      Thanks for the feedback. My goal was to find a simple system that carpet cleaners could easily bolt onto their existing business. The Bonastre Polishing system is the best thing I've been able to find to meet that goal. I hope it helps you in your business too.

    What about to lighten the travertine floor, I mean any chemical that makes like a white wash to take out the orange and be able to polish it.

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Terrazzo is a mixture of 70% or more coarse marble aggregate and 30% or less Portland cement. Portland cement is porous. So if staining permeates an unsealed terrazzo floor (which is actually fairly common) there's no good way to remove the brownish orange hue.

    How to get terraso machine ?

  • @qualitysteamcarpetcleaning1710

    How many SQ Footage does 1 pad cover. Got a 1200 sq of Tarrazo floor to do. Also I got a Orbot Vibe that im going to use the pads on should I put the 40lb weights on for added pressure or keep it off. Thanks

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You should be able to cover 1200 sq ft of terrazzo with a set of pads without a problem. And you should be able to do it without any weights on your Vibe. Go slow and make multiple wet passes with each pad. Be careful not to stand in one place because you could over-work the floor and dig in too much. Squeegee and/or wet-vac the floor between each session. And you could dry buff it at the end with bonnets to remove any water-marks or haze. Let us know how it turns out.

    Rick I am buying this set from you to do a floor but need to know how to get the shine to match on inside corners ? What else do I need Thanks Jim

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jim,
      Keep in mind that to be able to discern the level of shine, light needs to pass over the floor. So in a corner, the level of shine will be fairly undetectable. But to bring up the shine in corners a very simple approach would be to apply sections of Bonastre pads to a triangular shaped palm sander (they have Velcro-type backing). Lowes sells 'em for $20... www.lowes.com/pd/WEN-1-Amp-Electric-Detailing-Palm-Sander/1002921320

    • @robertscorpio8432
      @robertscorpio8432 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If these pads work on a Sander - they should work on the Oreck Orbiter 13" ....
      OR should I buy 8 " pads and get an 8 " pad driver for my polisher buffer at 600 speed and do it that way ?

    Hey Rick, will then pad system get as high gloss as disc with paste?

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they produce an insane shine. The only limiting factor is if the floor has deeply embedded scratches, which would require grinding with traditional diamond disks.

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can achieve a shine with these pads that doesn't require powder polishing "paste".

    Hi, would this three-pad system work well on old terrazzo floors in an airport with high traffic?

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely. It works great on terrazzo. The Bonastre Duo pads would also be a possible candidate for routine maintenance on terrazzo.

    Can we fix these to my Cimex I use for carpet cleaning ?

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely. That's why we brought the Bonastre System onboard. To enable the typical Cimex carpet cleaner the ability to add marble / terrazzo / concrete re-polishing to their service offerings. We wanted to find something simple for polishing hard surfaces (like encap is for carpet) -- and this system does that. :-)

    Hi Rick
    Can I use granite powder with the bonastar pads? To give it more gloss polish?

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Using polishing powder is not required. The 3 pad system is all that's needed to bring up a gorgeous shine.

    • @moosenz_1kefs351
      @moosenz_1kefs351 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      can it be used together though? If I wanted to?

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@moosenz_1kefs351 I guess you could do it with the green pad, though you'd likely clog up the green pad with the slurry and kill the pad in the process. Polishing powder is normally used with a soft buffing pad, or a hog hair pad. That would be a better option.

    Question, After the Bonastre steps, do you recommend a sealer for high traffic floors and where a large breed dog walks on?

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A good penetrating sealer can certainly help to protect a polished floor. Stone Pro Pro-Sealer is an outstanding sealer that's worth considering. excellent-supply.com/products/stone-pro-pro-sealer-impregnating-sealer-1-gallon

    Number of last green polishing pad?

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are no numbers for the Bonastre pad system. If I were to approximate, I'd place the green pad somewhere above 800 grit. But there isn't a numerical equivalent. It's simply 3 pads that will take the floor from start to finish.

    Hi Rick, where can i get these pads in 5"?

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't think the Bonaster pads can be purchased in a 5-inch size. In fact, we had to make a special request to pull strings and get them in the 8" size for the Cimex. Here's an idea though... You could purchase 17" pads and cut them down to 5-inch pads using household scissors. You'd get at least five 5-inch pads from a single 17" pad.

    • @EncapTV
      @EncapTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soapstone is a very soft stone. It could be polished with extreme caution. In other words, go easy on it. The polishing pads that we discussed may be too aggressive for such a soft stone.
