'Completely new game' | Joel Matip Press Conference | Liverpool vs Atalanta

- Liverpool defender Joel Matip says that Atalanta will be much-improved in tomorrow night's Champions League game after the Reds beat them 5-0 three weeks ago.
Matip also explained how he has been training differently as he seeks to stay fit over the next few weeks, being Liverpool's only fit senior central defender.
The Cameroonian also explained how training against the likes of Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah has helped him improve as a defender, plus he outlined how important it will be to get fans back inside Anfield.

Matip is soooo underrated. His injuries let him down alot. Love it when he dribbles out and pings a pass
oh so youve also noticed that he can take players on and dribble into midfield and do those long cross field passes to set up goals i thought everyone had either closed their eyes and conveniently forgotten about how good matip is, he was at one point looking better than VVD!!! or like a 2nd VVD!! im not joking!! the long back to front balls that VVD is good at ive seen matip do those and set origi onto goal!!.... we have very good CBs in matip and gomez and no i dont think we should sell either!!!! and its fecking good to know fab is also fab in cb and so is millie!!!! good to fecking know!!!! Matip is world class imo, massively underrated and never puts a foot wrong when he plays, just hoping he can stay fit.
you got my backing!! he was really showing how he was up to VVD levels making mazy runs and doing all those long back to front passes setting up origi this was a season ago... matip is deffo at what hes shown above gomez... gomez is the understudy and dont get me wrong gomez is good too he has youth and speed on his side... but matip whoa! when he was full on confidence was like VVD i cant believe everyone either didnt see the games when matip was setting up goals and heading them in too... yes injuries have stopped both matip and gomez from playing and proving more to us... he doesnt need to prove to me i remember the preseasons... klopp acknowledges this! knows this we have 2 very good cbs in matip and gomez!! fab too!!!
Yep just injuries and people's short memories keeps him from the praise he deserves for his quality. All the CBs deserve immense praise in fact

@@RedMac63 well hopefully they both get abit of luck.. im not blaming the individuals for injuries that are incurred on them... seems matip had an tendon or something cut from someones tackle.... keita never got injured for RB but right now hes putting up with some shit... i cant wait till both these players prove the guys doubting them wrong... we've seen how good both these players are! Matip is as good as VVD! both need luck and extended run of games to blow doubters away
@@RedMac63 To be fair to Keita he played two games in a row for his country, which I think was silly considering he just came back from injury.
Before his last injury he played loads of games and was keeping Gomez out of the team
