    Wow that's amazing that you have got such great swr on ALL those bands, what a great Ariel, were I live is a little more complicated, but I've put up a serio signal keeper , and then I Got a sirio boomerang slowly I'm going up a little bigger every time, so my next Ariel is going to be a lot bigger and hopefully they don't really notice this. And I'll be happy as a pig in mud. Thanks again Mark.ALAN CT/48/70. 💯👍

    Nice one. Still going strong. My 2016 is one year old now and still doing great. Not had it down for any inspection yet. Thanks for the video. 👍🏻

      Hi Stewart, many thanks, the only bit i have seen is that ring around the antenna plug, may put some paint there after all to seal it. Glad yours is going well, they’re a great antenna. 👍

    Have to say I’m tempted with this Antenna. Looks well made.
    I’d be tempted to Hammerite those T&K brackets. Will smarten them up.

      Hi Soldierloz, yes very pleased with it so far we had high winds all this weekend and it was fine. Good shout on the hammerite for the brackets i will get to them over the summer in readiness for winter.

    Nice update mines up about year and a half. No problems with it in any way. Tunes nice on some of the amateur bands as well. Fantastic antenna, built to last for sure.

      Good to know, they seem well made and not affected by strong wind so a good antenna so far and performs well.

    I womder what the pergmformance is like compared to the Sirio GAINMASTER ,I am still undecided which one to buy, i guess the ground planes on your 2016 would suggest a quiter noise floor on RX receive ?

    • @britishcbradio1055
      @britishcbradio1055  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, With regard to rx noise ot also depends on the gadgets in your house / neighbours as they can give terrible QRM, so thats a big factor o consider as well. Fingers crossed i am not too bad here and i eliminated my ineterference some time back, theres a video on it where i did a dark test and found the cause. Either will be good, think the gainmaster may be a bit bigger and with the 2016 you need room for the radials so consider both when purchasing - good luck!

    Hello my Friend from England, i'am have the same Model since 2 Month (sorry for my bad school-english) 😢
    Why do you not make the Antenna higher, so the Radials above the Roof ?
    The "TX" from this Radials, is in this one Direction "full blocked" and have only a little bit of Effect.
    It is realy much better, the Radials have 360° free TX-Output. You can't put the Antenna higher ?......that would be an explanation...
    kind regards from Norman, South-West Germany from the Black Forrest,

      Hi
      There are two reasons why i keep the antenna at this height/-
      1. I live on top of a hill so am very high up.
      2. Want the nighbours to get used to it before i start slowly added a pole at a time and making it higher, where are you from as your english is very good👍

    Hi thinking of buying this for my first antenna, how high should i place it please

    • @britishcbradio1055
      @britishcbradio1055  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi The higher the better, however you will have to consider things like:- where you can mount it, how capable you are of getting it high up i.e the higher you go the more muscle you need available to help, wind damage - if you get string winds then a bit lower may be better. You can see mine is not that high at all and from the UK i can get brazil on it with just 35watts on ssb so they do perform very well. Also if on a hill then you dont meed to go as high as if you in a valley then as high as u can. Hope that helps you a bit, its really depends on a number of things oh and also how understanding your neighbours are, start low then occasionally add a pole and get higher often works well. 👍

    Big Bandwidth like that with low SWR can only mean poor gain. The big advertised gain is very dishonest and misleading.
