I can’t believe how maneuverable. That Fighter Jet is when you consider how close those man’s are, very impressive. Thank you for such an excellently crafted display start to finish by this impressive German pilot and the German Air Force and the ground crew ! Well done
Fantastic video in every way. It is delightful to see such an open and friendly pilot who explains almost everything about the Typhoon and the work which goes into flying it!
I simply loooove aviation videos about Jet airfighters....and....I am a giiiiirrrrl!...also love watching eagle (bird) vids...can you see the resemblance??? ❤😊
Top lad ,top pilot, top display, you can tell a lot about a man by the handshake, absolutely stunning location for Jet fighter display ,tight tho ,them move were great if it wasn't between mountains😯😎
I see Western pilots and compare them to Asian and Russian fighter pilot its just really no comparison. Decades of research, experience, technique and technology development for any scenario feasible puts Western Euro and American pilots a step above.
Dear Akash & Prop Clear team, this video with in-flight camera view adds some cream on top to the others of this stunning Typhoon display during ZigAirMeet23! Well, except that "bullseye" feature might have been front view camera, though rear view is very impressive, too. I also really like the laid-back atmosphere of the interview with pilot Hauptmann "Noble"; without hectic hard-cuts every split second but adapted to the explanations. Great idea to go for some kind of "we just do one take per scene only and that's it" approach. It gives such a human feel (like those very rare flaws) by avoiding overly perfectionism. You can clearly sense both the professionalism as well as passion Hauptmann "Noble" brings along when explaining the Typhoon (and doing the display, of course). Same for his "ground-crew", most of the actions simply appear as necessary routine checks rather than acting. Equally important and very obvious that they're strong team who can (and need to) fully rely on each other while having fun. Fair enough at the end they use the opportunity (well, or have been asked 😉) to do some "posing" for the camera at least. To me, doing this way might even more give it a role model appeal (and not for military aviation only; for me it clearly does, maybe due to I have engineering background), compared to few bit stiff official videos from Deutsche Bundeswehr, Luftwaffe and Marine (though I understand those need to be - let's say - slightly more serious to underline the "our mission for the country & alliance" message for much broader public audience). Assuming you have direct contact to Hauptmann "Noble" & his technician crew, please feel free to forward - well, they anyway might check your channel here from time to time.
👍👏. Many thanks, Akash, for this great video!!..very interesting and informative. And fair play to that pilot!! Awesome display, and such good, well-spoken English!!! Great work, and well edited!!.. 👌😁
These helmets are super high technology with some costing between 50-200k, so they are basically the most cutting edge thing displayed and has to be censored for intelligence reasons. Those helmets can lock enemy aircraft just by the pilot looking at them, for example. (The helmet that comes with the F35 allows the pilot to look through the aircraft through cameras and those helmet displays, which grants an insane level of situational awareness, which is probably the most important thing in a real fight.)
We are super happy you deem our video informative and entertaining! The whole team really did a great job on this one! All the best from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Great video! On my channel ZURICH ACTION I filmed the entire uncut video of the "Noble" display from Friday and Saturday (2 videos) August 2023 in Mollis from the outside perspective of the Eurofighter Typhoon. Greetings from Zurich 👋
What a modest chap, describing his display like it’s just a normal average everyday thing.. Brilliant guy 👏🏼 Edit to add.. My wife said this chap is my twin.. I suppose we do look alike.. Except the fastest thing I pilot is my motorbikes!😄🤙🏽
I know they had a thrust vectoring option for this jet, would have been really interesting to see a typhoon with it in a display, notwithstanding it a amazing jet with non vectoring nozzles.
Flares and trying to be so close the missile can't turn enough to get you. If you get fired on from behind with a modern sidewinder you are basically toast.
The EF Typhoon is a true air superiority monster and an impressive piece of engineering, but it has two weaknesses: the first is the high operating costs for an aircraft of this size (although these can vary depending on the user, according to Justin Bronk's report in Hush-Kit Magazine), and the Second one is that the aircraft was designed primarily for an air superiority role, unlike the Rafale where a different approach was taken to replace also aircraft operating from aircraft carriers.
Thank’s for your addition. I would still like to note that, according to my sources, which are accessible to everyone, the difference to comparable models of the same generation of fighter aircraft should be very small. However, I am not a proven expert in the field, and so I can only rely on publicly available sources on this point, but I always appreciate any new information that is based on reliable data/sources.
@@DamplyDoo The RCS isn't actually that bad. During the design phase the goal was to achieve a RCS at worst 25% of that of the Tornado. Allegedly they surpased that goal by some margin. Also the build in ECM suite is pretty good. Yes, it's no stealth fighter but at least you can equip it with a very good build in IRST, something the US somehow forget to do with the F22...I mean yeah, it totally doesn't give you away if you have to switch on your radar to target anything....
@@shi01 F22 doesn't necessarily need to turn on the radar. It can fire AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles using datalink for target acquisition and then the AMRAAM will use its own radar once in range.
@@itellyouforfree7238 True, but there are limitations. For instance target aquisition through an E3 isn't good enough to be used with missiles. The update rate isn't high enough. The E7 Wedgetail could provide enough Data though. But, that also works with the Typhoon, Rafale and Gripen equiped with Meteor Missiles.
This german pilot is representing the german airfoce in an outstanding manner, thank you !
Probably the best Pre-flight pilot interview I've ever seen a man with completely no ego, a rare thing indeed.
What a down to earth pilot so much respect for him ...1 in 1000.
Noble was absolutely great to talk to and getting to know him was an honour!

