Cute idea. I like to make things like this and donate them to the assisted living facility in my town for their bingo prizes. And, for me! Because if I don't write it down, I forget it. Thanks for this!
I used to carry these little composition books in my pocket to work and write my time when I clocked in and out so I could keep track of my hours. I never thought of decorating the little books before. I also kept one of these in the glovebox in the car to write down mileage between times of getting fuel. I used to have a car that the gas gauge was broken so I had to get fuel every 100 miles that way I didn't run out of gas. Making these covers is a really cute idea. Since I don't drive anymore and since I've retired, I don't have a use for the little books. But they look like they would be great to sell at craft fairs and such. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. :)
Love these! I decorate regular sized composition books for my Bible journaling. I can get 3 months in a book and this way I can just swap the cover to the new journal. We had bad weather here - over 6 inches of rain! Our pond flooded and we couldn't get out of the driveway until it receded. School was canceled here. We are expecting bad weather with tornados possible tomorrow. School has once again been cancelled. The north gets snow storms and we get tornados in the south! I live in Georgia, by the way. Love your channel!
So, do you actually swap covers to coordinate with your clothes?😊😊😊 I decorate covers with gift wrap paper etc, then make some kind of clear plastic cover from a recycled plastic bag or whatever, that can be easily removed. I like this for smaller notebooks. Nice.❤❤❤
Excellent. Thank you. I'm going in for surgery in 3 weeks and wanted to find something to give the staff taking care of me. This is perfect. Thank you so much.
You just gave me a great idea for my mom for Christmas! My mom is 86, and has cognitive issues, so she writes everything down - sports scores, tv schedules, bills paid, etc. I could make her 12 composition books with covers (the full size books), 1 for every month with a themed cover! I better get started! Thank you for this!
Genius! Genius again! I hope you never get tired of hearing me say this, because I can’t think of a better word that describes you and your channel. Sending hugs and thanks.
Hi sherry, my name is Rebecca Hampl and I just joined into your TH-cam account. I have watched your channel for so many years. You are so talented. I so much appreciate all the things you have shown me. I follow you and make so many things along with you. You make it so easy. I just turned 65 in January and still love all you do. Thank you so much for everything you have taught me all these years. I’m never going to give up on you.
What a perfect idea! Everything small and mini is so stinking adorable anyway. (I think it’s just me) I’ll definitely be making some of these for gifts and for password journals
I really love your, God is using you in a beautiful way. And I pray and hope that I'm putting a smile on your face. I just love everything you do. You do it with lots of love and was peace within you. You are very joyful person and keep on smiling. And joy joy joy joy😊🌹💖🙌🙏📖🕊️🙋 Love you 💖
I always loved the beginning of the school year because it was so much fun to make the book covers! Thanks so much for all of your tips! You are so creative and friendly 😊. PEACE
That is a good idea for my craft shows. Yes, my electric was off for 6 hours. We have another one coming in in the morning. Heavy rain and damaging winds. Schools are closed tomorrow in the Atl. I've got my flashlights ready. Be safe!
For years, I have been using pretty, glossy gift bags to make sleeves for my composition books. They are cheap, quick and easy to make, as well as slightly water repellent. I like that you alse cover your composition books. I like the bigger books though 😊
This is so sweet! I was at Dollar Tree today picking up more stuff from ideas I got from you. I ALMOST bought some of those pads and didn’t do it. I’ll be going back to get some now. Lol. This is going to be part of gifts I’m making. Missed you yesterday. I guess it must have been awful weather and that’s why you weren’t on. Prayers for the loved ones of the one who was killed. I have family that was hit by a blizzard and another one is coming. Thankfully we just had rain.
THANK YOU SHERRY For Continuing to come up with so many amazing ideas🥰❗️I am glad you had no damage to your home…🙏I am Praying for everyone who were injured and sympathies to everyone who lost their love🙏♥️❗️Perfect project to make for people who want a smaller sized book, and I absolutely love the idea of making it waterproof♥️😀♥️😁❗️Another 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️project and I did watch it till the end ❗️😁😁😁
So cute reminds me of how we covered our school books when I was in school, many years ago, (I’m old) with a removable jacket so it would not damage the text books. Thank you for sharing. ❤😊
I recently ‘discovered’ you, thanks to a suggestion from The Crafty Organizer. You never fail to amaze me with your projects!! And I love your wonderfully clear instructions and how cheerful you are! May the Lord bless you richly!
I love this idea!! I was going to work with a mini composition book today so I love love love the idea of a sturdy, beautiful little cover for it!! Thank you! Also, prayers for your family and whatever is going on. Hope that all turns out well ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Thanks so much, Sherry! I made a mini composition book into my shopping lists book that fits perfectly in my purse but never thought about making a cover for it. It was from Walmart and had a solid color cover. I added some floral stickers to it, then with a small piece of sea sponge I dabbed on some Extreme Glitter-Glitter Modpodge. It has held up pretty well, so far, and I'm still happy with it. I do like your changeable waterproof cover and may have to give that a try on my next one. Thanks again for sharing another very clever idea!
We are not having the storms you had, but thank heavens you were safe. We are being buried in snow, at least 15”+ so far. Still snowing with a couple of more days to follow this. Eagads.
Arkansas here, tornadoes Friday, Ice and Snow Sunday, Monday and sitting at a balmy 9 degrees today. It's been a wild ride, but I think everyone has come out on the other side, thankfully!
Here in the Low Country of South Carolina we had rough, high winds with plenty of rain! I love this idea of a cover! I would like to add an initial on the front for little gifts!
I am in the southeast. We had bad weather with power outage at our house from 5:30 am until 7:45 pm Tuesday. We also had one death in our area. Wonder if we live close to each other, Sherry. 🤷🏻♀️ Sue C Brannon
I enjoyed an update on waterproofing your process video. I remember something else too you did. Always great tips to make note of, and fun ! 😊 Appreciate your time too. Have a wonderful day. ☕️🌻Jennifer PS These are adorable with interchangeable covers. I will keep it in mind if I catch some mini’s at dollar tree. I have been watching. 💞
Taking a DT mini composition book and making it "POSH" is such a great idea! Would never have thought to use mod podge but that's genius! Thank you Sherry, I love this! 💙
I love your channel. Your projects are so adorable. When do you sleep, because these projects must take some time to think it through. But, thanks for all you do. I personally love all the quick and easy ones.
What a great idea! For a craft show you could sell one on the notebook and offer their choice of another. I like your pouncing of the Mod Podge. Very different than the usual brush strokes.
Live these book covers. The first thing I thought of when you folded those tabs over is was those would be so cute if you used the “paper” cutter design. I don’t know what they are called. Kinda like cookie cutters
The covers are like the old school book covers. I completely forgot about them. What a perfect idea to bring back to life.
Cute idea. I like to make things like this and donate them to the assisted living facility in my town for their bingo prizes. And, for me! Because if I don't write it down, I forget it. Thanks for this!
You come up with the best ideas. Something old becomes something new.❤
I love this idea for making covers to match the seasons or holidays. Thank you for your inspiration 👍🙋🏻😀✨
I like the how-to for waterproofing the cover paper. Thank you for posting this!

