Please make a cool and cute pirate fox artdoll because my birthday is coming up in a few days so please do it and could you please use foxy the pirate fox from fnaf as a Idea for his body and please name him captain fluffy
The way I actually gasped and jumped when I saw Kp posted and that it’s a dragon I just imagine it as a little bookworm! Omg when you said leaf wing I thought of wings of fire I think you accidentally made a fan tribe 🙂
As a seasoned needle felter, i can relate to the broken needle struggle. If there's ever any wire involved, my needle will actively seek it out with every stab just to cause me misery.
13:33 I have a suggestion for future driftwood use! I use driftwood in aquariums and it turns a much darker, warmer brown when wet, and *maybe* some sort of resin or polish (like rocks) would give the color you want but more natural. Love the dragon! I’m a sucker for fall themed things.
Might be a bit dramatic for such a cute creature, but I want to call him Dragon of Decay, because of all the mushrooms and dying leaves. He roams the woods in fall and helps decompose all the dead and dying things, so they can rejoin the cycle, and the living have more warm golden life force to get through the long winter
This is so cute! It’s fun to see you try new media in your art. For future needle felting projects use carded wool (DHG Māori is brilliant) rather than roving or tops, the fibres are shorter and felt together much faster. Also you can get a five needle felting tool which will speed up flat felting!
I LOVE watching you try something new! It is great to see you find joy in other types of art, and the end result was AMAZING! You made me want to try needle felting myself, but I am a wimp and will probably use protective gloves instead of finger gloves. 😆
i appreciate the editing the final shots to the beat in that one part, nice touch. Hope you liked the needle felting process, its slow but kinda satisfying to stabby stab.
The end result is super stunning! And you say you don't have patience, I think you have a lotttt of patience cause you completely finished it! And this is also very complex for something you're doing the first time. You did a great job!
kaypea I love ur videos so much every time a watch one of ur videos u always find a way to make me laugh or smile and u inspire me so much never give up ❤️
I really do love all of your creations, but the dragons in particular are stunning. Thanks Sarah for the addition of the adorable mushrooms and turkey fungi, it really helps distinguish the species.
This is such a cute, adorable and creative design for a creature!! I really feel the essence of "autumn" when I look at it- I love your crafts and this one is just as wonderful as ever!! ❤️
Hey KP/Editor Sarah, have you ever tried spun cotton. It's basically just use cotton and glue, the hardest part for me is waiting for the glue to dry, but you can also use a heat gun/ hairdryer for that. It's a craft that is dated back to Victorian times so heads up if you Google it, you may see some creepy/cursed examples. Edit: Now that I finished the video, HE'S ADORABLE!!!!! I suggest naming him Rowan!
Needlefelting is SUCH a lovely hobby...if you can handle the obnoxiously long, monotone stabby aspect of it, that is. ovO I tried it a few years ago, really not for me. I broke just as many needles as you, probably had equal parts blood and wool mixed into my little creations and it made me furious rather than relaxed/happy. Patience is VERY much needed for this hobby. Sidenote: Trimming off the loose fibers IS what professionals also do. So you made a good choice there. Needlefelting looks best when tidied up. ^^
Hi, kaypea!!!! I just wanted to say you never fail to make me smile... Your always so positive and happy!.... I love your creations and your just awesome!!!! Keep up the good work!!! Bye!
Polyester or wool batting work much better just make sure to test them as they are not all created equal but they have more texture for the roving to stick to. Unlike cotton batting which makes it way harder to felt with.
KP, your work is beyond amazing. You have such a skill in bringing these incredibly fascinating creations to life; and its utterly delightful every time.
I find if you use a three prong needle set up you get that goldy locks effect, more coverage than the single needle and more detail than the BIG STABBY, STABBY!💜🍁🍂
OMG I'M WATCHING THIS VIDEO 34 MINS AFTER IT WAS POSTED EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe
Oh my!! I have patience but not that much... This is one of the cutest dragons, aside from the derpy dragon I have ever seen.. Thank you so much sharing this..
That's the cutest Auttum noodle i've seen! Sculpting, painting, sewing and now needlefelting? Is there something ya can't do? Seriously, you're such an amazing artist, you and many other artists inspired me to try bringing my characters to live with air clay! Stay awesome!
It turned out so good. I tried needle felting once. After attempting to stab felt into a ball for 30 minutes, I too realized I had no patience. I threw it back in the box it came in and haven't touched it since 😅. I'm glad u persevered and made this little cutie.
