    That seems very helpful. thanks
    I am just now looking in the market for a wet polisher for use in the UK, do you know if the makita pw5001c is available with a UK plug, and whether or not this is a good choice for the home user doing composite resin pieces (crystal impregnated resins) ?
    Most of my stuff comes out the mold fairly flat but never perfectly mirrored and there is often overspill from a surrounding frame from a different composite colour. So, if the stuff is usually flat would a three pad set along with an asymetric 3000 or higher for the final polish and a 50 grit to remove the overspill be enough you think?

    How does one tell if a stone is engineered... I found thousands of square feet of random cuts from a Kitchen design company on Craigslist... It's all mine now. And I have projects to do. My guess is that most of it is engineered with some obvious granite and basalt... But I can't tell the difference between marble and engineered.

      Engineered Stone - a composite material made of crushed stone bound together by an adhesive to create a solid surface, (most commonly polymer resin, with some newer versions using cement mix).
      Terrazzo - flooring material consisting of chips of marble or granite set in concrete and polished to give a smooth surface.
      Travertine - a common natural stone that is used in bathrooms. Unpolished travertine stone has a naturally nonslip texture.

    What are the materials from which the marble polishing powder is made?

    • @BBIndustriesLLC
      @BBIndustriesLLC 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for your question Mohamed! Since most polishing powders are proprietary, only the manufacturer can answer those questions. If you have a specific manufacturer you're curious about, let us know and we'll try to help.
      In case you're interested, there is a video on our channel from a few years ago where we demonstrated the process of polishing marble floors with polishing compound:

    I understand you guys are doing this video with the idea that individuals who are brand new to the industry will be your primary audience. However, even for the aforementioned scenario, many of the explanations come across as needless and imply a predisposed assumption of the viewers ignorance and stupidity. Much of this information is quite self-explanatory, and rather than appearing to convey this information to a monkey instead of a human, you could have introduced the topic with a brief summary, subsequently continuing onto a scientific breakdown as to what is occurring in the most minute of aspects within the polishing process.
    As I said earlier, you have hardcore rookies in mind so I understand your thought process behind this ideology. However, despite your amicable intentions, not only did you fail in accomplishing this goal, you also turned off countless viewers by making them feel as if someone is explaining how to breathe to them.
    Other than that, I loved the video! You had great cadence, body language, pace of speaking, confidence, the list goes on.
    Thanks for the great video!

      Hi there Daniel, thanks very much for your critique. We can certainly see where you're coming from and acknowledge that you're 100% correct -- this video is designed for the hardcore rookie at best.
      We're working our way up to more detailed and more specific content. Since we can see that you're quite experienced, we would absolutely love to collaborate. Would you care to reach out to us at feedback@bbindustriesllc.com and ask for Andrew, and we'd love to hear more of your thoughts on this!
      Thanks for your comment, your views, and your business!
