I am an Northern Irish geologist teaching in Richmond Va USA and just want to say how much I appreciate the content and quality of your videos. They take a lot of time and effort. Please keep them coming! I know very little about mineralization so I am learning a lot from watching you. Good on ya! Great stuff. I owe you one 🍺
Nice video Nick and cool geology. I too have witnessed quite a few epithermal veins that appeared massive at first, but weathering surfaces revealed many generations.
Gday Nick, we'll be on our mine at Garnet, next weekend if your in the area, plenty of lumpy rocks to look at. While up here go to the old town reserves if you can, Calcifier, Muldavia, Emuford etc. Our favourite is Garrumba along the abandoned railway between Nymbool and Lappa.
Would be nice to have a basic graphic or drawing. I believe I followed the basics of what you were saying. Large volcanic formation left tin and other deposits and sunk down into sediment material. Would be nice to visualize what you are saying for people like me to follow along.
I have drilled and pulled skarn tin in Tassie and greisen tin in far north Queensflound and those were the most honest comments I have heard from a geologist in 45 years thieving rocks from dumps.
with all that sphalerite im surprised the gov isnt trying to remediate all those mines. around here anything with copper or zinc content gets remediated to protect the fish.

Thanks very much. When people take the time to comment, I know that I've done some good :)
I’m from Mexico and really loving your videos, I apply all the knwoledge I took from you, thank you very much.
That's great. There are some very close analogues of the Orient Silver veins in Mexico!
The best field geology videos out there. Thank you, I learn a little more each time I watch, so much to learn, so little time!
So many videos to make. So little time!
Your honesty is important and rare. At times what is "known" creates bias obscuring important data. Great Video.
If you are not prepared to be proven wrong on a regular basis, then geology probably isn't the career for you!
True, We should add "Science" as well. @@GeologyUpSkill

Yes. Weathering can be your friend!
Great talk! Loved the description of the emplacement. Very informative! Thanks!
Thanks very much. I like to make videos that cut complex stories down to the stuf that matters.

Doh. Just returned home today. Back in October.
👍
Thanks for sharing this content and your insights.
I have learned a lot from your short videos.
Cheers from Japan...
If you learned something, I'm happy!
Great doctor
Great work...pretty spectacular example 2:39
I was impressed!
I've been here! I remember steep hills, limited access, booming pants leg anomalies and tasty yabbies.
It's a very interesting place!
GREAT STUFF" KEEP IT ROCKIN" THANX" 4 POSTING!
Thanks for commenting!

I try to put animations in my longer videos, but it's a slow or expensive task so I don't always get there.

Honesty is the best policy!
If you have the time, it’s be great if you could explore some of the Chillagoe area. Amazing geology!
Thanks Greg. I'm really getting to like the geology here. Have to come back for more!
Red Dome was a geologist's heaven.

Given that it has been exposed over100 years, that horse has probably already bolted.
With mineralogy like that, a system like Petosi may be at depth.
Remarkably similar geology and geochemistry!
Cheers
Please explore himalaya India subduction with us❤
There is some great geology exposed in that zone. I'm sure there would be some great videos to make there.
epic
Thanks!
