Their live video of Stabbing in the Dark is really good as well. I love how they have multiple harsh vocalists! It really allows each singing to get a little break from having one person needing to carry everything all the time.
I saw them perform this live and I literally lost my mind. They put on a phenomenal live show. 10/10 would recommend. The theatrics are amazing and their live sound is insane. I remember Spencer literally walking on top of the crowds hands and standing there continuing to do his harsh vocals. It was awesome!
You *HAVE* to watch “Welcome to Horrorwood” The title track for their most recent album, Or Stabbing in the dark, they both showcase Spencer cleans vocals + his distorted ones so good The shower scene and rainy day are also fucking awesome
This live capture is awesome, But Spencer let the crowd sing the most awesome line in that whole song that comes right before the breakdown “The wrath of god lives beneath this soil” Is just absolutely atrocious scream in the best way possible
Good morning from New England I'm not usually a Metalcore listener but I totally dig INK I'm a huge horror fan and the vocals are a bit more dynamic than the average MC bands I've heard bc they all sing and bring something different to the sound Plus being a drummer I'm vibing on what he's doing Thx for the vid Chris ✌️🧐🤘
"Funeral Derangements" was the one that introduced me to Ice Nine Kills yesterday! I'm super happy you made this video, it was really fun for me to analyze the vocals while watching it. ✨ "The American Nightmare" is another song I've listened to that I have to say it would be interesting to see you analyze, both Spencer's clean and distorted vocals are pretty neat in that one. "Rainy Day" it's also fantastic. And I agree with @steven_steve_steve2308 hehe, I would really recommend reacting to Avatar. Johannes Eckerström's vocals are amazing and the songs from this band are super fun to listen to!👌
I would really recommend reacting to Ryo Kinoshita from Knosis and formerly Crystal Lake! His vocals are some of the best in the game 💪💪 Great video as always!
Do you like Ice Nine Kills? Not really.... IFYKYK HA, just so glad you listened to them. My FAV band. I'm so glad you mentioned that so many of them sing. They are so well-rounded in that way, they complement each other nicely.
The other two guys singing are Joe and Ricky who have their own projects, HAWK ( Ricky), Hillhaven (Ricky) and Flat Out. The drummer Patrick also has his own projects Nightrider and Lowist. Miles (the guitarist without a mic) is a part of Interloper and Payton Parrish but hes currently filling in for Dan who couldnt tour while going through cancer treatments and Dan makes his own music too.
It's interesting to me how so much of aggressive vocals are based on restricting airflow i.e., compression, yet sighing is a way of releasing about as much air as possible. This tells me that restricting air in itself doesn't bring about grit in itself; it's the constriction of the airway that does that, whether a little or a lot of air is pushed through that constriction. More air pushed through a constricted airway creates more distortion...and dries out the vocal cords quicker too.
Great analysis! It’d be really cool if you could do an analysis on Ado’s cover of Bocca Della Verita, it is absolutely amazing I would highly recommend checking it out!
Not my style, but really interesting. I made a list of singers I admire and singers some said I sound like. First was Little Richard (I admire, not like I sound like). I see how Paul McCartney was influenced. I don't know if it would be fruitful for you, but there's not much analysis of his out there.

I've wanted Elizabeth to analyze Ice nine kills for so long, glad to see you found them
I've been hoping for so long that you'd cover Ice Nine Kills!
Me as well, and I would love it when the charismatic voice will go through the INK rabbit hole.
Chris digging in does satisfy me
100% I've been waiting for so long for this. There are so many songs Chris can analyze by Ice Nine Kills. Spencer is one of my favorite vocalists

This is true, definitely helps out with vocal fatigue throughout the touring.
Spencer is one of my favorite vocalist. So happy to see you doing a video on I9K

Yes! Ice Nine Kills is my favorite band love to see breakdowns of their music
Super glad to see you do a video on this song especially after I just mentioned it in the comments somewhat recently!
I would love to see a vocal analysis of Johannes Eckerström of Avatar. I think this could be a lot of fun.
FUCK YES
@@LosingFaithMusic I just love the variety of sounds Johannes can do
This live capture is awesome,

I second this!
You need to react to their song It Is The End, you'd have a field day with the variety in screams and layers between all the vocalists
Even Patrick (drummer) does vocals for INK! They are so good live!
Do you like Ice Nine Kills? Not really.... IFYKYK
HA, just so glad you listened to them. My FAV band.
I'm so glad you mentioned that so many of them sing. They are so well-rounded in that way, they complement each other nicely.
Spencer is insane
their live version of Stabbing in the Dark is a perfect example how they can scream and harmonize perfectly together

Check out Tallah!! Love ice nine kills and their versatility
Loved this!
You should cover Nothing More and Nightwish!
Yeeeeessssss!!! INK are amazing!
A must see band live if I must say!
Stabbing in the Dark at the Paladium next!
From what it looks to me, there’s 3 people doin vocals. Lots of crazy energy in this live performance.
Iirc in the song there’s four people doing vocals
@@KozakuraRabbit ah ok. I couldn’t tell for sure.
I'm excited for the michael jackson get on the floor multitrack reaction Video
Spencer’s high scream is just too disturbing, which I really like it
Down on my knees for Gigi de Lana's take on Unholy.
Good Video

You gotta react to Ice Nine Kills 'Rocking the Boat'

Please analyse Step Back, from GOT the Beat! It's one of my favorite songs in terms of voice use.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hello Chris!
Just wanted to ask if where going to make a reaction on Ado: Fleeting Lullaby
It’s filmed! Just waiting on the copyright to clear. :)
@@chrisliepe Cant wait for it!
Can you do a tutorial on how to sing like Spencer?
and that's WITHOUT their regular guitarist Dan Sugarman.
Ha! Small world, I went out to lunch with Dan Sugarman a few years ago... Cool guy!