what an ideal gift for the holidays. Thank you.

I agree, mini's are so cute. Easy to carry and definitely beautiful the way Sherry dresses them up.
Not just you❤
WOW that is so adorable. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤
Love this idea, and you can do this with the bigger ones. Also, Woohoo !!!!
Mz Sherry, I love covering these mini composition books ... this new way will increase my gift card/note book stash🎉
I struggle with gifts for men. What a smashing idea for those with outdoor hobbies 😊
Holy smack down! Interchangable! Too flippin' cute.
What a cute idea. Thanks for the continued inspiration!❤
While I liked the other things, the signs for men were my favorite. Hope Dollar Tree stocks more of these. Thanks for sharing
I like that your method created pockets.
Those would be so handy for anyone's purse or a writing pad for your vehicle. Thank you for sharing, Sherry!
They sure would!

Stay safe and sound. We are having a lot of winds too!!! Love this idea!!!

Wonderful project! Your demonstration is excellent. Thank youm
Adorable and sophisticated!! 💜💜💜

Love that!
Such a great idea and such cute book covers these are. Love the transformation. Thanks Sherry.
Oh yeah, the book covers out of garbage bags. I remember them well, lol!
@@lindabradford9591My family used paper garbage bags too. We would use our color crayons to decorate them.
I like that better than covering the little book cause I think it would last longer.!!!!!
You did again!! So stinking cute!!😂❤🎉
Agree, very stylish and looks easy. Gonna try it.
These slip covers are so cute! Much as I like composition books, the covers usually annoy me. This is perfect!
Thank you so much!
So neat! Wow! You did it again.
Thank you so much 😊
Love this idea❤ Thank you, Sherry❤

What a great alternative to make a cover! This is a project that I can use up some scrap paper! Thanks!
I love the decretive metal corners.
I love this. I'm going to make this for a planner that I purchased with a plane black cover. It will look so much better. Pretty!❤
