The Boxer street version was filmed in Australia, near Chan's childhood home! And the dog is Berry, Chan's family dog!! Chan talks about Berry a lot on his lives.
That's why we caught it!! We made sure to memorize 8/1 and 3/25 since they like to throw those numbers in all the time 🤣!! It's so sweet ❤

I'm seeing a lot of comments explaining fun facts, so here's another one:
From what I remember "get cool" sounds like Korean slang gae kkul which means something along the lines of "super great"
So when they're talking about luck and small happiness, it's like you can find joy in even the smallest things that happen to go your way
Also, the character for 'gae' means dog and 'kkul' means honey which is why there are lots of doggos and honey imagery in the MV
We need to start back up on learning Korean haha. I want to be able to catch some of these things when we're listening!! The wordplay always astounds me ❤
Yes, a special thing about SKZ and 3Racha, they are an experts in word playing. The way they combine English and Korean words just fall into place.
Seungmin is really just something
he is good at absolutely everything.
Behind the scenes fact for Boxer street version. Seungmin was actually injured and could barely walk. We believe it happened on the set of the Running Man game they did (which was hilarious btw). They never said exactly when it happened or what exactly his injury was I don’t think. But you can see during the Australian concerts he had to be helped on and off the stage (one of the members supporting him under each arm) and he sat on a stool the whole concert. In the Talkers during that time, it’s the same. He had to move really slowly and be supported. But he did it all with a smile on his face. I’ve read somewhere that he was advised to stay home, but he wanted to be with everyone during the Australian tour because it was so special. And they guys were so good to him. Took really good care of him. There is another street video they filmed while there too. It’s Mixtape #4. I love that one too. They did a really good job of incorporating him into the videos without him being able to move!

Miro in korean means maze. Bang Chan said in the album intro that they added the H on the end to stand for either Heaven or Hell, depending if you want to go thru the maze or go deeper into it.

in the beginning of the MV for Miroh, there's a guy with a "dog" in front of the car, but it's actually a wolf. Into the City Jungle indeed.
Fun fact: Miroh can clear the water out of a phone if it has water in it. There's actually youtube videos showing it lol. The bass is real!
Boxer performance video (choreo!! but also OT8) honestly, I cannot decide which video for Boxer I like more... so I just have to love them both so much.
I think Changbin's second rap (in Boxer) is also the beginning rap in Miroh that Felix does. Not sure if it's 100% the same, but the lyrics (in english) seem to be the same. I have NOT fact checked lol
and edited to add: I do the choreo for these as well.. even while driving ;D but usually at stoplights - gotta be safe. But Get cool (I totally do the same hand motions lol), Miroh (crossing the arms... I don't think I'm coordinated enough to do my feet), Boxer (you'll find out after you watch the choreo version, that I really WANT to do the feet move.. but again, coordination is my downfall lol)

Definitely miss street versions of their MVs. They did these because they didn’t have a much of a budget outside of their title tracks but wanted Stay to have something. Honestly, they’re some of my favorite videos though!!

Get Cool is another in the countless entries of SKZ wordplay. "Get cool" sounds like "개꿀" (gaekkul), which technically translates to "dog honey" but is slang for...like, "that's great!" or "so lucky!" or the like. (Think of a '90s kid going "Sweeeet!" or "Score!") So in addition to the words and images about getting cool, there's all the references to luck/fortune _and_ the references to dogs+honey (with the additional inside reference of Seungmin+honey). It's triple-layered wordplay.
All of SKZ's dance practices are great, but the Get Cool one is hilarious. Not only do you see this full choreo (which goes so much harder than you'd expect for this song), but it's also just pure chaos. Yelling, Fortnite, one mild molestation of a cabinet... There are several versions (fullcam, closeup, a fanvid pointing out little details, etc), so I'll suggest that when you have time (on or off camera), just search "get cool dance practice" in general and then watch whatever catches your eye.
Get Cool is adorable lol. Still hits 4 years later. Oh also, this was the era where Felix was obsessed with Fortnite dances. You'll see him do a lot of them if you look up content from around this time. I AM: YOU is such a wild album lol. Part of it is super heartfelt songs like I am: You, Hero's Soup etc and the other part is lowkey crack with songs like N/S and Get Cool 💀

This is another era I'm very biased on because I think Clé: Miroh as an album still holds up incredibly well and is one of their best. Miroh (which does mean maze, yeah) is pure, unadulterated hype honestly. Don't blame y'all for getting hype to it lol, it's just that kind of song. This is also the era where they start to get...less soft so, good luck 😂
Boxer is one of the many hype songs on this album (I actually didn't realise until just now how high energy a lot of the songs on Clé: Miroh are lol). Yes, Victory Song is one of their songs. It's on this album too actually. Very excited to see you two react to it, it's one of my personal favourites from this album.
Funnily enough I though Miroh would be in my head all day but it's been "get cooool" on loop 🤣! Omg Felix 🤣🤣. I can't keep up! I swear we never know what we're going to get with them 😅🤣.

