Saw these guys live in Southern California maybe 5 years ago. It was hands down the best concert I've ever seen and Chris Anderson was the best guitarist I'd ever heard live- and in my opinion up there with the best of all time. They were seasoned, sober, prepared, and professional in every way.

I am glad Chris is back doing his own thing now, he's been pretty stifled and phoning in songs with The Outlaws, I was there at The Clubhouse when Hughie was hanging out with all of us and got Chris to join way back in the day.

That must have been after the band he was in with David Altice, Southern Express?

Nice solo, so much more enjoyable and fulfilling than those guys that blow their wad on every solo trying to play as many notes per minute as possible.

Saw the Outlaws many years ago with Molly Hatchet on Long Island NY "Key Largo". I believe it was after Billy left the band. In fact yes, Billy was not there.

Check out Rattlebone. Chris's new band. Kick Ass album. Glad to see he is out on his own doing his own thing again. You were at your best with Hughie. After that it was time to go.

I can't put these guys down because I have never heard them and what I hear sounds good. But to my mind, there are no Outlaws without Hughie Thomasson. Like Led Zeppelin without Jimmy Page.

Thank you Charles for sharing this video. The Outlaws are my favorite rock band. I think they are one of the most underrated rock bands in music. Chris Andersen is an amazing guitarist. The whole band plays so tight and puts on a great rock show. What song was the solo from. It sounded like maybe Trail of Tears?

Bob Mapleton...you are Spot on Brother! Caught the boys last Friday night in St. Augustine and again last night in Tallahassee, FL . Having grown in up in Tampa Bay, this is "my band." They sound as good as ever and since this was my 9th Outlaws show going back to about '78...I know what I'm talking about.

Chris Anderson and Henry Paul were both alpha males and could not get along , Henry essentially got Chris fired , even though Chris was a better guitarist , the band liked Henry's gravelly voice !!! ... if Billy , Frank and Flame were still alive Chris Anderson would still be there and Henry would we gone !!!

Chris is always smokin' great but this is his version of Billy Crain's truly epic solo on Grey Ghost from The Henry Paul Band's same named first album (1979)
