For her, the price is so out there that it could have easily been a hundred million and it would be just the same. At a certain point it's a matter of like, who cares, the price is a lot of money.
That girl seems uneducated, it does not take a genius to figure out why it is called a “Juliet balcony”... just a basic general knowledge. Also, overestimating the cost shows she does not know the market, yet lives in New York, showing she does not pay attention to what she is paying for.

@Tyler Durden Prices for luxury full service apartments can easily be $2k sq/ft. Water views in this part of town...comps are all over the place, but easily can be $2,500 sq/ft. Then add in the square footage of the double-height living room is a few hundred square feet even though it's just unused air that could otherwise be another floor. The parking garage seems like a cheesy gimmick that will be meaningless to the vast majority of people because it cannibalizes valuable living space and contributes to the absurd monthly fees. But someone with an exotic car would definitely value it, so add a few hundred thou for that. These have been difficult apartments to sell, but over $9m is a good transaction price for this unit.
@Tyler Durden True. Though in luxury buildings with parking, you park in a dedicated spot next to your neighbor's car. Not a random person. Aside from the garage, this is a $5-6M apartment. For so much of the apartment's value and building infrastructure to be associated with a parking spot that's adjacent to my kitchen doesn't sit right with me. But hey, it's not my money. And someone got a spectacular apartment.
Living room really did it for me. My final guess went up by a mil to 7.5 from just one pic, though I thought it's too much of my taste to objectively add more :D
