Have you seen the full police interviews? And have you seen the more recent interviews with them in prison (in the documentary 'Lost for Life')? Long interviews with Torey's parents too. Incredibly, the parents now claim TOREY is innocent was was totally dominated by Brian. They claim Torey only though tbese videos were goofy pranks. The mom even wrote a book about Torey's 'innocence.'
“We’re going to make history” i literally never heard of them until now 💀
Edit: the scream movies aren’t based on them, they came out before they murdered, in fact they were inspired by the scream movies.
But you heard of them

Lol I was thinking the same thing. If it wasn’t for TH-cam algorithm I would never known and when I googled “scream killers” all I saw was the Movie listings 😐 RIP to Cassie tho.
Even if you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it isn't history. The people of the town and families will never be able to forget about this.
They thought they were gonna be the next Ted Bundy and got caught in the span of 4 days and nobody barley knows them lol
It's actually just so awkward watching these little boys think they are savvy, intelligent, superior and slick when in reality they are truly pathetic. Never heard if them until now.
Yeah it’s hard to watch or listen to anyone that are so narcissistic.
That's the cruel irony in videos like this.
The world would be so much better if we didn't even hear about them here, and they just faded away into forgotten obscurity like the failures and rejects they always were.
Instead videos like this give them the shred of infamy they craved their whole lives for, and in their twisted fuckednup world make it all worth it.
All that said I'm not bashing the uploader(explore with us), or the crime investigation genre as a whole. Just an observation and realization that it is what it is.
Why do people think it’s funny to kill someone whos done nothing wrong? In this situation it’s just flat out stupid
I agree. They were born evil, and deserve no compassion. Do to them, what they did to their "friends"
But you have heard of them
imagine if one of the teachers had caught them filming in school and had taken the camera and watched what was on it, that would have saved a life.
I was about to say the same exact thing
Definitely would
I thought the same. I think teachers should take the camera.from students just to brief check

I can’t imagine how scared she felt all night hearing those weird noises they made to lure her during their hiding but she tried to ignore…then those two assholes finally walk in while she’s falling asleep, like something out of a literal scary movie…wearing full Scream character horror costumes…I can’t fathom her fear…stuff of nightmares… it’s “playing” serial killer to them and she is absolutely horrified calling for help and begging for mercy in her final moments. So sad. No one deserves to die like that.

One of my favorite true crime cases. Brian’s stutter literally not allowing him to lie to these detectives is truly amazing.
That was actually pretty funny.
That’s a great point. I remember Mel Tillis, who used to sing brilliantly, but had a bad stutter when he talked. He said it was because the songs he had memorized..but when he was just having idle chit chat it was hard because he didn’t know what he was going to say yet. I’m glad you mentioned that point!!
How can a crime case be your favorite thats also disturbing

@the alpha & omega.....you need help.
I am the girl who wasn’t home- Dani dixon. I’ve remained silent as I remember that Cassie is the one who’s life was taken. Though I have been affected by what happened, I still live my life to the fullest. I am beyond fortunate to be here. They attempted more than once to take my life without my knowledge. Those sick fucks are exactly where they should be. Every September I think of Cassie and how she should be here too.
Were they your friends? Could no one ever guess these kids had twisted ideas abaout things?
@@maquacr7014 neither of them were my friends. In fact, I had never even spoken to Brian. Brian was in my first period class and that’s the extent of our contact before he committed murder. Torey I knew on a surface level from junior high a few years earlier because we did have a few classes together. We talked occasionally but we were not friends by any means. Torey signed my yearbook in 8th grade and he wrote something disturbing- he told me don’t swear, don’t kill animals and don’t kill anymore people. So in hindsight he definitely had some red flags of being off.
@@danisellers8300 Another question if you don't mind answering: how the hell did they find your address? And what gave them so much confidence that they can get away with killing someone in their own house because these types do not look brave at all? Did they knock on your door to figure out you weren't home? Also, were they charged with planning to fatally assault you since you only got saved because you weren't home?
@@maquacr7014 it’s not that hard to find where someone lives in a small town. I’m assuming they looked it up online or they may have followed me because I drove to and from school every day. They would park at the church next to my house and watch to see if the lights turned on and that night the lights were dark in the video because I was in fact gone, along with my family because I had a volleyball game that night. I know they snooped around the house because a few times in august before school I was in my room and saw a flashlight in my window well right as I was about to close my eyes and go to sleep. I ran upstairs and told my parents, but they didn’t believe me and no one went outside to check. I thought well maybe they are right maybe it was just headlights from the neighbors. Then about a week later, it happened again!!! the flashlight shining into my window well and I also heard voices. My room was in the basement, so I ran upstairs and again told my parents. Not surprisingly, They never went and checked. I have very neglectful and abusive parents so it’s not surprising to me that they didn’t go check but that’s a totally different story. When I figured out that my house was filmed by them on their tape from the police, I was shocked and I felt a fear inside that I cannot even put into words because right then I knew…..I knew that I wasn’t crazy….That light shining in my room at night the month before was them! As for the charges, The police told us because they had the videotape as evidence of conspiracy to commit murder, which is very rare to have, that it was unlikely they would need charge them for stalking me and attempting to take my life potentially. They were confident they would go to prison for life with the charges they had. They had a premeditated murder charge and murder against them, so in the end they didn’t need to charge them with what happened to me. I do think that negatively effected me though, as I felt very isolated and like maybe what happened to me wasnt a big deal after all because compared to Cassie it wasn’t. They also told me not to speak about it at school because it was an open investigation and they still weren’t 100percent certain about the charges that would be filed. I fell into the deepest depression and my anxiety was through the roof. Every day at school, I would be looking over my shoulder wondering if their other friends were in on the murder. I often wondered….do they want me dead too? I felt very unsafe, like I had no control over anything. I was offered free counseling from the court system for the rest of high school, but my parents didn’t allow that and unfortunately I never went until I was in my 20’s.
i´m so sorry this happened to you, i can´t imagine the pure fear this must have brought. I´m glad they weren´t able to get you, Cassie is in a better place now, take care love!

