As a straight Christian, I have struggled with my faith over the homosexual issue. I have so many gay people in my life that I love, and I just could not understand how homosexuality could be a sin, literally tormented myself over it and almost lost my faith over it. My father and mother in law has even disowned my husband and I over my love and care for my gay friends and friends and family. Thank you for this work. I can’t wait to see this movie and maybe get a handle as to why God has placed this issue so heavily on my heart. ❤

    I just watched this video...
The church I was attending tried to convert me from my sexual identity...
Needless to say I don't attend that church anymore...
To be told I won't go to heaven broke my heart and scared me to the point I was a mess...
    Thank you for this movie...
This knowledge of the bible being changed, has turn my life and faith into something beautiful again..

Once again, the Bible is clear that it is not for mortals to pass judgement on who goes to heaven and who doesn't. Grody. I'm glad you moved on to a church that might actually aspire to the Golden Rule.

It doesn’t address the verse in Romans. It mentions it, but kinda just skips over it. I think that verse is very clear. You can say the others are misinterpreted, but how clearer can it be than “the women gave up the natural desire for men, likewise the men gave up the nature desire for the woman.” You can say it’s actually about lust, but I don’t agree.

@@TotallyxKatiee Let's suppose your premise is correct, that there's one unambiguous condemnation in the Bible. OK. The same is true of remarriage after divorce. So why is that COMPLETELY IGNORED by Christianity writ large? Then there's the aspect of, the unambiguous teachings of Jesus. Love your neighbor, especially the weak, sick, poor, and ostracised. Don't be judgy, but treat spiritual authorities with critique and skepticism. And the Golden Rule. All of that pretty well overrides the hill that Evangelical Christianity seemingly wishes to die on, don't you think?

Both my wife and I grew up in pretty conservative (i never thought of it as fundamentalist, but I would call it that now), homeschooled, evangelical churches. We met when we were both in the process of moving away from that. Now we're at a Lutheran church with a lesbian pastor, and next week they're showing this film at the church. We've had a lot of headbutting with our parents, and some with our siblings and extended family and older friends we grew up with as well. There are numerous anecdotes I could share that accompanied this journey, but I just wanted to share that I'm encouraged to hear from some fellow travelers. Thanks for this content.

I haven't seen the movie. But there are many references in the Bible that condemn homosexuality. Whether Leviticus, Exodus, or St. Paul. Having said that, there are ZERO references from Jesus himself, who was pretty plain and clear. The oppressed, the poor,, the sick, the marginalized should be embraced and loved and 'spiritual authorities' should be held with great suspicion. So should people who virtue signal their religion publicly. I'm not really sure how so many are so utterly blinded to just how utterly contrary their views are to their own holy book. What a shame, cause the world needs Jesus, and definitely does NOT need Evangelical heretical nonsense.

THE REAL TRUTH IN THE BOOK HAS BEEN OUT SINCE October 28, 2021
THE 1946 PROJECT: The Supposed Mistranslation of “Homosexual” In 1 Corinthians 6:9
The claim is that in 1946, theology, history, culture, and politics led to a biblical mistranslation of catastrophic proportions. Supposedly the 1946 movie is a revolutionary documentary that chronicles how the misuse of a single word in 1 Corinthians 6:9 changed the course of modern history. The 1946 Movie says that their research was “a journey which unveils the mystery of how theology, history, culture, and politics led to a Biblical mistranslation, the man who tried to stop it, and the impassioned academic crusade of the LGBTQIA+ Christian community-driven to discover the truth. More than 45,000 churches today still preach that homosexuality is a sin, citing biblical references that condemn “homosexuals.” 1946 Movie asks, 'What would change if churches discovered the truth - the word “homosexual” was added to the Bible in 1946 by mistake?’ Was it added by mistake? Andrews, author of 170+ books in THE 1946 PROJECT, will investigate this claim and see if the filmmakers discovered the truth or created their own truth.

