    As a short person, I have a lot of respect for you. I grew up riding small CC bikes in Asia and had a lot of fun with those. I was overwhelmed by the size and weight of the American bikes and the number 1 complaint are the bikes are too big for the average riders. Should we get the bikes that fit us so we can enjoy the ride better?

      I think it's important that we are comfortable on the bikes we ride starting out - maybe even flat foot. But as we gain experience and confidence, and as we learn that we can move around on the bike and slide to one side or the other when coming to a stop no problem, it opens our options up considerably. Once the bike is going, there's really no difference if you are short or tall - only when you need to put a foot down. As you become a better ride, you don't need to dab a foot nearly as much - meaning you can ride whatever you want to, as long as you know how to start and stop as a short person on a tall bike. Ride on, my friend!

    I love your channel and already started to practice ;-) I ride a BMW r1200GS. Although lowered, and I am able to bring both feet on the ground, my self-confidence is growing with your tips! Thank you! I am looking forward to the next video!

    Kandi, your videos are lifesavers! I just got a 750GS and will be practicing these skills.
    A question for you ... what kind of boots do you have? I’ve been looking for some boots and really dig yours.

    • @motoikandi
      @motoikandi  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good luck with the 750! My first GS was the 700 and I loved it. My boots are TCX Drifters - ridetcxboots.com/touring-adventure/drifter-waterproof/. I like them a lot, but I will likely go with the BMW Adventure boot next. They are VERY similar.

    Hi! I'm loving your channel. Could you give any advice about doing a U-turn on an incline? Forced into having to do one on a closed road recently and completely messed it up dropping my bike

      @@motoikandi I have now-thank you :-) I was on tarmac coming down a hill. Imagine a street like in SF and finding it's blocked off halfway. Where I'm in the UK I was on the left and needed to U-turn right to go back up. I completely stuffed it up-with an audience! 🤦🏻 :-)

    Does anyone know if Kandi is riding a regular or a lowered GS? Thanks

    • @motoikandi
      @motoikandi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was on a factory-lowered 1200GS in this video. I’m now on a standard height 1250GS
