All my favorite van lifers are quitting and its so sad to see. But it makes me realize that maybe van life isnt something that lasts forever and here i am wishing i could give everything up including this big ol house i pay for each month and all the utilities. Its just really not worth giving up to quit in a year or however long its gonna take me to realize what I need in life.
Maybe its the traveling that gets me so essssited. So im gonna keep the big old house and buy a van to travel and then come home ❤

Not sure what channels you watch but I know of now 5 van lifers that have quit or soon to quit . Just means this lifestyle is hard. It isn’t a long term lifestyle. Sure nice to do it for a year or two. My van life is more or less permanent unless things unforeseen comes up. I’m single and don’t see me ever dating or on a relationship

I suffered from migraines & fatigue in my early 20s. I finally realized it was MSG & preservatives. I started eating very clean at 25. I’m now 40 and feel like I’m in my 20s. Maybe your migraines are coming on more due to more takeout food. Love your videos & hope you feel better.
Please take as long of a break as you need. We'll always be here when you get back, even if it's literally next year. Take all the time you need.

The main characteristic of life seems to be that it is an alternating series of ups and downs, one following the other as night follows day. You might simply be worn out from the trials you have faced while living the vagabond life and the pressures of creating YT content. I use to have horrible horrible headaches, sometimes migraines. Found out mine were from dry eyes. I use eye drops daily now and it has helped 98%. I hope you find something easy to take care of yours. I know it's a horrible way to live. Take Care!
I think that it takes more courage to cease/postpone an adventure than it does to continue on if it puts one at high risk. Best of luck getting back into travel shape. You will know when to resume.

My mom used to tell me to listen to my body, it tells us what it needs and I know this to be truth. Listen to your intuition and do what you need to do to take care of yourself. I am a fulltime nomad myself and I have been stationary the past few months home in Louisiana and the mountains are calling. I start my journey west on Saturday. I'll catch the eclipse in Texas and then make my way to NM. Namaste Alyssa

I have been hospitalized for kidney failure and congenital heart failure this winter , spent a total of 3 weeks in the hospital and another 2 weeks in physical therapy rehab. I am still in Quartzsite and plan to travel around AZ. a little before heading east in June.
If I can do it with My health at 59 You can do it! Don't let health problems steal Your dreams.
I wish I had hit the road when I first got the urge but I put it off for almost 5 years trying to get healthier.
Like I said before just follow Your dreams. A bad day on the road is still better than a bad day inside 4 walls!

I'll share something that Worked for me. 1 year ago i took charge of my Life after being Sick off and on with COVID. since beginning of COVID I developed and diagnosed with few Autoimmune D/Os. Severe hypertension only medications could bring down. Thyroid disease and a few others. I was on medications for 5 years! So again, 1 year 3 mos. ago I Went on to start with KetoCarnivor and slowly came off some meds. Lost some weight too as I was very overweight. Then went Strictly Carnivore and lost rest of Weight and am off ALL 5 MEDICATIONS and No More Disease. I haven't felt this Healthy in Years. Now over 1 year, again no meds and no diagnosed Diseases. Maybe it's something you can consider. Research Research Research and don't believe the NaySayers." 🩷🩷🩷

Seeing is believing… so you damn right I believe! Native Texan here that’s been all over TX & did the road life thing in the 1980s. I had an old Dodge truck and Holiday rambler travel trailer. I share your love for Northern Arizona. But I let Health issues in my early 30s take me out of the game and go back to the city and my whole mainstream life which I regret to this day at 62. So resist making that mistake, sweetie. Hang in there! Whatever you do make sure wherever you hang your hat that you are free because you cannot be free in the city… no way, no how. I got trapped until 2 1/2 years ago when I finally said enough and I sold it all and I bought a little half acre homestead with a tiny cedar cabin nestled in pines on it. every time I open my front door I have to remind myself that I’m not a kid again on my Girl Scout camping trips When we used to come out here to the Pine Forest of East Texas. Have you ever seen the section between Lake Sam Rayburn, and Toledo Bend Reservoir? It’s like going back in time 30 years. Once I came out here to live, I started seeing some things in the sky. I took some advice to get infrared night vision binoculars… the kind for Skywatching, not goggles. I got the flight radar app, and the satellite tracking app, in order to rule out common objects. Anyway… That’s why I said seeing is believing. I don’t need permission from any government to tell me that I can believe in what I’m seeing.
I especially loved your music selection in this video, and I can’t believe someone your age would pick those songs. I think that’s what put this video over the top for me as your best video so far. I too have eclectic music tastes.
Good luck whatever you do. I’ll keep following you as long as you put out a video. You amuse me greatly. such people as we are, don’t come around very often and usually we get beaten down by the world into submission and into hiding. I like it that you’re not going quietly into submission and letting everyone influence you, but you are influencing others in the ways of a free spirit. Things would’ve been different in my day if I had the same access to technology that you do. So I kind of watch you for weird reasons that I wow see how’s I would be different if I had all this tech when I was road tripping. I hope that you just keep kicking it around the way you have & exploring things for whatever reason you want to explore them. Just always take some time out to look up when it’s clear skies and watch the others who are here “road tripping” as well. ☮️