It had to be a mistake. There was no word for homosexuals in oine. There were words that referred to specific acts, but if these are to be taken at face value, than all the Kristian Karens out there better keep their heads covered, and keep silent in church. All the good Christians better share all their possessions in common, as in Acts, or face destruction by the Holy Spirit. I find it amusing (and disgusting) the way you latter-day Pharisees pick and choose. At best you are a bibliolater, at worst an agent of Satan's hatred.

I would say you could pose the same question to a lot of Christians that show hatred towards people that don't agree with them, or physically harm others in the name of Christ. And then go to church and act as if they are living like christ. Like the pharisees Jesus constantly had to challange. No one is better than others, and the idea of life is to care for your brothers. To be a christian is to act like christ and alot of christians don't. Especially over beliefs like this. Jesus loved and helped everyone. Hung out with everyone. He didn't agree with the way they lived, but he cared none the less. For me, it's important to stress these types of questions. Mainly because so many people have suffered. Alot of gay youth have been hazed by so called Christians. It in no way was right. So why is it a issue to ask if we are interpreting scripture correctly or not?

By default, a person born is guilty of sin and deserves hell. Only because of the sin of the father. I think the focus has to be God loves us enough to give us a chance to be with him. As far as your belief if it's a mistranslation or not that is up to your interpretation. However, we are as Christians instructed to be wise as serpants and be knowledgeable. We don't have to believe everything, but we must address questions and discuss certain facts. Certain people in power have abused the teaching in the Bible. • @genodemay1
    @genodemay1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Don't make this too complicated. God does not care if somebody is gay or lesbian. God does not have issue with people's gender identity. The scriptures are referring to having sex where someone defecates, not having sex with an animal, and not having sex with a woman when she's on her period. Why? because the seed that creates new life is sacred. God does not want it being put in a man or a woman's anus. For example, if a friend has a prized possession, let's say her grandmother gave her a bracelet before she died. It has significant meaning to her. And a person took that bracelet from her and stuck it in his butt. That would be a sick act and disrespectful. The same goes for the seed that can creates a new life.
Secondly, people have said God created them gay or lesbian. This is not true. God gives everybody Free Will and choice. Mankind is the greatest supercomputer ever made. The minute a child is born, it begins to identify him/herself. And God is perfectly fine with how one chooses to identify oneself. Too many people have cried out to God and said, "why did you make me this way." And God's response is "you chose to be the way you are and I love you for who you are, don't listen to the hypocrites that hate you, they will receive their due punishment."
I hope this makes sense. I am an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ and I know what I am talking about. And signs and wonders follow me, so I say the false Christian disciples that hate gays and lesbians are going to get themselves in big trouble.

    • @Jeanettesboxingchannel

The thing about God not creating people gay or lesbian does not make sense because its not a choice. Tell me where is the soda machine where you chose "heterosexual"? Or the menu? At the time if you had a disability or issue it was seen as that you had sin or where sinning and that was why you where blind, or suffering an issue. So when Jesus said it to that individual it can be seen as Jesus following custom. (Debatable) and Sodom and Gamorrah where destroyed for a host of issues. Jesus in Mathew 12.7 says He requires mercy not sacrifice. This has led me to the belief that we (as christians) need to at least entertain new ideas and see things from others point of view before judging. As long as it is not hurting others. I wont go into debate here on the subject matter, however I am open to speak with you about it if interested. Stay Safe.

And that reason had absolutely NOTHING to do with homosexuality. Ezekiel 16:49-50 explains clearly it was because of their selfishness and disobedience to the laws of Hospitality in the desert regions.
The sex the people wanted to conduct was RAPE a way of demoralising and mistreating individuals. Armies have been known to use Rape as a method of control of prisoners. A rally recent example was the treatment of prisoners at Abu Grabe, during the second Desert Storm, and a crime that soldiers in the modern Age should be held accountable for.

Yes. For breaking the sacred laws of hospitality and attempting to rape Lot's visitors. Lot was so righteous, YHWH so benevolent, that Lot, a "Righteous" asshole, offered his own maiden daughters to ther mob to rape instead.
THAT kind of deity demands opposition. Luckily, that deity is the product of bronze age diseased minds, and not God at all.

