I had this Ibanez delay. Had to sold it. Noticed its dry signal boosting lows and noticeably darkening my tone. Bought Boss DM-2w. It has transparent dry signal without any coloration. Much better.
Hi, Is the plethora having a dotted 8th delay which can be used for live shows?
Yes there is
That playing was beautiful, gave me a similar feeling too “time in a bottle”
Great sounding pedal! Great review!👍
These Yamaha amps excel at pristine clean tones. If you need some crunch, throw a good pedal on it, they are very pedal friendly. I had the G-50iii and foolishly sold it. Looking around for another one.
Right, wait until it fails, then it becomes collectable.... again, just like the original Ross line. 😂
It's "DC-2W" and "CE-2W". Not "DC2-W. nor CE2-W"
JC 40 clearly. The Fender has an underlying bass boominess that I hate. It's not a bad amp but definitely would not be my first choice. Also, is the fact that every pedal I've used with a JC 40 comes though pronounced and tamable. Not so with the Fender. Again, that underlying boom always remains. Can't say I'm a fan of the Fenders price either. Even as a paid gigging musician it's going to take a while to pay it off. If I want that bass response I can still get it through a JC40 through some tweaking of the EQ, I can't really get rid of it through the Fender.
It’s always a matter of open mind to really judge these amps. Both have different strengths, but in the end I kept the Roland
Clean set up, Do you Velcro the bottoms of your pedals?
Yes, mate, please subscribe!
No te-2 bummer it's a hit or miss for most people.....still very cool ever try the fb-2 I know it's discontinued but with enough momentum we could bring it back into musical circulation, tell your friends join the movement
@@seansabu310 sold the TE2. The revised version in the DD200 is better
@@TheSpaceGuitar I did the same thing!
Awesome! Great comparison! Great pedals!👍
Thanks mate 🙏🏻
Have the RE2 DM2 and DD7 and 8 so far have resisted the temptation to buy the SDE as not sure that adds enough compared to the pair of DDs
I had an SDE 3000 but sold it for the single pedal. Sold also DD7 and DD8, the DD3 is anything you need in the boss digital delay world.
Sorry, but maybe the DD3 can be all you need but I don't think it's the same for everyone. Personally I find the dd-3, especially the latest model with tap tempo, rather cold and metallic, absolutely not up to the initial production. Unlike you, however, I removed all the delays I had and kept the DD-8, in my opinion one of the best delays Boss has ever produced after the DD-2. It has a warm and organic sound, it is equally warm with overdrive/distortion/fuzz sounds without changing the timbre and it has a lot of sounds for those who like to experiment. And last but not least, it has a really well done internal buffer that does not change the sound of the guitar in bypass. Cheers.
@ I totally agree about the DD8, the real heir to the DD20 in terms of tone and features. But I own so many delays that I prefer going straight to the core with the DD3. Maybe compared to the first gen is colder but if you watch my comparison with the DM2w they are almost there in warmness
@@TheSpaceGuitar yes does depend on the use case I tend to use the Dm or re when I want the more analog feel and use the other dds in different ways most often longer repeats - analog mode is pretty good on these
Love your playing. Just subbed.... I think. I really like the JC-120. But.... that amp seems to want to go in a different direction, similar but different. This amp has a very nice clean Fenderish tone. I need to tempt myself with some more G.A.S.
@@Twinhit you can't go wrong with a JC120 mate
You should try the Roland bolt , criminally underrated amp the cleans on it are up there with early hiwatts dr103 , also I own a Roland 20w super cube which was the inspiration for the Roland chorus I personally enjoy it a little more cause its got a bitchin drive
Don't tell me this. I'm so curious to try a Bolt, I definitely will buy one for fun.
Just stumbled across this today! What a nice trick! Really jazzed up my Jazz Chorus.

@@TheSpaceGuitar I’ve used my JC120 since around 1986.
I have both bought the bp1w for this only ! Adds something
The Grobert preamp has more harmonics but this is more silent and help cut through the mix
Awesome pedals! Great in depth review!👍
Thanks mate, I always appreciate your comments
It sounds way better than I imagined. Good for those who got one in the final sale.
I just could get this one, I’m so sad about it
I grabbed the phaser. It's great.
I’m sure about that. I hope Josh will make a final reissue run
very good demo! reminds very good demo! my video of the 8240: no talking, mic'ed and mixed tone, settings to see! thanks from Germany!

I saw the blowout sale too late, went to grab some but it was too late.
On Amazon us there is still some gear
Can it get pretty loud without distorting?
Yes but the sound is what it is
@ You mean it stays transparent and flat.
@JohnZornAscended i'd choose something else mate...
Beautiful sound.
Thanks

Great distortion pedal!👍
And Is super affordable too! Thanks mate
I have that same one, I love it but the pots needs replacement, I'm pretty sure I can use the kit from the twin reverb 65 reissue. But I wanted to ask someone about it. Do you know if that can be done?
Hi mate, the amp is a standard twin reverb reissue so everything is compatible with the 2*12 version. Please subscribe
holy moley! extremely curious about this amp!! dang, that is awesome!

Once upon a time, i knew a young dude playing another dude portraying as an gitarist. The dude started with Marshal, cause why not. Then the dude bought a bigger Marshal. But as the dude playing another dude portraing a gitarist got tired of the baaad clean Marshal sound, he then sold all his Marshal amps and bought the JC-40, while the dude actually wanted a Vox amp.. Anyway, the dude fell in love with the JC-40 and almost lived happy ever after. But there was something missing.. the high gain distortion. So the dude bought a affordable Randall 75 G3 and then his life was complete. The dude no longer needed a Vox amp, since both Randall and Roland was such a chad Cheers!face-blue-smiling
Cool comparison. Really shows the difference between the amps.
Thanks mate, please subscribe
The JC sounded more open, while the Fender sounded warmer and fuller. Yours is the very test i've been hunting for. Thanks!
I'm glad I was helpful for you. Thanks
hello, friend! what do you think about spark 2?
@@evgenijsiyan the spark app is by far the best in the market. In terms of pure tone I haven’t had the chance to play MK2. MK1 was a bit boomy. If I have to choose one desktop amp I’d go for sure on the Yamaha. But I’d rather invest that money in a JC 22
very nice! are the drums coming from the internal patterns from the rc-5 or did you import them as a backing track? I'm thinking of getting one of them myself
Thanks my friend, The drums are from the RC-5.
