Great collection! Very nice video...my personal link to the LOTR trilogy is that me & my brother translated the movies, in 2001/2002/2003 + all the bonus materials for the DVD's for the Netherlands * Belgium...adventure of a lifetime!
Thank you for your kind comment. It took some trial and error to go with the Phillips Hue lights. I am a big fan and recommend them to everyone. They made a huge difference and you can change them to any color.
I have recently acquired a 200-plus piece Toybiz and Armies of Middle Earth collection. I plan on rebuilding the Toybiz collection and hopefully will find a large enough space to display the current collection with a Toybiz section too.
My LOTR collection has no statues, but my favourite piece is a set of first edition books I bought last year. Not first impressions of the first edition, slightly later ones, but I love reading those books in their original format, with copies of the first published maps.
Benjamin Schenk I have the United cutlery sting sword and the pewter nazgul one ring globe stand, which I’d be interested to see how much is worth as I have had it going on 15 years. I’d love the sideshow nazgul on horseback but they’ve sold out. The room looks great btw, not too overcrowded 👍
This is incredible ! To see how much you enjoy the whole universe is great. I can't imagine how much work, patience and effort it took you to gather all these items and display them in such a beautiful way ! I admire that.

Probably the GREATEST franchise unspoiled with politics etc etc.. Its wonderful. The music the artwork, the whole thing. What an amazing collection.. I have around 20 Weta polystone figures that I have not seen for YEARS... can't wait to get my hands back on them when they arrive in my new country. Benjamin, You have an AWESOME collection already.... but; If you have not seen or heard of the EAGLEMOSS LOTR collection I wholeheartedly recommend checking it out. I actually prefer a LOT of them over the Weta polystone models (both in paint and sculpt)...despite them only being >>2-3 inches
Ohh I forgot to mention... (if you can get new ones)... they come with REALLY nice magazines, all about each character. IMHO the best way to collect LOTR as they can ALL be displayed in a waaaaay smaller space... and NO_WHERE near as expensive as WETA models.
I have heard of the Eaglemoss pieces before and seen them on Ebay. I enjoyed the linked video of them. They are an amazing set. Thanks for sharing. The cave troll is 1/4 scale and made by a company called Halimaw.

I’m proud to say I have a bigger collection: I have the hobbit, and lord of the rings book. Boom beat that lol. Anyways great video and great collection!
Thank you. I am a huge fan of the LOTR Toybiz line. I believe it to be the best action figure line ever produced. I collected the whole line and it took up a huge amount of space so I ended up parting with the majority of it. I still have a bunch of my favorite pieces but don't have room to display many in the collection.
Sold your toy biz figures! Crazy. Just bought my first one since I was a kid tonight and hope to add more to a new collection. Great collection here though!
It was a tough decision. I still own some of my favorite pieces from the Toybiz line. If I ever get a larger space I may try to recollect the line. Thanks for checking it out and good luck with collecting the Toybiz line.
@@iceman.46 The top 3 pieces to get are Arwen and Asfaloth red box, the Australian exclusive Helm's Deep Gimli in the half moon box, and in the 3 spot maybe a blue box Arwen and Asfaloth or a blue box Gandalf and Shadowfax.
Hello! I have 3 Lurtz statues. I have the Sideshow/Weta Lurtz, the premium format Lurtz by Sideshow, and Lurtz at Amon Hen by Weta. The War troll is a Weta piece too. All of these pieces are sold out but can be found on Ebay or similar sites. Good luck on your search for them.
Your collection is amazing! I do have one question, do you have the limited edition life size helms? I was wondering if they did one for Gimli and the other helms. As a follow collector I highly recommend getting the high elven warrior shield. A beautiful piece and you have room for it. Gorgeous pieces!
Thank you! I currently have Sauron, Dain, Eomer and the Rivendell Elf Helms. I do hope to get the High Elven Warrior shield and the Gondorian shield too.
@Benjamin Schenk - can you point me in the direction of any of these mounted Ringwraith statues? I think they’re probably long gone, sold out, but where could one even look?
Thanks for your kind comment. I recommend starting with pieces or characters you are drawn too. I started collecting the Toybiz action figure line because it was cheaper than the statues. I eventually moved up but you can start anywhere with the art, United Cutlery weapons, Weta miniatures or 1/6 scale, snow globes, custom pieces. Good luck and happy collecting!