I would rethink that thought. Sin is already normalized. I feel the film addresses questions Christians have been too stubborn or fearful to talk about and debate. Regardless, sin is between you and God. We can't judge others for their situation with God. All we can do is try to understand and be loving towards that person. We don't have to agree. We just need to treat them fairly.

A lot of people who claimed to be Christians have abusedthe wordd of God and have physically hurt people in Christ's name. Jesus loves everyone and demonstrated how to live life. @tracyskellington I guess it would depend on your definition of support. Jesus said other than blasphemy against the spirit no sin is unforgivable. And if you accept Him as your savior honestly you by Gods definition are saved. We can't say who other than ourselves are christian or not. Jesus said you don't know for sure. But you can Love the person not the sin. It's not supporting it if you go hey I disagree but I still love you. Is it bad to say hey I'm going to do as instructed by Jesus and love you no matter what? My point is we need to recognize that ostracising and not listening to others beliefs is not Christlike. Paul, Moses, Jesus and more all were aware of other religions, cultures, and beliefs and lived in them while still respecting them and giving God glory.

Wow! I get the pleasure of being the first to comment. Wonder why that is. I'll start by quoting your own words:
"A lot of young persons that are in the LGBT community that are christian struggle with their sexuality and being told that they are inherent sinners due to being who they where born as. This has caused painful experience from families being broken to young youths taking their own lives. Far from the preaching of Love Jesus commanded in the Gospel."
Let's take a little deeper looksee at that, shall we?
    1) Why the "young person? Do older people just grow out of it? Or have they so hardened their own hearts in Rebellion that God turns them over to a reprobate mind and they no longer struggle? Their conscience being so seared it's gone?
    2) Those who ae "in the LGBT community? What about the Q? I? A? +50? How non-inclusive of you!
    3) What does "christian" mean? It must be different than Christian because it is IMPOSSIBLE to be Christian and be "in the LGBT community". You're either "in Christ" or your "in" the world. You are either a child of God or a child of wrath. (Jn. 3:36, Eph. 2:1-3)
    4) What's wrong with tell them the Truth? ALL are born as inherently Sinners. Have you never heard of The Fall? Sin Nature? Jesus and why He came? Smh. As for the inference that the LGBTQ+50 are "born" as such, there is NO evidence apart from anecdotal Experientialism which is NO evidence at all.
As for the families being torn apart see Matt. 10. Around v.34 as I recall. And lastly, you have NO idea what "Love" is. "Love" doesn't aid, celebrate, approve of, endorse, support, or in any way participate in the death and eternal torment of another.
    And that can include Silence.
To “Love” truly is to desire their well-being and to promote their TRUE flourishing as much as you can. Or, in other words, to seek God’s highest best for that person. Homosexuality can NOT do that.
Do you love your neighbor enough to tell them they will spend Eternity in the torment of the Lake Of Fire if they don't confess, repent, and surrender as a slave to the Lord Jesus Christ?
𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒: This video, the movie, and all the characters in it, advocating for the sins they accept and wish to normalize, those promoting such, and/or supporting it in any way (Rom. 1:32) are simply doing what's been done since Satan first said, "Did God really say...?" Why? Simple. Because once you reject God's Word as the Final Authority by which you govern your life then you get to be your own authority and god. Since they know they can't get rid of the Bible and they can't prove the Bible wrong, they must try to rewrite it and/or explain it away in such a way that folks will drink their kool-aid.