I love that y'all are keeping an eye out for the numbers! (8.01.18, even, because they added in the debut year. They like to add the year when they use the numbers on clocks, since they have that seconds spot available. For instance, this one here, or 3.25.18 on the analog clock in Christmas EveL.)
City Jungle is the city in SKZ's lore. Whenever you see a city or a cityscape (whether they're in it, like here or the Thunderous trailer; they're looking out over it, like in I Am YOU; it's in the sky, like in Hellevator or Maniac; they're on the fringes or it's near/behind/in front of them, like in Scars or Levanter), it's City Jungle. City Jungle is the music industry, more specifically the mainstream, established, controlled, expected path or way of doing things within the industry. That's why they show up in Miroh to glitch the system (and why you'll see a followup to that attempted revolution in the Highlight Reel, and why the new understanding and self-focus in Levanter will make sense).
Those are Chan's natural curls in Miroh, btw. Also, I'm sure others have already confirmed the haka element for you (as I recall, it was specifically provided by a choreographer of Maori descent, but I can't find my reference support for that rn). In addition, the chantlike elements that help make this anthemic were inspired by chants from (and I'm saying this from memory rather than rewatching the clip with this info, so understand that my specifics might be slightly off) I think Zulu culture. The song is meant to feel like a call-to-action anthem, and they drew audio and visual inspiration from calls to action/statements of strength in other cultures to support that impression. The dance practice for this song is particularly powerful and really highlights the haka elements.
The raptor (which generally gets ID'd as an eagle, but that screech is a hawk -- similarly, everyone clocks the lion image but doesn't know the roar is a tiger) and/or its sound makes it debut in SKZ's lore here, iirc. It's one of the subtle, occasionally recurring details you'll see in future songs/vids, like Thunderous.
Side note: I'm sure you've already been told that, yes, "미로" is the Korean word for "maze" and that SKZ added the _H_ for heaven/hell. If you ever rewatch the vid for their song "Mirror," pay close attention (both by eye and by ear) to the lyrics. You'll catch that they base wordplay around the similarity between the sound of the Korean "미로" and the English "mirror."

I'm certain everyone's mentioned that the dog is Berry. Also, the ot8 special video for Boxer is really good and definitely worth watching because this choreo goes _so_ hard. We even get taekwondo Felix for a moment. The making vid for the original street ver is also fun to see. The chaos is exactly what you'd expect.
You might know Lee Know well enough now to know that he's aware of the potential effect of his moan at the beginning and thinks it's funny. Yes, Victory Song should be on your radar very soon, if you're going in order. They spoil often. If you watch their lyrics, there will be all sorts of references to other titles, either directly by name or in some kind of recognizable rephrasing. Or they'll insert a visual spoiler, like the billboard for Astronaut in the Double Knot video. Or Chan will make a "typo" on bubble that, months later, turns out to have been a spoiler for a song title. Or Seungmin will be making weird poses in a Talker episode that turn out to be choreo or theme spoilers. Or whatever. They do this ALL. THE. TIME. (Ditto with choreo spoilers.) Even as recently as things like the lyrics in HEYDAY spoiling their upcoming MAMA collab with TigerJK, or them spoiling Case 143 choreo during Maniac concerts. Pretty much guaranteed that when the Japanese album releases in February, we'll be able to go back through their Dec/Jan lives, bubble posts, etc, and catch spoilers. They _live_ for doing this stuff. There's also cross-references that aren't meant to be spoilers, but rather simply easter eggs or inside references -- the lyrics about rivers and mountains in Boxer reference the lyrics in Miroh, for instance; lyrics in Cheese are pointedly about God's Menu and Side Effects; and so on. Put simply: They cannot be trusted. Assume there's a 50% chance that anything they say or do is a spoiler and they're chortling to themselves as they watch us try to figure out what's what.
Felix can kick like a boss, btw. He and Binnie both have black belts in taekwondo, and Lee Know has black belts in taekwondo, hapkido, and teukgong musul. Keep a close eye on small choreo details in future, and you'll see them put that training to use. Felix is always their designated handler of acrobatic moves. Binnie has a perfectly controlled kick at the start of Domino. The Easy choreo has everybody's legs going high. And there's more to be found hidden in other little moments.

