    Thanks Spencer for this interesting tutorial.
    I would like to understand if it is possible to apply a variant to the solution indicated that can be fine but unfortunately if a user A compiles the data and in the meantime also a user B and a User C are doing it none of them will achieve the correct result because each one changes the data and other people's results making the calculator unreliable.
    Here is what I want to achieve;
    After creating the three sheets Formulas, Middle and Source
    1) share the Source Sheet with the final option in the url "/ copy" to force the recipient to create a copy of the sheet
    2) the user who receives the copy with editor permission, as in your example, will be able to edit the sheet by entering values or selecting values from the drop-down menus
    3) through the IMPORTRANGE function the sheet secretly takes the formulas from the sheet I HAVE NOT SHARED "Formulas"
    4) using the formulas to import, process the data in your own sheet leaving intact the Source sheet and the Middle sheet and the original Formulas sheet without modifying any data
    Basically it should work as a calculator for which the formulas remain hidden and not interceptible.
    I also take this opportunity to ask you if it is possible to make sure that a website can use the sheet as an engine to process answers always leaving the original sheets intact.
    Thank you

    If I wanted to create a google sheet template to sell, would I have to create unique source/formula sheets for each customer, or is there a way to create one formula sheet, and sell the one source sheet?

    Its interesting but you if go to B2 in source table you can see the middle-step ID. Editing de URL, you can go do middle-step table and repeating the previous step you can go to formula table. I know thats not gonna be a problem for most users but isnt a fail? Or am i miss something?

      That's only true if the middle-step sheet is shared with your users. In this setup you should only be sharing the Source sheet with users.
