The video did not disappoint 🙌🏼 I’m going to read The Bee Sting after I finish A Little Life (it’s taking forever😬) I’ve been reading and enjoying Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.
oh yeah the inception guys are a semi-popular ship. it's an age old fandom tradition to take two people who barely interact or don't even meet and create elaborate backstories for them and ship them. idk why, not for me personally, but whatever floats their boat.
OMG I was about to pick up the bee sting, because I‘ve heard only great reviews about it. But somehow the story didn’t seem to be my thing… now I am glad I didn’t 😅
I didn’t hateeee Bee Sting, but read it soon after it was on booker list and was pretty disappointed . Wandering Souls I found some beauty in, but also expected to love it and didn’t ; feel like it’s mostly about the loss of home and identity the displaced suffer
I didn't get on with Pyramids or The Prophet (both DNFs) and found Wandering Souls didn't quite work. Some of the best books I have read are true crime, but I only like a specific type - the ones that focus on the victims (such as The Five by Hallie Rubenhold) or focus on how notorious killers were caught (such Manhunt by Colin Sutton, which looks at how they built the case against the man who murdered Marsha McDonnell, Amélie Delagrange, and Milly Dowler). No interest in gory details or how perverse someone was.
Another great review video! I love hearing your opinions on such a wide range of books ❤
Thank you!! 😊
I totally love the variety in your reading!
Thank you! It feels quite chaotic at times, but I love it!
I love nothing more than a rant review!
Me too honestly !!
It’s up. Let me dive right in! ❤️🙌🏼
Haha yay, thanks!

Would love to know your thoughts! I loved Rebecca!
I love rant reviews! ❤
Same here!!
The Naomi Novik sounds great!
I’d highly recommend!!

That's so funny, I had no idea
Fury of the Gods! John Gwynne is excellent.
I NEED to read this series!!
I love your rant reviews. For some reason it makes me want to read the bad books and see for myself how bad it actually was
I know what you mean! I'm the same!
I recently read The Dispossessed with Chain Gang All-Stars up next - was great to hear your thoughts!
Ahh, excellent reads both!

I felt like I was crazy honestly! Had never seen a bad word about it 😅

I read Creation Lake and Enlightenment recently. Rated them both 3.5. Both had enjoyable aspects but not the wow factor.
Definitely agree on Creation Lake!
I didn't like The BeeSting much. The bit where the son was in danger was the best bit. I thought Prophet's Song was much better.
Yes I agree, he can really write action sequences which makes the ending even more disappointing!

Ooh makes me rethink if I want to carry on with Prophet, if you DNF'd as well. I think i'd feel the same about true crime, I hate anything gory!