You are spot on!
And he seems to be enjoying himself 😄
What an incredible place to have an airshow! The mountainous backdrop really adds to the display!
Hell yes and the roaring echo the mountains create when the afternurner hits… shakes your whole body and just makes any aviator smile :)
Danke für die sympathisch rübergebrachte Erklärung, Herr Hauptmann.
Er steht mit Sicherheit schon in den Startlöchern für eine Stelle als Major!
The best Video about Eurofighter i ever seen.
Greetings from Germany.👍🏻❤️
Thank you very much!

This is like a Formula 1 driver talking you through a lap. Very well commentated and flown.
Mountains and fighter jets is always a beautiful combo ❤
One might argue that they should always come together! Though we would deem a aircraft carrier a worthy competitor ;)

What an amazing video about Typhoon fighter jet. Very interesting interview with a pilot !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Spectacular footage and the pilot explaining step by step is really cool. Big thanks .
Thank you! Very happy our video idea resonates with you!
I love his reaction at 17:44 😅,salute to him 🙏
I have seen that Eurofighter display when I was passing Mollis on a bicycle tour last summer. Incredible!
The pilot is a great guy, makes me proud to have served in the GAF 1987/8
Noble is a fantastic person indeed! Very glad it sparked positive memories in you :) Have a great day!
Great video, great explanation, great flight display! 🦅
The jet noise within those mountain slopes is probably top notch euphoric
Yeah it's pretty sick!
What a humble pilot.
What beautiful landscape to fly in.

A real Gent. I hope they come to RIAT 24. The team is a credit to the German Airforce.

Nice video, fun to watch! One question tho, why pilot's helmet blurred during the flight?
These helmets are super high technology with some costing between 50-200k, so they are basically the most cutting edge thing displayed and has to be censored for intelligence reasons. *This graphic is pretty cool!* ;-)
Great video but I'm puzzled as to why the in aircraft face shots are blurred?
Maybe because the visor reflects the displays. The representation of the displays is classified information.
@jens_ru You are spot on! That’s why we had to blur it.
Great coverage and thank you
Love it, Thank you for the great narration

I know they had a thrust vectoring option for this jet, would have been really interesting to see a typhoon with it in a display, notwithstanding it a amazing jet with non vectoring nozzles.
By the way, the part is called AirBrake, not Airbreak, which means you want to brake and don't take a break. ;-)
cool video, thank you
Being a fighter pilot must be ace. 👍🏾
Looks very cool indeed :)
Amazing 👍
If possible I would like to know, if the complete performance (every second) is preplanned in all details or if this in parts is occasional.
IT is.. You can even try IT several times before the Event in the EF Simulator.
For the show offs its preplanned
unbelievable, worked on this a/c, very proud
Probably a daft comment but how would use of the chute increase and not decrease breaking distance ? 2:55
He meant increasing breaking power and therefore decreasing the distance required :)
Doesn't the way the oxygen tube is placed now seem more uncomfortable than the previous one?
Fantastic video, thanks!

Why are the helmet’s visor and mask “pixeled”?
For once , a German pilot who speaks great English, so the international community understands - lol - well done really - big like
all germans air stuff i have met speak english perfectly
Mit unüberhörbar deutschen Akzent,😂😂
I think it's a requirement
Huh ? What are U ... School teacher ?? 😅
Many Germans speak Good English...reason..English has strong Germanic roots!
i have a question, to escape from a thermal missile launch is correct to do a loop and going directly to the missile, to evade?
We won’t reveal our tacticts today ;)
It very highly depends on the situation. Flares are also extremely useful, especially against older missiles
Flares and trying to be so close the missile can't turn enough to get you. If you get fired on from behind with a modern sidewinder you are basically toast.
The most missiles travel at Mach 3-4 (over 1km/s), so i guess there is not much time to perform a loop.
Flying into the sun helps. ;)
Who wants to see him do a lap of nurburgring
Why was the front of the helmet blurred?
Came to ask the same
Because of the visible details of helmets hud I would bet
The cockpit panel is classified, therefore the reflection in his helmet was blurred.

Everything is done by computer.

Why is the helmet of the pilot censored??
An airshow pilot every day, until the call comes.
Josh Zerker can fly a Eurofighter?
I've seen them go vertical and bail out and I am yet to see a hornet do the same. The f35s are a beast when they want to go vertical though.
2:50 a chute to increase break distance? :D
^^ increase breaking power / decrease break distance
I don't know how he keeps situational awareness .. er of those mountains
Ist das der Libelle G Suit
Why do pilots wear a normal flight helmet and not BAE’s Striker I helmet for better situational awareness?
because it is pretty unlikely to get engaged in combat during an airshow
Why is there a blur on the helmet?
the classified cockpit is mirroring in the helmet
Jesus, Respect.
