A lot of prisoners forget how to read.
The whole rehabilitation thing isn't about giving them new purpose in life and re-education, its more a thing about, if you don't stop doing crime then you'll be back here and suffer
So the prisoner knows about Jiro Dreams of Sushi, but not how to use an oven?