Definitely not thinking they're her friends.
There is NO WAY I mean NO WAY EITHER of these boys should be let out of prison. Even if they have remorse, they’re NOT to be trusted EVER!
The shot of Cassie at her locker is haunting. She's smiling and clearly friendly but at the same time, can sense....discomfort. I can't quite put my finger on it. She didn't feel comfortable in that situation to me.
I think she knew he was starting to obsess over her and it was annoying her cause he has a camera all the time too. She looks very annoyed to me in the clip and I'm sure she can sense the demons operating him, most people can even if they dont believe in demons.
honestly i was surprised they didn’t cover how uncomfortable she looked in that clip. she was being obviously dry trying to avoid talking to him
Yeah, that's understandable. Some creepy dude who has a huge crush on you that you don't feel the same way for comes up to you, recording you for no reason, would make me feel the same way. Dude was a weirdo let's be real.
But still invited them to hang out in a house.
I don't get it at all.
Imagine Cassie's parents seeing this footage!!! Heartbreaking. I cannot believe his mom wrote a book to defend her son. This makes the case worse... It shouldn't be allowed, they should keep LOW PROFILE at the very least!
But they're not doing good to him, helping him grow up and take responsibility for his actions, because no one will never believe he is kind of a victim. They are just very SPOILED dumb kids with NO RESPECT. Same with Chris Watts' mother defending him, when he had everything and murdered his all family, and now he wants to get out because he became religious, and he was fooled by the interrogators to confess lol.
I hope they lock them forever and we forget about them. They were old enough to know what they were doing. This case is known only because of the recordings, but they will never have fame like Bundy or Columbine. Why didn't they commit suicide like they claimed in the recordings? Too cowards and full of sh***. I even don't remember their names. Rip Cassie

Riep Cassie and prayers to your family.
Yeah seriously they wanted to copy a movie where the movie is about making fun of horrible movies how stupid and ironic is that. Truly pathetic.
To me, the scariest part of these tapes isn’t just the sadistic and psychotic nature of these two, but also the parts where they act like normal teenagers. The jokes the play on each other and the banter they share show that they are indeed human. And that’s terrifying.
Your comment just wow the way you put that in words

But human what??? 😳😳
Exactly. They think it's a kinda game and they really don't know what they're doing