Nice collection this first time I saw that their is a lot things I need to buy can you share the site or shop where you got all these stuff so that others can enjoy having those . Again thanks for sharing such a collection
Thank you for your comment. I have bought most of these items from www.wetanz.com , www.Ebay.com . Weta still makes new Lotr statues but most of the statues I have are now sold out and can only be found on the secondary market. Good luck on building your collection.
Thank you! The poster I have with all the signatures was acquired from another collector. You can get stuff signed at Comic Cons as alot of the actors still attend them. You can always check Ebay and other collector sites for signed pieces. I would always check for a Certificate of Authenticity if you are buying a signed piece and not seeing the signature first hand.
I love seeing ToyBiz LOTR collections, but this is just amazing. I love that basement! XD You have quite a few beautiful pieces indeed! and a wonderful setup! btw. which Toybiz figure is right next to the vault? Another Helms Deep Gimli?
@@BenjaminSchenk Oooo! Noice! I gotta say. I'm purdy excited for the new Diamond Select LoTR figures. :3 Even though the old ones were great. I really wish I had the talking treebeard... XD
Thanks for the comment. If you live in the USA you can buy Anduril from www.budk.com as they only ship in the USA. If you live outside the USA, Ebay is always a great place to find LOTR pieces from United Cutlery.
A true LOTR collector would have a 1-1 scale Oliphaunt. Also, everyone knows the most dedicated/loyal LOTR fans are willing to go grocery shopping while wearing an exact replica of Gollum’s loincloth and nothing else.😬
Holy moly, that’s insanely awesome man. Crazy awesome. You need the keys of Erebor, and am wondering if you are collecting the Weta mini epic figures? Also Arwens Evenstar necklace?
Thank you for the comment. I do have the key to Erebor. It is in the corner near life size Gollum and the map to the lonely mountain. I also have Arwen's Evenstar necklace in the Elf case. I do also have a few mini epics but they are not on display in the collection room.
what is the better item to collect in your opinion, the elendil helm limited to 5000, or the isildur helm limited to 2000? I have found places to buy both at reasonable prices, but the elendil helm seems to be in a more limited supply for some reason.
@@BenjaminSchenk I was a kid when i first watched LOTR, i have watched the movies hundreds of times, literally, and they are imprinted in my head. My end goal is in the end to buy as many collectibles as possible, but have limited money at the moment. I really like both the elendil helm and the isildur helmet. If i have to choose between them, which i am pretty much forced to at the moment, i would want to secure the more collectible/ rare helmet, which i why i am asking you. Rarity is probably not just depending on supply, but demand as well. Neither seems to be super rare, but still im interested to know your opinion, if you have one, or if i could pressure you into having an opinion, what would it be? :d
Where did you get the Frodo standee? I seen it and some others like Gimli and Legolas together from The Tolkien Shop, and just wanted to know if thats where you got it from or another place.
Hello James. I do have both the Orthancs. The preruin and postruin. I hope to make a new video soon of all the advancements to the collection. I have checked out Iron Studios and there are a few great pieces. I have not decided on collecting them yet. I am waiting patiently to see what Prime One comes up with for their 1/4 scale Lotr line.
Amazing collection appreciate the video I actually have 4 movie props from fellowship of the ring and hobbit along with a screen print used for the movie and all 71 signatures from all cast of both movies on it my collection is small however all my items were gifts from cast members long story there I subscribed to your channel and will share pictures in the future with you 4 props I have from the movies are a piece of Riverdale set its a 10 pound mystic crystal from movie I have 1 of four of the witch King swords the one used in fight scenes the large key Bilbo kicked out side erabor and a chest piece of armor and shoulder piece all from the movies various coffee cups gadalf pipe all from cast members also I have a letter from gollum actor about all I have was the best christmas ever for me last year thanks to my wife the cast all called my screen print the one poster lol as they took it themselves to each actor for signatures themselves took over a year the cast members who have passed away had already signed it before they died years ago and autographed Tolkien picture with signature will try to contact you in the future nothing is for sale though many blessings to you from another fan

COLLECTORS GROUP and lord of the rings collectors. The last time I talked to the guy there were still some left which was about 6 months ago.
