If anyone hasn’t seen it, Jen did a video where she had put a small turntable on the bottom of that Gina ink stand and it is fantastic! Amazon sells it in a pack of 2 and it fits perfectly!!! I just got glued it to mine and it’s so wonderful!

I began Halloween decorating yesterday! Shower curtains, orange/purple towels in guest bathroom. Will do the master today. Then put my "pumpkins on a stake" in my Sumac tree. The leaves are turning orange so it will look so cool!

Yes, the last few years I have no trick or treaters at all and in the pass I may have gotten one street family do it and that is all. Not huge in Oz but if I have a urge to make a Halloween card I make one for my friends daughter whose birthday is Halloween

But you show your mistakes, or should I say "happy accidents", and how you fix them. You're right...nobody's perfect. Yes. I use the clothes pin method for heat embossing. I saw that idea on one of your videos. I also heard about Gina K from one of your videos. Forgot to thank you for that. I never knew I needed a score buddy, Teflon bone folder, blending brushes and to say "boop" when applying sequins in a cascading formation. Thank you for sharing what you do and until your next card sesh 👉

I think we have the same dining room table but my grandma rarely used it and now I keep a table protector and cloth over the top so it's still pristine, however, we NEVER get to see the top. It is beautiful. Okay, no font talk. Your talk about you and Tim...years ago...you youngsters! Okay, I'm really missing that I missed the live chat. I so want to be a Chatty Kathy...are you old enough for her? Love seeing the mistakes. I say that's what art is...the mistakes are what makes it art and sometimes the mistakes make you make some awesome art. I'm done commenting for now...I can't stop.

As for the lady who was upset by your having a glass of wine - I guess I'm glad her life is so wonderful that all she has to be troubled by is that. You educate us and provide wonderful content, and it does not cost us a dime. We are not required to be here. If I am offended or bothered by someone on TH-cam I simply don't watch their videos, no need to make a big stink. Hey Cathy! If I wanted to start slowly transitioning to a new ink and matching cardstock line, and stop adding to my stampin up, what company would you suggest? I thought about Ginas, and I think Jen likes the pink fresh too? Not sure. I don’t want to keep buying stamping up when I’m not happy with the way they add colors for a short time and then take them away and they are actually missing some basic colors! Pink, primary blue, etc. so can you think about that and lmk? I have a few of the rainbow colors I just bought in oxides but there isn’t matching cardstock for those inks that I know of. Simons inks seem to be good and I know he has cardstock too but never hear as many ppl use it. Thanks for your suggestion. It’s a big move. I thought I’d add a little at a time. I also think Gina sells her cardstock in packs of 10, which would be great! I want a line with good color selection that doesn’t change regularly. Inks that smooth well and work well for water techniques like painting as watercolors, etc. thank you.
I am much more familiar with Gina's ink, so I have been a big fan for a while. I do love the Pinkfresh ones AND the Simon ones. The bottom like is: they all make GREAT ink!
Love the card. I was hoping you’d use red embossing powder but I have no idea how they’d come out - and they look GREAT!! (I had to speed through so maybe you mentioned that and I missed it.) I love Halloween products - and buy them - but I struggle every year about church. ♥️
Another wonderful card and technique…can’t wait to use the stencil technique. Would white craft ink or white gel pen work for the eyes? Embossing is time consuming when you’re making multiples-more than 5 cards. Thank you for sharing

Idea: once the stencil is made laminate it then die cut the shapes again and then run it through the laminator and it will seal the the openings then it’s easy to clean and reusable for years
that is SO smart!

Slightly buzzed crafting is nothing new I have had a glass of wine while being amazed by Gina on Gina K Live Monday night so hey let's do it!!
I've started flattening my die cut plates in the oven. I line a flat baking sheet w foil, place my plates warped side up and heat at 250 - 275 for about 10-15 minutes checking every 5 minutes. If they arent flattening bump the heat up a tiny bit. You dont want them to melt. After you remove them, they will be soft - dont touch them till they cool.
There is a new video on Jennifer McGuires channel WITH a chemical engineers explanation about why not to use an oven and why the boiling water trick works! I highly recommend watching that! It’s very interesting! You are breathing the chemical vapors of whats used in those plates when you heat them in an oven. Check out the video from Jen. You’ll be glad you did!
