    This is very informative. Does it need to be in the shade or sunny location during propagation? How often does need to be water? Thanks for sharing.

    I’ve seen other tutorials recommend cleaning/sanitizing the knife before clipping the geraniums. But if you’re worried about spreading disease from plant to plant, wouldn’t you have to sanitize between each plant? Maybe that’s a dumb question but… 🤷‍♀️

    thanks for such a clear explanation, I need help on keeping then healthy they always die on me :( they rot and the main branch turn old looking. I will try your method, thanks.

    I had 7 healthy cuttings from their nodes but they all rot when propogating this has happened 4 times what is going on??? the soil is sandy and soil,

    I did cuttings once but it didn’t form the roots and got rotten. Why is that?

      I don't think there is a reason other than to keep them from wilting before they have a chance to plant them. I could be wrong.

      Roy - for the sake of not spreading false information - Pelargoniums are commonly called Geraniums by 99.9% of all gardeners, garden centers, and growers. Thanks for your reply. www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=338

      Geraniums and pelargoniums come under same bracket because most people still would rather call pelargoniums geraniums, I say no more.