I bought many pieces new directly from Weta at www.Wetanz.com. I also found many on EBay, Craigslist, Offerup and similar sites. Good luck on your search if you start collecting the line.
Hey, maybe a weird idea but can we start a instagram/whatsapp group where we can share pictures of our newly acquired lotr/hobbit stuff, would be awesome to do! I also started collecting. Its still small but its getting somewhere! :D
@@roac2988 I would say the rarest 2 pieces are the lifesize Gandalf and Gollum. I spoke with Weta about the numbers on them and I was told they had only made and sold 10. They are open edition pieces and could be remade but they are 1 of 10's currently. My favorite piece overall is lifesize Gandalf by Weta, in 1/4 scale is Halimaw Cave Troll, in 1/6 scale it is Azog the Defiler on Warg by Weta, my favorite environment is the Argonaths by Weta, and my favorite art piece is the Hildebrandt Brothers Gandalf visits Bilbo.
Took me forever to track down the Argonath Enviroment amazing piece. So the life size Gollum is WETA?? Looking for the Isildur and Fili Dwarf both weta..... Do you have or know anyone who sells pieces?
Hello, great collection! Apart from the figurines of all sizes, do you have other LOTR-related stuff. I have an opera on LP. There also exists a Broadway Musical,.: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_of_the_Rings_(musical) ... and what about other things like board games, pop-up books... Could you please show us.
Hello. Thank you for checking it out and for your comment. I do have a large number of action figures and about 15-20 more art pieces from various artists not on display in the collection. I also have some board games and about 40 to 50 books about Middle earth in some way. I am working on restoring a 10-foot display case and I plan on making a new video with all the updated pieces in the collection. I have added well over 100 since the filming of this video.
Awesome collection It’s endless!I’m a wood carving artist and I recently carved the Eye of Smaug out of bloodwood if you get a chance check it out just keep in mind my videos are for memories so not quite youtuber quality
@@BenjaminSchenk oh wow. That is definitely smaug I didn't see the gold he was standing on. Just thought it was some lesser Drake. You need a bigger smaug!! Awesome collection though by the way.
I assume those basement windows get sunlight? If so, you're storing your books in the absolute worst place you could. Sunlight is terrible for books. FYI
It can be done with modest means if you search out the deals in the various parts of the internet. Building a collection like this is less about the money and more about the passion. You could go out and buy a complete collection and that is a different thing but to build it from scratch and formulate a plan to display the collection that is the passion. Where there is a will, there is a way.
The amount of jealousy that's coursing through my soul rn is unimaginable. A lot if those items are sold out.
when i get to heaven...this is gonna be in one of my rooms

Again thanks for sharing such a collection
Thank you for your comment. I have bought most of these items from www.wetanz.com , www.Ebay.com . Weta still makes new Lotr statues but most of the statues I have are now sold out and can only be found on the secondary market. Good luck on building your collection.
3:04 Really???? Me too!
You have no Noldor Elves busts and statues ? The golden warriors we see in the beginning of the trilogy at the battle of Mount Doom.
Amazing collection !!! How did you get the signatures of the actors?
XD
You have quite a few beautiful pieces indeed! and a wonderful setup!
btw. which Toybiz figure is right next to the vault? Another Helms Deep Gimli?
Thanks for the kind comment. It is a graded Faramir. Faramir is one of my favorite half-moon pieces.
@@BenjaminSchenk Oooo! Noice!
I gotta say. I'm purdy excited for the new Diamond Select LoTR figures. :3
Even though the old ones were great. I really wish I had the talking treebeard... XD
Hermoso saludo desde chile
Thank You Very Much!!
Amazing ! I really don’t know how you could afford that though. One statue is close to $2000
Thanks. You can pick up many statues for far less money especially if you are patient.
Wonderful collection bro! Where do you recommend I can buy an Amduril sword replica from? Thanks! :)
Thanks for the comment. If you live in the USA you can buy Anduril from www.budk.com as they only ship in the USA. If you live outside the USA, Ebay is always a great place to find LOTR pieces from United Cutlery.
@@BenjaminSchenk I will check it out. Thanks for the advice!
Wow amazing collection... are you selling up? Think ive seen your stuff on ebay
I am always selling some pieces on Ebay. I am not selling any pieces from the collection at this time though.