Hey Royce, your entitled to your opinion and Im glad to speak a little about mine to you. Though the kool aid joke was in bad taste. I feel the written word can not convey the emotions and correct tone of voice for a full recant so I am willing to speak to you on the phone or skype to discuss this further. Im not going to respond to every point you made on this platform however, my email is on the youtube info if you wish to speak. I'm more than happy to address every question that you had. We could do our own video or it can be private. As for what I will speak on:
The first things first, I would like to remind you that Jesus stated that the only sin unforgivable is slander the Holy Spirit. (referencing my oxford study Bible.) I would need to know what that means to you. My interpretation is though we are not to sin, there is no sin that is unforgivable excluding that one. We have a merciful loving God, though He can have a temper as seen in the Old Testament. In theory even though we would be grieving the Holy Spirit you can still be saved. This can be disputed depending on your stances and other beliefs as this was a topic of debate I saw in College.
Second you stated "Do you love your neighbor enough to tell them they will spend Eternity in the torment of the Lake Of Fire if they don't confess, repent, and surrender as a slave to the Lord Jesus Christ?" I believe the way Christians go about telling non christians about salvation is unacceptable at times. I've been at rock concerts where preachers where screaming "Do you think God loves you when you masterbate, and drink your devils water. You need God or you'll burn in hell!!!" Well yes, I do think he loves us and God tells us He does even if we are sinner or sin. However, to a person who never heard the message and or are not apart of the religion how do you think they will feel? Targeted and hated. This would make them think "why would I join a terrible group such as this". They obviously don't have a loving heart. First impressions and delivery is key. Paul being smart knew this so he incorporated ways to get peoples attention without turning them off to the message. When speaking in Greece in Acts 17 Paul references the fake gods that they knew and went on to say "You have a statue to the unknown God, I'm here to tell you that I know him". (Quote paraphrased). And Paul used this to speak about God and Jesus. Just telling people your going to hell when they may not be a believer and have no reference is not right. I would argue it's not right to make such a statement at all, the verse and story is eluding me do to the hour however, the idea is not to judge because those who you think are going to hell may actually be saved and those who think they are saved will go to hell. I need to find that reference. Would you walk up to someone at a funeral and tell them that their loved one is in hell just because they where not a believer? I hope not. We are merely to tell of Christ's story in a loving way, yet I see Christians (not all) putting more emphases on hell then God's love. God's love is what wins souls, not the fear of hell.
To answer what love is I would also need to know your definition of what Love is. Love can take on many definitions even though. Is it romantic, is it friendly, or is it the Love God has for us where he continues to show affection and care even though we sin against him. I have my stance on the subject of sin and I believe that a person's sins are between them and God. I can't judge them and their struggles. I can only love and support them on their journey to figure out life. Which the church has done a very terrible job. God loves the sinner through all of it. Even Jesus loved judas. So much so no one knew who would betray Him. Our job is to support each other, need a place to stay come to my house, are you hungry please eat with me, are you sick stay in my house etc. I question what grounds would you refuse these to a person? How is it my stance to tell someone how to live, God gave them free will and I can't stop it. My job is to love like Christ who from my readings talked too and hung out with everyone. May not have done what they where doing, but most certainly was in their presence. If two people regardless of sex evoke love from one another without hurting other, (excluding spiritual aspects and christian belief) who am I to be rude and say your wrong. It's not my business, and even if they are friend or family I can speak my mind, but it would be wrong of me to cut them off because of their sexual preference then it would be for me to be there for them in their time of need.
As for your jab in question two, I see where your going but I want to make clear that we have to look at a certain fact. There are cases all around the world past and current depending on the country of transexuals and homosexuals being targeted and brutally murder for their orientation specifically. I'm talking about police finding male individuals with their throats slit, testicles in their mouth, and a knife in their rectum. Women with their breasts cut off and other horrid things I wont mention here. There is also a high number of suicides related to bullying of homosexual kids and adults. Just what if the movie is correct and someone made a mistake, if that means possibly saving families, stopping murder, or saving at least one life is it not worth listening too? I am strong enough in my faith where i can challenge it and still have it. All these past figures in history questioned the church and turned out to be right, what's wrong with asking and evaluating and coming to a decision? I may watch it and think this movie has no validity or I may watch it and be exactly on the same page. If it means possibly saving a life here, its worth it, because saving a life here can save a soul.
      FOR EVERYONE ELSE:
Please know that I found it very important to tackle this subject initially because Christians have a hard time agreeing to disagree. It's important even if we disagree with each other on a subject we love each other, and it's a concept Christian's are still trying to master. For my fellow Christian's I know what's at stake but God in the end will let the truth be known, we just have to do our best to live as good as a life as we can for ourselves and help others on the way. In Acts 5:34 Paul's teacher Gamaliel addresses the Sanhedrin about Peter and John when they preached. It's a read that made me think of this. If God prospers the movie then there must be a reason.
..A Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. 35 Then he addressed the Sanhedrin: “Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36 Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37 After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. 38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