Miroh is according to skz the song where they first went to openly challenge the world. Till this point they were learning who they are, now they are confident and going for the world! (it's pretty funny that they got their first win with this song). Kinda sad is... this leads to Side Effects, which you will get after getting to that song 😅
Some extra funny info about Miroh MV
1) In this song they sing about going higher and higher than anyone. In the Maxident album release Changbin said, it's not about higher anymore, it's about going further. I think this greatly shows how much they grw up.
2) ... some ppl notice it, some piece it after watching Astronauts, some after rewatching all MVs, but most ppl never realise... (so this could be spoiler but I think it mostly helps with the story)

There are 2 different I.N in this MV. One watching the screen and talking to someone through walkie, another being with others in the group. Chan gave us extra info once during one of his lives that I.N is the most important, key figure in this story and he is kinda like a prophet. You will see I.N especially acting suspiciously in many MVs, because he KNOWS.

The video of Miroh was "the beginning" of the CLE-Trilogy (CLE means KEY in Korean) And they have 3 albums in this trilogy! CLE1 Miroh CLE2 Yellow Wood CLE3 Levanter There is a story through those albums but i didn't dive deep into it, but you will see more keys and locks in these 3 albums!
Miroh was the song they made in a Rough time in their idol lifes because they had been debut for one year, and NEVER WON ANY MUSIC SHOW... So it's a rough jungle out there in music Industry... but WITH MIROH THEY WON THEIR FIRST WIN EVER!!!! If you search for the clip they are so emotional and always thankful to STAY!!!!
The dance in MIROH was inspired by the HAKA the Maori warrior dance (the New Zealand Rugby team does to impress the enemy (opponent) so its kind of... THIS IS WHO WE ARE AND WE FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHT TO MAKE THE MUSIC WE LOVE!!!
For Boxer the other version is a RE-RECORDING of performance video because I think after the CLE-Yellow wood album Woojin left the group... So they had to RE-RECORD the whole album that was planned to release soon after... Later in 2020 they released SKZ 2020 with a lot of older tracks RE-RECORDED with the 8 members... and switch the lyric distribution from some members... So they made new video clips for some of the songs!!! So some older songs have "newer" videos because they are re-recorded!!!

Get Cool is such a nice song to me. I always feel happier after I listen to it. It makes me feel like a little kid again with no real worries. Miroh is definitely one of my favorite skz songs, it's just so hype and powerful! As for Boxer I actually don't listen to it much, it's a little too busy for me but I love the video it's so chaotic and fun! 😊

Yes Victory Song in Mama 2019 is a must see performance. It is this Stray kid's Mama performance leads to their real victory to the Kingdom Legendary War competition. It is so spectacular.

I would watch both versions. The performance MV has the previous member in it but it’s still an awesome video. But the Mama version is simply killer. I’ve heard they were dissed by Mama and asked to perform close to the last minute after not having been nominated for anything. You can tell they were there to prove a point. And they did!

For Miroh... I did the same thing as y'all... The sound of the animal sounds like a lion, but it's actually a tiger that is being used for the song. I swear it was like my 4th time watching before I realized it was a tiger. 😂

