Love all your Demo very much it does help and give More ideas and ways to use Even Cereal boxes which I have used in other projects. I'm on a Budget I'm 72 yrs old so this is my meditation And keeps me going and busy so Thank You so much God Bless you.🌴🤔😘🤗
Very nice project, MayMay! I've been making little folios to give as gifts for our medical helpers. Soon, I need to start working on some handmade Christmas gifts, and this little legal pad holder is perfect.
I'll be making 2 of these tomorrow for my brothers-in-law for Christmas. I think I'll include a 2nd notepad along with a note about how to replace it. Ill be sending them in the mail from Florida to Maine, so I can't show them in person. I bought some Mintay papers just for this project. Thank you for helping me with the 2 hardest people on my list.
OMG Maymay WOW Your Covers are really Beautiful and Beautifuly Created...and the a Pen holder too?!! WOW and then a Check Replaceable Pad? YES & YES must say you think everything!! Yours turned out Magnificently and Look so Classy!! Definately a Fabulous Gift that Keeps on giving!! Thanks for your Outstanding Tutorials and Always sharing your Tremendously Terrific Tips, Tricks & Techniques!! YOU SO ROCK!! Joan Smith
I have made 3 of these since I watched your live and have 4 of them cut out to make. I have been looking daily/hourly, lol, for this video and I'm glad that I waited to make the last four of them because I like the pocket, which I improvised on the other three because the video quit on your live and I also like your decorating ideas on the front. I love watching your videos and making your projects. Thank you.
This is a brilliant pen and pad cover, but the highlight for me was the decorating of the pen! Never thought of that. I've been routing around google looking for decorative pens and they seem much more expensive here in the UK, so thank you very much for showing me that.🥰
I love this. A baking themed cover would be great to keep in the kitchen. **Note: If doing this for a teacher, remember the best thing you can give to a teacher is money or gift cards - they often have to work 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet. Tuck a gift card and some notes of encouragement into the pocket.
Yes or even gift your time. Offer to read stories to the class for reading time. I think they have a month they focus on reading. Other gifts: boxes of tissue for elementary age, electric pencil sharpener, jumbo packs of composition books, binders, art supplies, dry erase markers. Just make a mental note of what they use in the classroom. Ask where they shop so the gift card is to the right store. Offer to chaperone on field trips. They need help on picture day too and usually you can get free photos of your own child. They may need playground monitors during recess
I’m hooked on Maymay. I have folios to finish (18), the purse albums (2 so far) legal pads (4), composition notebook (5) plus given the composition notebooks as gifts (4) and I’m sure I’ve got a few other items in the process of being born. I am truly addicted. I’ve even purchased paper from the shop so my finished projects will look like yours 😊 ❤️❤️❤️
Challenge accepted! I actually made the original one for a friend and she loved it. I'm make this one for coworkers, teacher gifts and for our church outreach (we make gift bags for the local men's and women's shelters). Thank you so much for this video and for inspiring us every day! God bless you and your family and staff! 🥰🙏🏽
I made the original one when i was having craft night with all the ladies in my family, it was probably the best received one! They loved them, from 3-63! All of them!
You create beautiful gifts..you are very talented..I love watching you create every little piece..you give excellent step by step instructions..very well explained instructions..you are very pleasant to listen too, and follow along with..tfs..love em...
great update ... 👍 ... sold many of the orginal for ministry ... pen snob used to be g series gel ... but now the sharpie pens! Absolutely no smearing. But only in black.
I love this project Maymay! You actually made it easy to follow & assemble. Perfect gift for anyone. This one I will be making very shortly. Be well, be safe & TYFS
I just love how easily you decorate - it is so effortless and everything is perfectly placed. Thanks for always listening to the community and helping us make better projects and gifts. You are truly a gifted teacher!
