I work as a gas station attendant in real life. I hear phantom clicks of cars being ready all the time. My state doesn't have self service, one of the only two left. I don't know if I can handle this video.
There's an achievement for paying off Uncle's first loan. It's called "Impossible! Paid off Uncle's first loan on time." The only way to do this is to unlock the fuel pump and then do nothing else - Uncle's loan timer will never start. This will let you gain money from the fuel pump and from lockpicking customers' cars (optionally, you can broom them first so they get stuck.) There is also a golf game behind the warehouse that costs $5 a try and gives $15 if you score under 5 par. They fixed the glitch that let you cheat it out of tons of money, though.
You know, Vinny keeps starting businesses in all these simulator games and then leaving them behind as one-offs, so it's Vinny's fault all of these places are so shit, he was the previous owner and left it like trash for the next player who dedicates hours to it.
I cannot tell if the way the customer AI doesn't even wash after shitting is something I appreciate as attention to crust details or something I abhor as an affront to humanity.
I keep wondering why some of these simulators are so pleasing to play too, I keep coming back to Power wash Simulator and the next thing I know its 3:30 am and I realise I've been power washing digital mud off of things for hours in a weird zen trance

My best friend's parents own and run a gas station. Theirs isn't in the middle of the desert though (theirs is right off the interstate and right across from the mall, so prime location lol) but I have heard all kinds of crazy stories, such as people trying to drive off without paying for their car repairs or gas and he had to chase them down, and drunk people threatening the booth attendants, and such.
I process police reports for a living in a small to mid-sized city. It is honestly baffling to me to see the things that happen in my area. At gas stations, drive offs and shopliftings are the least weird thing. There was one instance where a citizen witnessed a shoplifting and took it upon himself to stop the guy. They get into a fist fight and when the suspect got away and out of the store the citizen gave chase and open fire with a concealed weapon. The suspect hopped in a car and sped off through some bushes and the citizen hopped in his car and gave chase while still shooting at the suspect. All of this over a 6 pack of Bud Light at a gas station that doesn't even prosecute shopliftings. And to be honest that's not even the wildest shit we see.

Why is this game so amazing to watch, i could imagine myself investing such a long time into this game and i'm not even joking. I love such "zen" like games where you can see your progress, customize stuff and all. I hope vinniy plays more of it someday, it's such a nice chill out game.

As someone who bags groceries for a living, I’m caught between the “scan and checkout” ‘Minigame’. On one hand, it’s nice to play and see something one promotion up away from my job that I have no ambition to get. On the other hand, it brings back some bad memories and I can already feel fatigued from it. So now this game is on my Steam Wishlist. Can’t wait to see if they get a lot of the bugs out.
Are these games actually quality or has our standards been so dampened by the sad state of AAA studios we think this is good? Not judging the game either way. I'm just postulating. I know the indie market has given us exceptionally good titles over the past decade so maybe it's actually good.
AAA games have become borderline unplayable but with billions of dollars sunk into the graphics and cutscenes.(which break and don't even work half the time anyway) In the meantime an indie game has dumpy graphics and a 50/50 chance of being amazing or shit. Quality is not related to visual fidelity and anyone saying otherwise needs to find a different hobby. People are starting to prefer the 50/50 chance of fun instead of %100 chance of virtue signaling psychos shoving racist(as in they sincerely judge people based on skin color alone) garbage down your throat while sit through the same shallow Open-World "follow the guys and listen to dialogue" garbage that has been coming out for over 10 years. AAA games are a really bad joke and only Twitter is laughing.

Movie shlock hack-fraud yadda yadda stuff can be zoned out to while games keep your brain just active enough so you notice the lack of care in what you're experiencing. Movies have also by and large become an avenue for propaganda against rational behavior. But like you said that's a different conversation. In all fairness people are pretty sick of movies too. It's like the only audience for any media anymore is gullible little kids who do not know what quality is. It's unsustainable and is frustrating millions of people.