@@JohnTheNinja //Well yes, I do think he loves us and God tells us He does even if we are sinner or sin.//
You have a different god. God NEVER says that. And a different god doesn't saved anyone. It's simply an idol leading you to Hell.
//However, to a person who never heard the message and or are not apart of the religion how do you think they will feel? Targeted and hated.//
One surefire sign that you are dealing with a fool is when they ask a question and then immediately turn around and demonstrated they have NO intention of hearing/considering the answer. So I'll just say this: YOU don't know that's true! And I've seen the EVIDENCE as I just stated. You're projecting YOUR FEEWINGS onto everyone else with a SINFUL faux-omniscience exercised from your high and lofty SINFUL self-built throne crafted out of your SINFUL self-imposed god-complex has failed you miserably. It ALWAYS does.
//This would make them think "why would I join a terrible group such as this".//
More of the same and is the "fruit" of the false convert from the MAN-Centered theology/soteriology of the Easy-Believism/Seeker-Sensitive false gospel.
      //They obviously don't have a loving heart.//
Obvious to you. To one who doesn't know what Love is and is so full of the Flesh they turn true Love into Sentimental Emotionalism & Experientialism that fits their idolatry.
//First impressions and delivery is key.//
Says you. Where does God say that? If that were true why didn't Jesus do better at making first impressions? And even when He did the VAST MAJORITY who yelled "HOSANNA!! HOSANNA!!" with their first impression wound up yelling "CRUCIFY HIM!! CRUCIFY HIM!!" just 3dys later. So much for first impressions being key,.
The only thing that proves is that MANY are Biblically ignorant & have NO clue that you can't turn away the spiritually-dead, totally-depraved sons of disobedience who follow after the Flesh, the World, & The Enemy. IOW Self, Sin, & Satan.(Eph. 2:1-3)
It also highlights what an impotent god they worship. I'll never understand why SO many people believe that a mere human being has more power to draw by their actions (and in most cases they say “push away”) an Unbeliever than the Father to draw them to Christ (Jn. 6:44) and the Holy Spirit has to convict (Jn. 16:8).
When anyone makes a statement like "You only push away..." it only goes to show:
      1) Their Man-Centered theology,
      2) Their low view of Scripture,
      3) Most importantly what an impotent god they worship. That Almighty God is hindered by ANYTHING a mere human being does is pure hogwash.
      4) That they are in all probability in dire need of salvation.
Oh, and btw, your climbing up on your self-built throne to exercise your faux-omniscience from a self-imposed god-complex is sin. YOU have NO idea whether their or my "method" is turning people away or being used by the Holy Spirit to turn people on!! Each will give an account to God on their day of Judgment.
FACT: Jesus gave the Great Commission. He said to go and preach the Gospel and to make disciples. NOT make a good first impression,. Romans 1:16 says that it is the GOSPEL that is the POWER unto Salvation. NOT first impressions.
//Paul being smart knew this so he incorporated ways to get peoples attention without turning them off to the message.//
False. Paul's theology and soteriology was GOD-Centered. Paul started for a correct position. You're starting from a false position. Which is why you're seeing things the way you are. You have a wrong starting place and therefore see things wrongly.
//When speaking in Greece in Acts 17 Paul references the fake gods that they knew and went on to say "You have a statue to the unknown God, I'm here to tell you that I know him". (Quote paraphrased).//
You're totally misunderstanding and misrepresenting what Paul was doing there. That is an often used passage to show the importance of and need for Apologetics and how to be trained in it. And you have completely missed what happened there.
//And Paul used this to speak about God and Jesus. Just telling people your going to hell when they may not be a believer and have no reference is not right.//
Your OPINION is duly noted and summarily dismissed because, well, it's just that and MORE IMPORTANTLY God says otherwise. So, if we are to go by your theology Jesus did that which was "not right". Got it.