It’s so sad that Cassie had a way out, but stayed because of her commitment to watching over the household. I’m sure Matt’s mother was horrified afterwards, but there was no way she could have known. All of the blame goes to the two killers.
they would have got her or someone else another day.
Same goes for Matt who might have wanted to stay but couldn't
I’m honestly about as worried about Matt and his mom coping with this, as I am for Cassie’s loved ones!
Even though no part of this is actually their fault, I’m sure they both must’ve had their minds completely racked with the guilt of a million *“what if?”* scenarios-after that terrible night!! 😔💔
But most of all, I’m worried about the cousin that found Cassie’s body!🥺
She was only like 13 at the time and excitedly ran inside first, to visit with her cousin….
I seriously can’t even begin to imagine the living nightmare of coming home from a trip, only to find one of my favorite cousins like that (in addition to Cassie’s body having been there a couple days before the family got home to find her).
I truly hope all of them have been able to come to terms with the trauma of their loss.
And that they have been able to find healthy ways to cope and to continue moving forward. 💔😔
I think Matt dodge a big one…..Could’ve been a Victim as Well😔 Unfortunately your Absolutely Right there’s NOTHING Anyone could’ve done, They were Disturbed individuals And would’ve done it to Someone; That Poor Young Lady just happen too be chosen🙏🏾 They are Exactly where they need too be!!!!!!!!
Sad case if Matt would of stayed they both would be dead. I hope Matt's mother doesn't blame herself nor Matt. But unfortunately they both are probably thinking they should of did something. But who was to know that these too sick individuals would do such a horrible crime to an innocent beautiful girl. I don't care if they had some mental problems. They knew what they wanted to do and they planned it so that's premeditated murder and should be charged for their actions. Mental issues are not. That was a vicious crime those sick individuals did
I find the way that he whistled while hiding from his teacher in the library was very interesting to me, it kinda shows how consumed by movies he really was, in reality whistling in a quiet library while trying to hide from some is obviously going to draw attention, but it's such a classic movie trope to whistle while being inconspicuous, it's frightening the effect I believe media especially violent/horror/true crime genres can have one someone, I believe they have to be a very specific kind of person for it to have that effect, but when that kind of person is indulging in it to this degree it contributes to something horrific in a very powerful way.
100% agree.
I’d love to know the name for that kind of person, I’ve met someone like this and it was just…very interesting to watch them in a weird way, like they wanted everyone to “know” they were the main character

It makes me sick to my stomach how they felt taking away someone’s life would please them. What was the point? They faced the consequences of their actions by spending their whole life behind bars. Did they earn something out of it? Absolutely not.
Poor Cassie. Rip
'They faced the consequences of their actions by spending their whole life behind bars"
Until they die we don't know that, there are people trying their hardest to make it so people who were not 18 at the age of their crime should be given lighter sentences. I've read about a lot of murderers and many do get let back into society, sometimes the government even protects them by giving them a new identity, house, car, job, all trimmings. Yeah, the government treats murderers better than they treat law abiding citizens. How nice. And while this is tragic, you gotta remember they only killed 1 person. They probably won't be behind bars their whole lives. I only just finished watching a video of a murderer who only got 6 years behind bars and guess what he did as soon as he got out? SHOCKER HE DID IT AGAIN. You'd be surprised by how quickly murderers are let back into our society. Some people spend more time in prison because of drugs.
He said I know it’s a wrong thing, he knows it’s wrong but tries to justify it being okay bc he loves doing it. Smh this was so disturbing to watch, they definitely will find out hell is real when they get there.
What gets me is that the footage of them talking about wanting to kill and their motivations behind it is that they think they’re making profound statements but they sound like selfish, stupid children.
Teenagers are always stupid one way or another. They think they know everything.
Well they are basically children.
Man children
Every time they would say something I would just go "EDGYYYYYYY"
@Tara Mcgavan hence the reason I said that they think they’re making profound statements but actually sound like idiots…
One specific thing I always think about with this case is how matt's mom must've felt when she heard what happened to cassie. When they told her there were strange noises happening in the house and that's why cassie wanted matt to stay, she probably thought nothing more than the two wanted some "alone time" and deemed it inappropriate for their ages. To hear after the fact that the noises were real and made by the boys who then proceeded to kill her that same night must've been such a hard blow to the chest. I hope everybody affected by their crime has gone on to heal effectively.
You can watch the interrogation of Matt, it’s actually interesting. Both Matt and his mom are very calm, not very emotional. The mom made a comment how this is all affecting them because she didn’t get to sleep…
@@redwoodtrail Where can I find it?
Leaving a girlfriend alone in a house, especially if she's in fear, is unbecoming of a gentleman. Judging from the available footage of Matt, he's not much higher on the worthless scale as these 2 clowns are.

I don't think I could ever work another case again. I'd have to retire after that case, maybe even before it's finished.
@@jeremy5602 thats why you aren't the one working as a detective, there are far worse cases that happens probably on a daily basis
@@mohdshahariar5833 Find me one other case of two average high school kids recording their story like this about planning out murders and then going through with it. No, this does not happen on a daily basis.
@@jeremy5602 its not about recording, its about the fact that uncovering how gruesome cases truly are, and it can be far far worse than this, you don't live in mexico or other crime infested countries to understand, shit is disturbing. yet a lot of detectives keep going, them honest men risk everything for justice

