songs lol :)

That means hundreds of my covers could shut my channel down on any given day at their whim! So, I should have known better is true, but now I’m rethinking this whole drum cover thing.
The Eagles love to copyright strike anyone and anything. Pretty sad end to their career if you ask me especially since they have been caught out lip synching to backing tracks on their tours recently too
I used to shoot a lot of video of live bands in clubs around West Palm and I never got a strike but I shot a video of The Long Run, an Eagles tribute, and it got instantly muted. Like, within seconds.

One advantage to covering CCM tunes is that you don’t have to deal with copyright issues very often, if at all.

I did one eagle cover years ago and never did it again because they’re notorious for handing out copyright strikes on TH-cam
