      Mine are Initiative and Exodus. The former only in it for the money, the other abandoning our home.
      I despise the Servants as much as the rest sane person, but they at least are doing what they believe is for the best for humanity. Even if they are mistaken.

      To be honest, the protectorate is waaaaaay worse I believe. Here, you are a servant, yes, but at least you will travel. the iniverse. being part of. an interstellar empire.
      The protectorate puts you in a cage, and bombards cities if there are people in their that they don't like. They destroy Manhattan just because parts of their own team who are "no longer needed" are there.
      And they still sell people to the ayys. The "undesirables".
      Man, I hate the protectorate soo fuckib much. They are worse than the servants, because they are cowards and hypocrits.

    Servant ending is a good one, if you are ok with being integrated in to the alien empire as if not equals, then being pretty close to it, becouse of our willingness to cooperate. The future seems quite promising, humanity will be able to project their power through the alien empire and gets all the alien tech to improve itself. The aliens will get loyal cadre of elite and numerous fighters with yet untaped potential, i would say thats a win/win.
    Prectorate is the most shitty, since first: The people in charge dont really believe the idea of space empire with aliens, they just wana stay in power and second: The humanity will have no say in the affairs of the empire, since it will stay isolated and just provide aliens with soldiers, all while the elites will be able to use the rest of the humanity as their playthings.

    • @lordpeevisoftweed
      @lordpeevisoftweed ปีที่แล้ว +4

      SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
      servants basically directly co-operated with an alien ground invasion of earth. They did it/believed in it because of alien mind control drugs. Protectorate is what the alien mind control drugs were meant to do, the servants represent people who were affected but not exactly as intended. This is most clear if you play an anti alien faction, and then play a protectorate game. As you can directly see the effect of the pherocyte that way.

    • @adammilosdubovsky6607
      @adammilosdubovsky6607 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lordpeevisoftweed But What made them to believe that aliens are saviors? As far as i know they were like this ever since the first UFO crashed. Is it possible thaz pherocyte affected them from the crashsite? I havent played terra invicta so far so Idk😅.

    • @lordpeevisoftweed
      @lordpeevisoftweed ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@adammilosdubovsky6607 the aliens were using pherocytes before the crash, theyve been in the solar system for a while already. The 'crash' is actually an insertion vehicle of the aliens, and its the first one we detected. The pherocytes job is to make humans trust the aliens and interpret things to their favor/do what they ask. The servants instead got religiously triggered basically, as humans are prone to do. This religious triggering causes them to not act exactly as the aliens intend, as the servants basically feel the pherocyte, while the protectorate doesnt. This leads to the servants being able to, at a small level, interpret things differently than the aliens intended or resist it if they think its stupid. The protectorate are basically insane puppets, and incapable of realizing it. The servants detect and use the pherocyte over their campaign, against the aliens intentions. The protectorate never even realizes what it is, their writings and reports on it and many other things are just deranged.
      put simply, the pherocyte is supposed to be a secret undetectable mind control thing. And it is for many humans, but for some humans it instead acts as a drug they can feel. Leading them to be drug addicted zealots instead of the sleeper agents the aliens wanted.

    • @moonjumper6197
      @moonjumper6197 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      What the other guy said is wrong, the servants fully believe their thing, they're not mind controlled, in fact them being immune to pherocyte is actually part of their plotline

    The aliens look like upright moose w/out horns. This looks like a rough ride for humanity. History is usually not kind to subservient populations. The Protectorate looks even worse, they're just duck-and-runner chickenshits. The other factions hold promise, this really looks like a great game.

      Too be fair, the Hydra seem to lack cruelty or malevolence towards their thralls. While spiritually horrifying, as Humanity will have nearly all of its independence taken away, the Hydra won't be as cruel as human masters. Sure they'll use humans as Canon fodder, but we already do that

    • @KalashVodka175
      @KalashVodka175 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Difference :
      Protectore has Humanity be straight up enslaved by the Hydras (aliens). Humanity has no say in politics anymore, only a caste of local elites will be able to rule over Earth as power hungry control freaks in the name of thei rnew masters. Every years millions of men will be sent into cargo ships to become cannon fodder for the Hydra's war. On top of this humanity's mind is made subservient through the mind control of the Hydras.
      Servants on the other hand has humanity become SERVANTS rather than slaves, becoming a not-so-equal yet not-so-subservient caste of philosophers, soldiers and theologists. Mind control effects of the Hydras do not affect those who truly believe in the ideals of the Servant's theology. Unity of species under one flag, one covenant. Millions of humans will still serve on the frontline but not as mind controlled canon fodder but instead as proud warrior caste truly believing in the ideals of the Hydras empire.
      Servant leadership will become close advisor to the Hydras not just in matter pertaining to Earth but beyond as well. Quickly, Humans will be seen as indispensible to the Empire, not as slaves but as close associates.
      Protectorate has humanity become slaves. Servants has humanity become willing servants, and eventually, close to equal to the Hydras.
