I love how they're having a conversation about one of the recent breakdowns while in the middle of the ride. Just another day at the office talking shop-talk, for them.
If I could find retro footage like this for the WDW version, that would be incredible. My parents were cast members in the late 80s and I've yet to find anything about Space Mountain while they were there.
That is cool, very very rare to find Disneyland's Space Mountain with the lights on these days compared to Disney World's Space Mountain where you can often see the ride with the lights on from the Peoplemover tunnel. Also, I didn't see the Peoplemover tracks in this lights on POV, are they hidden, where can I see the windows for the Peoplemover tunnel that goes through Disneyland's Space Mountain? Also this is pretty cool, you can count me into riding Space Mountain with the lights on at Disney World after work if I work at Disney World in the future or if Space Mountain is still open by then. I am on the East Coast so that's why I am saying about Disney World.
Nope. Disneyland in California track from the top of C Lift to the transfer block in the station is from Dynamic Attractions. Paris and Hong Kong track is from Vekoma. Orlando and Tokyo track is from Arrow.
The second lifthill originally had a sort of kaleidoscope effect and had way better sound effects. Also, the actual ride didn't just have star projections, it also had the soccer ball satellite working
Wow, anytime I see old footage of pre 2005 Space Mountain its awesome, but to see one with a backstage look as well is a great bonus.

Also none of them have their restraints down
that's stupid even know that ride is not that crazy

Wow! That's some awesome footage of the old Space Mountain with the lights on! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, pre 2005 space mountain with the lights on.
Man, this is priceless! I do hope you have more vids like this!!!
No one had their lap bars on. LOL😂
Also, the thumbnail looks like a hand holding a cube.

The windows are right when the car hits the second right turn on the left, after the block section.
November 1989 to be exact.
Why are the lights on the first lift more of a blacklight purple color? they are usualy yellow-tan in normal lights off videos.
Actually the Color in Person is more of a reddish orange but the camera has the incorrect hues.
They would probably very frequently have the engineers riding it after hours with the lights on for inspection purposes.
Old track (1977-2003) made by Arrow Dynamics. New track (2005-?) made by Vekoma. Disney fun fact. ;)
I think the new track was manufactured by Dynamic Attractions
+CraZKaZ 100 Nope. The current version in operation at Disneyland was manufactured by Dynamic Attractions.

I think the only Space Mountain that was an Arrow coaster was the Orlando one.
Big Boy Pasta The disney world space mountain was made in-house.
this is so cool.

it's chef mike !
Thats the old Space mountain before the refurb
Looks old and rough compared to the refit that opened in 2005.
It was the shiz! It was the best ride there in the early 80s.
wow
Why does the track look so different to modern space mountain?
Its the same just cant see it in the dark
They completely re-tracked the whole ride for 2005. Same layout, just new track.
@@Christeameryup except for the lift hills and maintenance area
Old Space Mountain looks kinda cheap compared to the new one
Old Space Mountain looks far better though. This isn't showing the best of the ride though.
Believe it or not it was better then today’s
Zuniga System Entertainment do u mind explaining how it was better, i genuinely wanna know
Anakin Skinwalker its atmosphere seems a lot more interesting.
