Beautiful work! I might go into woodworking now. I was wondering what the cut by the cup holder was...then you added the wine glass and I thought, “this man is a genius!” Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
You know, I've been watching this channel for a few years now, and the entire time I've been trying to figure out what you do for a living. Because as a skilled craftsman, decorator, documentary filmmaker, and musician, I've decided you're either an engineer working at some crazy company making crazy things, or you're a high school science teacher and your students make up stories about how cool you are.
Hahaha I truly appreciate that! I’m just a guy with too many hobbies. I work a regular job, computer engineer, but rarely do that kind of stuff as a hobby.
@@MeasuredWorkshop That's still a cool job to have. I know that I'm not the only one who enjoys watching your hobbies, so thank you for sharing them with us!
Masterfully done! I wasn't sure what the cut was by what appeared to be [and was] the cup holder, but it all made a lot of sense in the end. I could see this piece in some pricey, trendy catalog. Thanks for sharing!
I just came across your channel today and i've been binge watching your videos and so far I like what you have done. Out of curiosity what kind of wood was that you were using? I've never seen wood that dark before but love this great job!!!
Check the video description for a link to an Imgur gallery. I have some more detailed information in there. Let me know if I can get you any specifics!
@@MeasuredWorkshop I really love this piece and would appreciate it f you could share the specific dimensions or if you have any plans available. Relative noob at wood working so details would def help!
Didn’t you make a Reddit post about it? That’s where I feel I found the link to this video. I made my own version of that tray and am thinking about making a “lessons learned” post about it but it’s super important to me to correctly give credit to you. How do you want me to do that? Thanks again, my wife loved it
I'll upload an album to imgur after work (they block the access). I didn't have a band saw, so instead of having the end "shelves" curve with the front and back panels, they are just 3/4" thick all the way. Also, as it was my first project, it was suggested to me that I use pine instead of walnut and holly, I then used chocolate brown taint to imitate your walnut pieces. The biggest lesson I learned is that I clearly have to build my patience for sanding things ;) (a side-effect from watching too many accelerated videos)
Holy crap! Your execution of this idea is efficient and approachable and the results look amazing. Excellent work, this is great and I’m glad you followed up to share!
Thank you, I had a lot of fun with this project. The lumberyard where I got the wood usually supplies contractors, home renovators and condo builders (condos are popping up like mushrooms around here) in bulk, so when I asked for a 6'x1"x6" (front and back panels), a 2'x1"x8"(shelves) and a 2'x2"x10"(slats), the guy looked at me with a "really?!?" look. The hardest part was finding time so she wouldn't suspect what I was doing, so I had her friends book a few girls night out so I could sneak out to my dad's place to work. Now I've set the expectations pretty high for next year, I'd better get to it right now.
What a beautiful and practical item for your bathroom. And lovely no talking and no music.

Yep I posted it to reddit once I posted the video here! Let me see what you came up with, I’m excited to see another take on the tray!

Would be cool if you could give instructions
Раде всего святого, скажи, что ты все это сделал для жены !?
If you drink do not bathe, do not go drowning.
Mine works too. I used woodprix plans and build it without any problems.