Needle felting is my main media (mostly little pokemon and animals), and I love seeing you intuitively stumbling into the techniques I use all the time. If you want to go further down this path, I have some suggestions. 1. Do not use wire in areas that will be thin if you can avoid it. Your needles WILL hit the wire, and they WILL break. Your needles are fragile because of the back-hooking. Poke straight in and straight out (this is where the tools help, but I have a hand injury that makes them uncomfortable, so I do single-needle with no tools. Multi-needle tools are great time savers, but your needles will struggle.) 2. I can't believe the quilt batting didn't work. Did you test it too? I use polyester teddy bear stuffing as my core material. It's white, cheap, easy to cover with my nice colors. It just doesn't feel as nice, so I will even cover the white areas with white wool after. Colors are expensive. I hoard that wool. 3. Sarah was (kinda) right about the trimming. There are different needle types for these different stages, but most don't bother and will trim. You are probably using a needle meant for general bulking and not finishing. You don't need to invest in the other types unless you really want to go down the rabbit hole (they vary by shape, gauge and direction, and it's a lot of info...) Trimming works great, and you avoid over-felting (making your project too stiff). Save your trimmings, shove them together to use as core material for your next project. Maybe experiment with some wet-felting. 4. I blend colors the way you tried, but it takes FOREVER and you get fluff everywhere. I usually use it if I'm trying to color match and don't have quite the right color rather than building a gradient on the project. 5. Felting mats are great if you're working on sheets, but I prefer just holding my 3d projects in hand because the movement of my hand will help smooth out the fibers as well and I don't have the struggle of fibers getting caught in the mat and potentially picking up colors from the mat.) Bonus: HAND STRETCHES. STRETCH THEM FINGIES.
What kind of crazy autumnal abundance is this, 4 KP vids in a month?? My partner and I love watching your creative process and look forward to all of your videos, so thank you!
He's adorable! 🍂🍁 Neddle felting is a hobby I tried once but couldn't get into, so I get your struggles. But your dragon is cute, so it was worth it🐉🍂🍄
What do you think of our fall bean?? Are you excited for the chunky plushie?!?! www.makeship.com/products/derpy-dragon-plushie
Please make a cool and cute pirate fox artdoll because my birthday is coming up in a few days so please do it and could you please use foxy the pirate fox from fnaf as a Idea for his body and please name him captain fluffy
I like the bumpy lumps, made it look like fur, it turned out great.
I want to eat it!:3
Can you make a wof leafwing (srry if you already did)
if i wasn't poor i'd buy that derpy dragon TvT
The way I actually gasped and jumped when I saw Kp posted and that it’s a dragon I just imagine it as a little bookworm! Omg when you said leaf wing I thought of wings of fire I think you accidentally made a fan tribe 🙂
Omg I can picture that too!
@@KaypeaCreationsI can also imagine it with little glasses it’s so cute ❤
@@Athenas_daughterSAMMEEE
I SLOWLY LOOKED AT THE BOTTOM TO CHECK IF IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO
Same but after looking at the dragon, so cute
As a seasoned needle felter, i can relate to the broken needle struggle. If there's ever any wire involved, my needle will actively seek it out with every stab just to cause me misery.
"Dabble before you deep dive" and "I'm dabbling like a good noodle" My new mantras 😀
Hey for your first needlefelting the little guy turned out great:D.
He is more than good enough, he’s absolutely adorable 🥰 And he’s very well made!!
Thank youuu!
Love love LOVE you taking on needlefelting. This is so good
I've always wanted to give it a shot! Next time I think ill give myself a little bit more time haha
I tell people I have no patience but then I do a lot of bead work and it's like I don't have patience for anything other than my art projects
Now I'm imagining this little guy is like an adorable familiar to an elf or something that bring in the seasons
I can just imagine the Hunger Games type bloodbath that is happening in order to have a derpy little therapy dragon.
That is one cute Autumn dragon, as for the sketch, maybe another cute autumn creature like an Autumn ferret or mongoose. Have a great day.
yesss a ferret perfect

I learned that I messed up by buying tops haha. So much was learnt doing this 😆
@@KaypeaCreationsI did the same thing! It probably should be a needle felter’s right of passage 😂
I absolutely love it! You never cease to amaze me. ❤ You always make me smile, too 😊
The moment you said "Leaf Wing" I immediately thought: "IS THAT A WINGS OF FIRE REFERENCE?!?!?" lol.
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE
@ LOL
SAAAAAAAAME!
MORE DRAGONSSSS
also love the mushroom sweater ❤🍄
This turned out so adorable, I love it!! And the makeship plush is so derpy and cute!!!
This is amazing! This boi is so well shaped, I've tried felting like 20 times and it NEVER comes out this smooth; felting really takes a lot of skill.
Oh my god he'd absolutely adorable. I love how simple his little face is, and all the little details are incredible

When she said leaf wing my old wings of fire phase flowed through my mind.
Never wrong trying something new. All attempts and thin patience aside it looks adorable.