To me, it didnt seem like they were friends. She was visibly creeped out by them in the video and when she gave them a dirty look, whoever the cameraman was gave a little chuckle. Almost like to say "ha, that's exactly why you're going to die." I remember being in high school and there were guys who worshipped the Columbine killers, and whenever they said hi to me, I would give the same face and would have chills run through my body. To me, it seemed like she had a similar reaction.
I thought the same thing- she looked like someone who was trying to be nice but very clearly didn’t want a conversation with him when he was recording her at school
@@BabyBoy_Milo yeah and he and Torey was making a real life horror film on killing her which was very messed up too. That’s why Brian and Torey are both in prison too for what they did.
En she seemed busy at the locker. How else would they know where she was at? They visited her at night as well. Plus they had a camera. If someone runs up on me with a camera I’m going to feel uncomfortable
the fact that we could be going to school or talking to someone on a regular basis who is actually like those horrible kids is terrifying
Or the same kid who will kill u
stay strapped up I always carry it in my purse don’t ever count on anyone for your own life you need to take care of yourself always be aware and vigilant being a female and in school(university) isn’t bad but I get times where I feel unsafe so just be careful and always keep it on you if you die at least you took your killer with you the worst case is letting your murderer live.

Yeah. The last relationship I had, which was serious and I thought I might spend my life with him, ended up deciding he had to get this stuff out or off his chest and told me of the sickest things anyone has ever told me. My reaction caused him to assault me and now I have a protection order against him.
Nobody I don't think would ever suspect him, in fact he's the type that helps people out and has many acquaintances that think he's wonderful. There were definitely signs but he acts so well, even took acting classes. If he thought he could get away with some very bad crimes, he would. He literally told me this and what he wants to do. Makes me physically ill to this day. I went from being madly in love to totally repulsed in one night, which is disturbing too.
Only thing stopping him being a monster is fear of being socially outcast and prison. The biggest red flag was once he told me he didn't really feel empathy and only feigned it. I asked him about this a couple times but he brushed it off and convinced me he didn't really mean it... I met his mum and best friend who is the brother of his past partner he was with for 8 years. Apparently I'm the first one he admitted his true thoughts and desires to, as well as huge resentment at society for not allowing him to do these sick things. It's scary that's why I'm watching a lot of these videos to be more aware of signs.
Just to be clear it wasn't murder he was talking about but certainly involved hurting innocents, and he hasn't actually done anything to my knowledge but has the potential to if he got an opportunity where he thought he could get away with it. When he attacked me I had the distinct gut feeling he was capable of killing me which was a first for me. After I escaped he messaged telling me to come back, that I must be really horny after what happened, even though he said that I was not physically safe with him. He seemed to be in a very delusional state because nothing I had ever done or said could lead him to think I'd be turned on by violence. Thank god I wasn't out camping in some remote place with him as we'd done a number of times...
13+ million views later, they indeed became famous. Mostly because they vlogged the before and after. People will always be curious how killers minds work.
So. If he believes killing shouldn't be a law. Then you should be OK with death penalty.
They deserve to be killed tbh , the law is messed up
@Glib Glob i bet they wish they was dead now😂
@Glib Glob This is why they should be tortured.
I actually agree that killing, under certain circumstances, shouldn’t be a law. For example, if someone robs your house: you have permission to kill that thief
@@reyhamzah7565 Right.. but most people would just invite people they wanna get rid of then just claim they were robbing him.. 🤷♀️
I found nothing about their thought process interesting, or profound. I found it immature, myopic, and the hallmark of neurologically immature brains still developing with an unhealthy dose of the wrong influences. I think the teacher was spot on his critical thinking skills are quiet pathetic. Sure we can blame age, but I'm sure that's not the case. Most 16 year olds can reason out the problem of "legalized murder" simply from a Darwinist standpoint, and the fact these 2 kids hardly strike me as bullies, but rather bullied. Neither appear athletics or imposing for their age or in general, meaning even an average 16 year old understands the dangers posed to self-preservation. By extension they should understand the damage it would have to society, the workforce, etc - These are not complicate "adult" topics. 16 years are routinely tasks in school with topic for essays, and reports at this level or higher in regards to critical thought. The bottomline is both were outcasts, and well aware of their meaningless futures as below average in many areas of merit, and simple felt like the fasts routine to "fame" to them was to replicate an act shown to produce such infamy. Which again is a big fault on society for giving little shits like this, and other teenage bad actors screen time so that a new generation can be influenced by them. Not saying this video is apart of that problem, i think this format is well suited for educational purposes, and doesn't sensationalize their acts, i'm speaking more towards main stream media, and representation by other outlets.

These guys are just embarrassing and pathetic. I surely hope no one mistakes them for calculating badasses.