Now, I know this is annoying long comment, but here is some info about *roles of skz in their storyline* . Please note that most are not confirmed, some are kinda obvious, but some are pure theories of mine and some other ppl. But maybe this can help you add some info.
*Han* represent the discontent. he is never really "present" in most their older MVs, he either leaves the group (Hellevator) or blends with other ppl (I am... trilogy). He is the lost member (if you watch album trailers, you will learn at which point he properly gets back to skz)
*I.N* is the prophet who is the only person realising from the start there are "parallel universes", who knows the story and acts behind the scenes (this was confirmed by Chan). He is working hard for skz, helping them find the best way and often risking himself.
*Chan* is like the leader he is. He is the one to leads in most cases, forms plans in MVs, starts actions (like their escape in District 9) and often "opens the door", which will become important in Clé trilogy.
*Felix* is like the confidence and willingness to be original. He is the bright side and the compass of skz. he represents their goals (in some songs you will see Felix literally holding compasses, once a broken one, which symbolises they lost their way)
*Seungmin* is like their recorder. He makes maps, links and takes photos. He is shown in many MVs writing some maps (like Miroh) or taking photos of others. In one trailer it was shown that he refuses to and can't re-create an art work of someone else, rather creating his own.
*Hyunjin* is like their trip itself. He is the most "human" in their story. He is the one who sometimes leads and pulls others, sometimes he is the one who needs to be pulled by others. Sometimes he betrays skz, sometimes he is the one to save them. He constantly progresses with the story, one song he is mean to other skz, next song he is kneeling in front of them and apologising. One time he is confident, another he is devastated. (he plays a big roles in clé (keys)).
*Changbin* is their urge to be original. He is the first member who gets frustrated about cameras watching them. He sees the person on the camera is not his real self, only a mask for masses. So he is trying to prove to the cameras that he is someone else than they want him to be. Changbin is also a member who holds another key.
*Lee Know* is the most unclear I would say. The most obvious fact is that he is hurt in many MVs (his face scarred in some way), he is also seen as the first one to rebel in the system, then being pulled by Chan. In some songs he is seen being chased by drones and cameras. He is also the member who burns one of the fake keys.
Tho, since msot is not confirmed, your own theories are fully welcomed. Please let us know once you figure something out or get some theory about anything in their storyline 😊
Get Cool is such an adorable song. They have a close up dance practice which is so cute and chaotic and them just having fun and playing around.
I'm sure other people have told you this, but MIROH actually got SKZ their first win!!! It's also the song that they used for their introduction stage in Kingdom: Legendary War, a competition show that Ateez participated in as well!
Victory Song is actually a song on the same album as MIROH and Boxer, so I'm guessing that you'll probably get to that one within the next two Stray Kids videos. It's actually really cool because in the dance for Boxer, when they say Victory Song they actually do one of the point moves from that song!

And the movement of the members bending down and the other member putting their head on their buttocks from the first screen is called pile driving(말뚝박기), a traditional Korean game. It's supposed to be a game where you put your head between your legs, but I think it's changed because I think foreign STAY would be surprised.

Aaah yesss the Clé series! Miroh is my favorite album of those three, but all of them contain bangers, honestly.
Both Awkward Silence and Get Cool made me appreciate the cutesy/nerdy concepts for SKZ. Something we don't see as much anymore, I'm hoping for either their Japanese album or maybe the other albums that are going to be released this year? (Idk if you've seen Step Out 2023 yet and if you're going to react to that. It's basically their planned Korean schedule for the next year.) Either way, they can still definitely pull it off (just look at their Season's Greetings 2023 pictures) so I'll appreciate these videos and dance practices as much as I can, haha.
You mention blonde Chan. I believe he almost had for the whole of Clé this blonde, coiffed, fluffy, longish hair look and I love it so so so so much. At one point, I believe during the beginning of 2020, Binnie, Han, Chan, Felix, Hyunjin all had blonde hair and they looked SO stunning.

Can't leave this comment without a (obscure) fun fact: Miroh obviously has a full choreo, but as it was brought in lineups for concerts, they made a choreo change, where they freestyle/interact with audience during the second verse. Mostly to hype with the crowd, but also because it's a very intense choreo. It's still funny to me that they try to use it when they do random play dance challenges and then collectively decide: "Concert version! Concert version! Concert version!" (even when it's verse 1, lol)
The boxer street version is... something else. Like I said: the street versions only get wilder and wilder hahaha.

Last time when you mentioned the city line,i immediately was like can't wait for them to see Miroh ; this was their first win and also the dance was based on the Haka (traditional warrior dance ceremony in Maori culture) that you see the New Zealand rugby team do before their match. Also yes,Miroh means maze. Miroh is still one of my faves,like when i need energy (same with Victory Song,which is in the same album).

Some people already mentionned that they are using some Maori dance (Haka) and I want to add a fun fact. It's actually the second time they use the Maori culture in their music, the first time was in Zone with some Maori words !
You pointed out the back up dancers and I wanted to say ! In the next title track you're going to react to (Side effects), the choreography is, first of all my favorite with my favorite dance break ! And second of all, they NEED back up dancers for this dance ! If they danced it without back up dancers they have to modify some movements and I don't know I just love that the back up dancers are included !