Years ago, a friend and I got together and did something similar but we did it was fabric. We sold is beautiful 6 x 9 legal pad holders and we basically did everything you did but with fabric and making stitched area for the pin and an area for the pad and also sticky notes and then we did beautiful appliqué on the front…We went to craft shows and sold so many of them and every time we were always sold out because people wanted things like this and amazingly it was the students buying them for the teachers and the teachers buying them for the teachers and the Sunday school teachers etc. as well as Mom’s buying them as gifts. I still have my pattern for that and I still have one that I made for the longest time until my aunt saw it and it was in her favorite colors of purple and green and she begged me for it until I gave it to her. I also had a hand painted heart-shaped shadowbox, which I loved but I did not give it to her and then years later when she died I regretted not giving it to her. I should’ve made one for her but we all have things we regret. I have saved this website because I want to make some as gifts for my sisters. Every year we get together in October for a sisters weekend and I can personalize them but also I have a lot of friends at church and these are things that I can do for them and another thing you could do to personalize it if you take pictures, it’s to add a photo on the front but you’re going to need to put a photo cover over it to protect it. You can buy these in bulk at Walmart or craft stores without paying a high price at photo shops. People really love that especially if it’s nature, or even better a family portrait that you have taken that they didn’t know about Edin event or especially their grandchildren. Nothing makes him happier did your grandchildren, or children even. Those are some of my ideas I thought I would share. I agree with you about keeping the front smooth because we did so buttons on the front on a couple of them and that did not work out and I just wanted to tell you that it caused problems for people… People came back and told us that they snip the buttons off FYI. You did a beautiful job on this and I really enjoyed it. One more thing all of us have leftover wallpaper and you can you Go to paint stores And wallpaper stores and ask for their discontinued books and these make excellent designs for projects like this and you don’t have to use glue because they already have adhesive on them (not all but most)..Some really gorgeous colors for the front that are even foil and stunning designs as well as subtle for the inside and they have coordinated patterns so you don’t even have to do any thinking. By the way why did you use glitter glue stick things down when nobody’s going to see it. It’s more costly?
I bought all the supplies to make the ones that fold over (without the pens) & you just keep making them better! My brain is going to explode. 💛🥳 Woohoo!
That's a beautiful design Maymay. Thank you for sharing. It really turned out great. (I'm a RSVP pen snob too 😂) they are wonderful pens. Thanks again you're amazing!
May May, may be a silly question, but in the description, the measurements appear to be crossed out. However, I need to once again express my appreciation for your teaching style! You always pause at the times we need to really pay attention, and it makes it sooooo much easier to follow! I've been a faithful subscriber for years, and you still have the easiest to follow tutorials I've ever seen! Bless you for blessing us!
I have watched a few of your videos and like them so newly subscribed. I used to watch another crafter, but she got a little too bossy. Telling her viewers when to watch, how to watch and I think you even had to pay to find out what she was using or the dimensions of the project. I really like this craft and will be making one to sit by my phones (yes, I am one who still has landline phones, lol!)
I must admit that whenever I made one of these stationary type gifts I figured out how to eliminate the pen holder. A pen is such a personal item that I never see the value of adding a pen. Most bulk type pens put in these boxes end up in the landfill. I do like the variety of card / legal pad kits that you provide.
Oh Maymay!! I watch you do it and it looks pretty simple. I try it, complete disaster!!! My cover doesn’t fully cover the not pad. I’ve made 2 covers with the same results!! It fits over it until I cut for the pen, fold it so the pen can slide into it and then it doesn’t cover the pad! I’ve measured ad remeasured but it still comes up short.
Thanks, MayMay!!!!
I just love this new idea 💡❤❤❤
Love all your Demo very much it does help and give
More ideas and ways to use
Even Cereal boxes which I have used in other projects.
I'm on a Budget I'm 72 yrs old so this is my meditation
And keeps me going and busy so Thank You so much God Bless you.🌴🤔😘🤗
Oh and you could also dress up the top of a few extra legal pads to add to the gift so they could even have replacements. 😊
Love the upgrade from years ago.
Very nice project, MayMay! I've been making little folios to give as gifts for our medical helpers. Soon, I need to start working on some handmade Christmas gifts, and this little legal pad holder is perfect.
Perfection Achieved 🫶🏼‼️
💕💖💕Thanks a billion Miss Maymay and all your “trusty sidekicks 💕🌈💕