I don't know what they are or, who they belong to. But I do know they are up there. People should look to the skies more day or night, maybe you will be lucky enough to see the watchers as well. After traveling in Mexico for the past five months, I crossed the border into Texas on Friday and am working my way west to visit family. Ironically, I drove by Prada Marfa today and can confirm the winds in West Texas were still crazy strong. Hope the days ahead are full of richness and joy!

Not being able to do the things I watch on YT because of my health issues has been a sad reality for me the last couple years. Then in this video I seen you doing something so simple, sitting on a rock in the west Texas mountains. I didn't even realize I craved it so badly until now. That is something I can make happen. I don't care for the word "Disabled" but since my abilities have become limited, I have fallen into the notion that I cannot do anything I once loved anymore. Seeing you sitting on that rock in the hills reminded me that there are so many simple things I can do and the actual purpose is just to get out of the box I put myself in. I was an oilfield worker and I have been through thousands of miles of back roads / lease roads in west Texas and NM (I live in Fort Worth). I already know where I can start. I now have a goal, thank you for the videos. See ya on the next one!

Yep, I've seen alien craft and thought nothing of it as there were so many sightings around the same time in NZ. I found constantly needing to move on and feeling unwelcome in my van was bad for my mental health. It changed my life to accept paying rent. My endless horizon is in me. I found acupuncture totally cured the tension in my body. Good luck. Yeah, the good times on the road were great! Looking forward to being able to support some road camping in the future while keeping my professional development happening. You've got that sorted with your channel - great job Alyssa!

I’m so sorry you’re still not feeling your best! I have what’s called crps (complex regional pain syndrome) since 2009…I woke up from surgery feeling extreme pain, that I still have to this day. I feel like I’m being struck by lightning 24/7……it has never stopped or decreased. Things like the wind blowing and road vibrations make me hurt more, if you can believe that! You need to do what’s best for you, your body, and absolutely, your mental health! The people who truly love you and your channel will still be here for you, no matter what! Sending prayers and soft hugs for healing and strength.

I really appreciate your openness about your health issues. I also struggle with health problems and it’s been a big factor in my decision making process to do van life or not, so I really appreciate you’re honesty about it being an aspect of your experience. Especially as a younger person since people usually associate managing health issues on the road as something that just older folks have to think about. Proud of you for taking care of yourself and know you’ll find a balance that takes care of your health as well as your desire for adventure ❤

I am happy for you, Alyssa. I could never do van life as I like to have a bigger space to live in and relax in but to each their own, I guess. Van life looks lonely but I get the freedom part of it. I totally get this! I actually live on the road full-time BECAUSE of my chronic health conditions! I'm on disability and completely on my own as my family are totally unsupportive so I cannot afford to rent a "real" house. So my "house" has wheels and my home is the road as there are no permanent places to park up anywhere here in Australia anymore. People comment on my videos all the time about how "lucky" I am and tell me I'm "living the dream" so much so that it's become my mantra now! That and "I wonder what the poor people are doing?" Which is a joke, of course because I AM the poor people! It's not all glamour and adventure (although it can be that at times) and sometimes it's really dang hard and exhausting and I get burnt out and discouraged often. But I'm Tonka tough and I have no choice but to soldier on. Watching other TH-camrs like you living this lifestyle and keeping it real is an absolute lifeline to me and makes me feel less weird and alone in the world, so thank you for being real ❤