A true LOTR collector would have a 1-1 scale Oliphaunt. Also, everyone knows the most dedicated/loyal LOTR fans are willing to go grocery shopping while wearing an exact replica of Gollum’s loincloth and nothing else.😬
These statements are true. I hope to reach this level of commitment to the series soon. Lol. Thanks for your comment.
My advice when it comes to LOTR collectibles is buy what you like and can get a good deal on. I personally would buy both.
I’ve seen this museum is physical form, and I put on a helmet and swung a sword around
Where did you get the Frodo standee? I seen it and some others like Gimli and Legolas together from The Tolkien Shop, and just wanted to know if thats where you got it from or another place.
Hello. I found it on Ebay or craigslist years ago.
Orthnac? ... Orthanc, common dude. Also you seen some of the iron studios lotr statues, you picking any of them up?
Hello James. I do have both the Orthancs. The preruin and postruin. I hope to make a new video soon of all the advancements to the collection. I have checked out Iron Studios and there are a few great pieces. I have not decided on collecting them yet. I am waiting patiently to see what Prime One comes up with for their 1/4 scale Lotr line.
That "Orthnac" hurt me too. That one and "Morgul Lord" for the Witch King of Angmar 🙈. Probably just my jealousy shining through.
10 helms deep gimli is taking the piss Benny ive got 3 and missed out on few
I actually have 13 and have the 10 on display. I pick them up when I can. I also have probably sold 10 or 15 to other collectors over the years.
but I'm first and foremost the FAN of star wars, and later I will have a huge piece like you, where we will literally enter star wars
I just wanna know where did you get the swords ?
I got most of them from Ebay and Budk.com.
It sounds like an awesome collection. Please feel free to email me at benschenk81981@gmail.com. I would love to see some pictures of your pieces. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for your comment too!
@@BenjaminSchenk for sure I will soon be nice to chat with another fan

Where did you find the Halimaw 1/4 scale cave troll
I bought it direct from the guy who got the ball rolling on the piece with Halimaw. If you are interested in getting one, you should check out the facebook pages H! COLLECTORS GROUP and lord of the rings collectors. The last time I talked to the guy there were still some left which was about 6 months ago.
Do you have haradrim warior ?
I do have the Haradrim Soldier statue by Sideshow/Weta.
If you should ever want to sell a piece of this amazing collection for some reason please contact me :)
im 11 years old and i love LOTR but were do you buy this stuff
Hello. I buy a lot of the stuff on Ebay and www.Wetanz.com
I'm guessing you're a Lord of the rings fan, right?
where did you buy all those lord of the rings character collection?
I bought many pieces new directly from Weta at www.Wetanz.com. I also found many on EBay, Craigslist, Offerup and similar sites. Good luck on your search if you start collecting the line.
@@BenjaminSchenk ok thanks. im from the philippines.
@@BenjaminSchenk what's the website for craiglist and offerup?
Hey, maybe a weird idea but can we start a instagram/whatsapp group where we can share pictures of our newly acquired lotr/hobbit stuff, would be awesome to do! I also started collecting. Its still small but its getting somewhere! :D
This is an excellent idea. I would enjoy something like this.
Benjamin Schenk you got InstaGram?

Can you help me find ISILDUR 1/6 weta where he is holding the ONE ring?
Your best bet is to keep an eye out on Ebay, check out the Lord of the Rings collector page on Facebook, or the Flame of Udun forum. Good luck.
Thank you.
2 questions; what is the rarest piece in your collection.
And your personal fav of all the pieces.
Could you emphasize on the weapons a bit more ?
Hello, great collection! Apart from the figurines of all sizes, do you have other LOTR-related stuff. I have an opera on LP. There also exists a Broadway Musical,.:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_of_the_Rings_(musical)
... and what about other things like board games, pop-up books...
No smaug figures??? Didn't see one
I have a Smaug statue at 12:35. Check it out.
@@BenjaminSchenk oh wow. That is definitely smaug
I didn't see the gold he was standing on.
Just thought it was some lesser Drake.
You need a bigger smaug!!
Awesome collection though by the way.
I assume those basement windows get sunlight? If so, you're storing your books in the absolute worst place you could. Sunlight is terrible for books. FYI
Thanks for the suggestion.
U have to be semi rich to have a room collection like that. Which is why us avg folks are so jealous