awesome project! thanks for sharing.
I like the one fully closes way better. It protects the pad better. And there's plenty of room for a pen holder in it too.
OMG Maymay WOW Your Covers are really Beautiful and Beautifuly Created...and the a Pen holder too?!! WOW and then a Check Replaceable Pad? YES & YES must say you think everything!! Yours turned out Magnificently and Look so Classy!!

Love this! I didn’t realize you could take the pen apart. Very clever!
Love this!

I just love the replacement pad holder. I gave these away at our senior citizens luncheon as door prizes and everyone just loved them.

Fun to watch:) I used to make these years ago and yes they do make great teachers gifts as they go to a lot of meetings:) tfs God Bless:)
Those Pentel RSVP pens are my favorites as well, and now even more so after watching this to fill the barrel with the coordinating paper! Brilliant!!
Nice idea with the pen, very neat project,ty again
Love it and so classy with matching pen!
I made the original one when i was having craft night with all the ladies in my family, it was probably the best received one! They loved them, from 3-63! All of them!

I Love this one MayMay! Great job
I am a Pen Snob - I love my May May Epoxy Pen I ordered from her. It is red & black & writes fabulously
That turned out to be a beautiful desk pad. Thanks for sharing this gift idea, keep your creative juices flowing 🥰

Thanks, I have been looking for legal pad covers.😊
Too cute
my Christmas gift list just got easier...making these...thank you for the wonderful tutorial!
I bought all the supplies to make the ones that fold over (without the pens) & you just keep making them better! My brain is going to explode. 💛🥳 Woohoo!
That came out just gorgeous and I love the extra touches you put in this version.
Love getting white 5x 8 pads. Thanks terrific !!!
Awesome project! Love the versatility! You definitely make it look easy…..
I love all of these legal pad folios!
Great features on this pad holder! Thanks!
That's a beautiful design Maymay. Thank you for sharing. It really turned out great. (I'm a RSVP pen snob too 😂) they are wonderful pens. Thanks again you're amazing!
Quick tip, to remove adhesive labels on most items, I use my heat gun for a few seconds. Peels off without residue!
My fav pen….Tul medium point
On my schedule to make a few of these tomorrow. I bought a package of the small legal pads today, so I’m ready to play!
Beautiful!!
I would just buy those crystal covered pens to add to this project. I love sparkle.

Hi the crossed out lines is a glitch in TH-cam app
@@tamthaluehrs Thanks!
Thank you---Now I'll make both of them. I like this one better, though! Thank you so much!
FABULOUS!! Thank you!
I love all the versions of this project!
Hello, an idea one can try after you have your decorative pieces done just scan and print out then you will have a pretty cover?
I have watched a few of your videos and like them so newly subscribed. I used to watch another crafter, but she got a little too bossy. Telling her viewers when to watch, how to watch and I think you even had to pay to find out what she was using or the dimensions of the project. I really like this craft and will be making one to sit by my phones (yes, I am one who still has landline phones, lol!)
I love this…..may work on some of these tomorrow!
i love these, nice men gift for CHRISTMAS.
I just love how easily you explain these tutorials. What a nice gift this would be for anyone and for any occasion! Tfs! God bless you! 💗😊✝️🙏
These are so satisfying to make. Love it Maymay.
Can’t wait to try and make one of these.
So adorable :). Happy Birthday little one :)😊
This is so darn cute. I definitely will make it. Still making original folios for xmas gifts. Made 10 or more so far. Thanks Maymay!
Amazing as always!
Love it!
Great video!
Love it! Thanks for sharing!
This is so beautiful! Thanks for the idea to fill my favorite pen, also, with pretty paper!
Really really cool idea will be doing this one for sure
This is just what I need. I’m going to make a bunch of these.
3rd times a charm. I just fiddled with the measurements/cuts and it fits and looks pretty good if I don’t say so myself!! Lol
Perfection!!!!!
Very nice!!!!
Okay… one more challenge…. Replaceable pad with pen holder inside the cover!
I think this is awesome! I can see me making a ton of these for my coworkers!
Brilliant! Can this be enlarged for a 8 1/2 X 11 legal pad? Not sure if the 12 X 12 paper would cover it.
