  • Welcome to Darren from Adventure Me, our latest guest vlogger, who visited us earlier this season and in collaboration with Blackpool Pleasure Beach, created this video all about the History and Secrets of the Pleasure Beach Express.
Darren was given permission to film behind the scenes and on the PB Express using tested and approved equipment. Please do not attempt to film or photograph while on any of the rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
If you enjoy Darren's unique look at our Pleasure Beach Express, you can see more of these fascinating videos exploring all things abandoned, historical and nostalgic.

Great series of videos. I've always liked miniature railways. I didn't know Blackpool had one. I've been to the Scarborough one that also has Hudswell Clarke locos. Steam outline normally seems a bit pointless to me but these Hudswell locos are so charming that they have their own unique appeal. Shame they don't still have the 4th bridge. what a cool concept on a mini railway. Poole park mini railway in Dorset recently been re-built. I wrote several emails to the council suggesting things like a fake signal box, girder bridge style bridge, etc, to make it interesting. All they've done is re-laid the track and bought a super boring 0-4-0 battery "Steam" loco. big missed opportunity I reckon.

Who remembers when the railway ran alongside the monorail after it came down to ground level near to the south entrance?
And one year live steam locomotives visited from the Ravenglass railway.

Makes me wonder whatever happened to the original driver when I was a kid, he was very famous (as the driver) - he was a short guy, drove for years and years 👍🏻

Little Teddy. Unfortunately, he died a few years back after 30 years of service.
