    I will occasionally run a F.T.T. Tri Avatar Multi-Chorus with a DC-2W for the Mike Landau tone. Love em both. Nice demo & comparison. Well done.

      Thanks, really nice pedal you have! I'm thinking of buying the Neunaber trichorus from their website until there is the discount sale! Please subscribe!

      How do you stack them? Dc2w before or after the chorus?

  • @themodularmodular
    @themodularmodular 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    DC seems cool and simple, but after a while.. you'd want that self-tailored tones. To me, CE's tones are just a pinnacle of the best chorus tones, and that deep wavy vibe on CE-1 setting.. ugh, game over

    • @TheSpaceGuitar

      I agree with you, but the DC as a carpet tone in the effect loop is perfect. We always look for the ultimate pedal, but really with DC and CE the beauty is in the combo. Please consider subscribing to my channel if you haven't already mate

    Basically, DC2W has 20 differnent sounds you get what you select. CE-2w has 2 sounds select how much you want.

    Love your channel my friend. I'm wondering I see out of the Dimension you are running 2 outputs....obviously to that killer JC40 in stereo 👍....yet out of the CE-2W only one out the mono jack......when the Dimension is out of the loop (off).....isn't the CE-2W just in mono since you aren't using the B output ?? I've always done Output A to Input A Output B to Input B .....Out A Out B 🤷‍♂️......unfair advantage no ?.....am I wrong lol ....am I wasting RCA cables ? ......keep it up man ...great stuff 👌

    • @TheSpaceGuitar
      @TheSpaceGuitar  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Bob! Before giving you the answer, telling the truth nothing but the truth, I assure you that for the purpose of this video the mono out of the CE2w represents very well that chorus sound and you are not missing its tone. I had to choose this solution because sometimes, try it in the loop, the ce2w analog circuit goes out of phase with other modulations in a stereo rig.

    • @bcummings2187
      @bcummings2187 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheSpaceGuitar Interesting .....I would not have thought about the phase issue 👍.....I'm surprised you did not include the JC 40's own chorus and compare all 3 haha .....I have all 3 as well and in my opinion.....and it's tough....the JC40 Chorus and the Dimension are very close ...sometimes I prefer the JC40's chorus ....sometimes I prefer the Dimension ....The CE-2W is by no means a slouch but there is just something about the chorus in the JC40 and what the Dimension does 🤷‍♂️......either way if you are looking for a chorus type effect ...you cant go wrong with either 3 👍

    I like them both, Ce2 has a bit more personality though...(versatility)

    • @TheSpaceGuitar
      @TheSpaceGuitar  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree. But the Dc2w works better in the loop of an amp

  • @efrazable
    @efrazable 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    always thought the dc-2w was the ultimate mod pedal, but i thought the ce-2w sounded better just about every position

    • @TheSpaceGuitar
      @TheSpaceGuitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      they do different jobs, the Ce2 is better in front of the amp, the DC2 is better in the loop. I prefer the CE2w by the way. please subscribe

      As a chorus / mod pedal I agree, ce-2w is such an unbeatable classic recognisible. But, two aspects the dc-2w is better at is the stereo widening effect, and that it's more subtle/transparent. It preserves the attack/character of the original sound better, but puts it in the centre of a nice wide stereo field. If I wanted to turn a mono signal into stereo and without a super obvious wavy chorus sound, the dc-2w is fantastic, especially used on a send, so you can vary the wetness for extra control of how subtle you want it to be. It also works great on mono synths and even vocals for that, where the CE would drown those sources in chorus. Which sometimes just isn't what you want. Slight problem then, is that I want both. And, then there's the Fairfield Shallow Water which is also a lovely sound, and very much it's own subtle thing, but with that characterful LPG. Shame they don't do a stereo version, like Boss.

    This new dc2 waza is too much subtle... Almost no difference between On/OFF and the presets. The original was already subtle but now all the depth is gone.

    • @TheSpaceGuitar
      @TheSpaceGuitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In the efx loop the dc2w sounds much more pronounced, so much that can be too much...
